Location is picturesque. The room's view was great. The room itself is basic. Lighting controls are all over the room. It would be helpful if some of the main lights turned on when entering the room especially when you have young ones. My toilet paper and facial tissues at home are better than theirs. Not signed friendly in the hotel nor at the parking areas. Public toilets at the casino are filthy but the washing areas are great. I wouldn't stay there again.

Decided to travel down to Hobart via Melbourne and stay at the Wrest Point for a few days. On arrival, we had a lovely staff member who was lovely a greeting my wife and self,we had been told that we had been moved to another room facing out to the bay (thank you 😊)
The room was so nice hard to even leave it, lol 😆
I'm not a gambler, but I still liked walking around and taking it in. I went to a show to see Em Rusciano, and it was great, very well set up and comfortable. The next night we had dinner it was lovely, and the staff were nice to chat with and good service �'�

We made our booking through Agoda, and it includes free parking.

We got offered free upgrade from Water Edge room to Deluxe Harbour View room.

Room was clean with 2 nice beds - King and Single.
Toilet was clean, with great temperature control for showering.

Really thankful for the team for making our trip a wonderful one.

Light from hallway shines through underneath the door (not a complete blockout) making the room illuminated at night. Lots of the light switches on the wall, but don't all appear to do anything. One elevator was out of service at the time. It was a really clean and comfortable room though with a great view and great service from staff.

love our 9 days stay at this hotel... it was winter low season occupancy. It was very pleasant without the crowd except over the weekend with the young casino gamers.

Beautiful views overlooking both the bay and undulating hills. The sights were different at dawn, morning and night.

Amenities were quite complete though we had no opportunities to use them. The room was spacious, clean, well equipped and bathroom was freshly renovated (or very well maintained!)

I booked my 4 nights and I was excited to get my room on the building and see the river as was showing on the website but when I was doing check in the reception (man wasn't polite) and him told that my room would be on the "Motor in"!
Pay attention when you get a room on website I don't recommend you get a room in Motor in room!!
Too noise at night (motor noise in the room) and you won't sleep well

A nice place just south of central Hobart. Casino with many ammenities and restaurants. Busy on weekends and quiet during the week. Very attentive staff. Great rooms. Ample parking. Great value for what you pay during the off peak time.

We had a wonderful time at Wrest Point! For its low price, we enjoyed a spacious room, sufficient parking, staff were all really friendly and they even had this special service to try out different pillows at no cost. What's more, Wrest Point gave us 2 free drinks on the house when we mentioned it was our anniversary. Can't wait to be back!

Great location. Comfy bed, nice view although my room is only second floor. Great service especially the housekeeper lady who work on 19.03.2024. Room service breakfast on 20.03.2024 was amazing. Definitely will be back and highly recommend. Great job team !!

Great hotel in a great location. You will have some delays if one of the lifts are out, gets tiresome after a while. Casino is great, rooms were comfortable. I'd love to get my hands on their king-sized pillows

Have stayed here many times, we love the friendliness and caring of the staff, I honestly could not fault anything, we usually use room service, go to a show, the last time was recently with Peter Hellier, great show, as was Urzula Carlson. Food from room service was fabulous, food from the Cafe and board walk wonderful. My advice, if you book to see a show, stay the night as well and enjoy some pampering and luxury.

Came here to have a lunch at Bistro cafe in ground level casino, the staffs were terrible with no customer service, the Chinese lady called Pat and Australian Diane were the worst ones I have seen. Looking grumpy when politely asking where we can order food. Disgusted, bad experience ever

People will generally go somewhere because the venue has something to offer that others don't have. The Casino is one such place. What makes an enjoyable visit and make one keen to return or pass on positive feedback to others will be the staff. Unfortunately the staff lack providing its clientele that special experience. I did not feel that special experience so I will spend my money else where next time where the staff do what they are paid for Customer Relations.

The renovations look great, the atmosphere is good, makes the place stand out from what are used to look like, on the downside. Dress code is gone out the window, the only thing missing from some patrons where thongs and hi viz vests. At least in the casino part, maybe a little bit of a dress code

Trendy atmosphere, everyone dressed up and having a good time. Place was packed.
Our Drinks & snack food were delicious.
Easy access with plenty of taxis waiting to take us home. Our First time!

Been going to Wrest Point for more than 30 years now. Stayed there 2 years ago and the room was a good size for our cheap bums. Roomy for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids liked the pool and mini golf. Went to Revolving restaurant at the top and the food was very good. Cost around $300 for 2 adults and 2 kids. We all had a main and desert and the ambience there was really nice. All up we all had a good time as we did this time as well. I'll be going back.

Perfect location. You save yourself the hassle of parking and the fees related. Elegant lobby, great renovations provides great entertainment. Different restaurants on site ans plenty of gaming options. We took the deluxe king harbour view rooms, pretty breathtaking view from the window. Shower pressure not the best, and pillow quality could be better.

We have been staying at wrest point for a long time. But this time was so much special. I could see the place looked awesome with new renovations and bars. It was worth it. The rooms were awesome and we had booked the motor in first and upgraded to the tower later on. And special thanks to the duty manager Delmer. He made all the process so smooth. He was really helpful and experienced great customer service.

We loved staying here. It is central to everything we wanted to do. The room was clean and easily accessible. Comfortable beds. A great view. We had dinner in the Bistro and our favourite was the Birdcage cocktail lounge with live music and cocktails. We enjoyed a small flutter on the pokies one night which was fun. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying at Wrest Point.

It's definitely a great place to stay when visiting Tasmania. Come here for a work conference and pleasure and was great. Rooms clean. The only complaint is that the mattress was a bit soft for our liking, but other than that, everything was great. Rooms very quiet. Even next to the lift, didn't hear a thing! Staff friendly and helpful. Great views from the rooms. Food was always great downstairs at the boardwalk bistro!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the hotel from 02/01/23 - 07/01/23 everything was marvellous. Michael who helped us with the booking was extremely obliging & helpful throughout our stay. From checking in, local advice, staff attitude , all was impeccable. We had the Harbour View Deluxe room. It was spacious with the best bed. There is an extensive pillow menu available to make your stay even more comfortable. The room was spotless for the 5 nights we stayed. All toiletries were topped every day without request. Nothing was too much trouble. The cleanliness of the hotel was so impressive. This was our second visit to the hotel & there will most definitely be a third.

From the outside the hotel clearly shows its age, or at least the era in which it was constructed. But inside it's been renovated and feels mostly modern and comfortable, save a few unchangeable architectural quirks. We enjoyed a sea view from an executive suite, and it really is a great view, even from the bed.

The facility is tremendous. Please bear in mind though that if you're a punter as I am (highly experienced) they are THE tightest poker machines and consistently, that I've ever encountered. The state is anti gambling. Even keno pays less here than anywhere in the country. Enjoy the scenery!

Amazing. The view was awesome from our room and everything was so so relaxing... the breakfast was great in the morning, the room was always tidied whenever we came back and everything was always so clean and tidy. Loved our stay, would definitely come again if I was to visit Hobart!!!!

Stayed in the deluxe king room with mountain view. As the title suggests there is a great view of the mountain. Only downside to view was the car park, but you could o my see if you walk to window and look down, but honestly that didn't really matter.

Room was nice vibe, TV was decent size, bathroom shower were nice, whole room had decently modern feel to it. Bed was literally the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on, probs going to try buy one of those mattresses now. Only downside to room was the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. If you need to no.2 either don't do it or do it before leaving lol.

Service was nice, although a bit slow to take our bags to the room at our check in time. Nice that their was a bar down stairs open quite late even during weekdays so we could get whiskey after we got home. There was some construction going on but it didn't phase me at all, was mostly just out the front. Power tools seemed to start around 7:30am but I was awake by then so didn't matter. Also given I was on level 6 it wasn't really that loud.

Overall a nice place to stay during Hobart visit, close to city central and decently priced.

Great hotel, great service I especially enjoy the pillow selection available. Bed was quite comfy.

With ongoing renovations, they are improving the product for their guests.

High quality suppliers are utilised to provide best possible service.

Water pressure in the shower could be slightly better however still was able to provide good shower.

Without exception all the staff we interacted with during our stay were friendly and professional. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Hobart. The room was excellent with a great view of the harbour. The food was reasonably priced and portion sizes were generous.

We had the tower executive suite overlooking Sandy bay and the city, fantastic from check-in to find there was was a cold bottle of sparkling wine and a happy anniversary card even though only mentioned when doing the reservation confirmation.
The room was very fresh and new, everything spotless, room was huge, bed was spot on, the sunrise over the derwent is pretty special, then the sailboats during the day into the evening city lights.
The buffet breakfast was fantastic on the Sunday, lots of staff, always keeping up fresh food, good choices and clean tables. The Monday was smaller but just as nice, a bit less choice.
You can see they are making an effort to renew an older place and it looks great the parts they have fixed up. Easy parking, you just have to walk through casino area to get to lifts to hotel rooms.
Great location, but you will need a car to get into city etc as it would be a 30min walk, there is buses etc, but great shops nearby for food and drinks if you want

Wrest Point was great. We arrived early and left our luggage with reception. Their system crashed so they had to put everything in manually which made their job hard. We checked in at 2pm and got a great room with stunning views! Casino was great too! Recommended this place if visiting Hobart.

Easily our best night in Tassie. From the minute we arrived John (I think) at the front desk was so awesome, helped us with an upgrade and the room was incredible. Beautiful inside and freshly updated. Staff at the casino were great and super friendly.

Our first time travelling to Hobart and we couldn't have started our holiday better! Shout out to Danny at the front desk who was incredibly professional, welcoming and accommodating! You made our holiday something to remember! We stayed in the tower, the room had a beautiful, incredibly clean and refurbished interior. Can't wait to come back again!

Really love this place. It has an older charm when you first walk into the lobby which actually really grows on you as the hotel feels so cozy, comfortable and welcoming everywhere. Buffet breakfast included which was enough but more healthy veg options would be nice! Our room was absolutely amazing, can't wait when we come back later. Small bits and bobs they include to make your stay feel like luxury such as a pillow menu, multiple rounds of housecleaning throughout the day, walk in wardrobe, bath and huge shower, ambient lighting, remote controlled blackout blinds and that magnificent harbour view. Multiple restaurants within the hotel, all serving delicious food. This hotel will hold a special place for me! Can't wait to come back later. They have a sauna here too ??? staff are all so friendly?

The only thing is in breakfast when that sun hits the water its literally blinding! I always find a shady spot but feel bad for people sitting at the window. I do think some remote controlled blinds would be good.

Exceptional Room Service, Exceptional meal at Revolving Restaurant. Staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We loved our stay including lovely views across the Bay.
We look forward to visiting Wrest Point again in the future...!!!

Went there for lunch meal was cold . I would not recommend. I think a pub meal would be better
