We went here for dinner on Saturday night, mainly because we didn't have a car, it was rainy and we were staying in the Sandstock Motor Inn directly across the road from the club.
We enjoyed a lovely meal in the bistro, an entree platter and the surf n turf schnitzel, it was very well priced and filling. The staff were very friendly and at 5.30, when it opened, there was no one else there so we served right away and our dinner came out quite fast.
There are many options for seating around the club, so after dinner we sat in the lounge area, enjoyed a drink and watched the rest of the football. Before venturing back out into the cold and rain we purchased two take away coffee and cake deals from the Cafe at the end of the bar area and retreated back to our motel.
We would not hesitate to come back again.

We went for 2 nights for dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful. Nice club staff were friendly.

I really appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff for helping my family get tickets for the Wiggles show. Thank you for everything and we look forward to our drive over / family time there.

Not sure where Mike ate when he was in Armidale but we have just had a delicious dinner at the Bowls club which is modern in decor, staff very friendly and food very good. Very busy with a mix of all generations!! Would recommend if staying in Armidale.

Ate at this club during our stay in Armidale. The evening we visited they had steak/schnitzel specials which were excellent value. Friendly, helpful staff.

This venue is super friendly, meals were a bit expensive BUT were massive so good value.

It's worth becoming a member so you can save on drinks and food.

Cheap signup at the reception and you can use their member screens to win extra points and other free drinks.

Staff are very accommodating and reliable.

Parking is very easy with plenty within the venue grounds.

You know the place is good by the amount of people coming in each day.

Where do I begin? I walked into the morgue of a bistro after being made to feel like an outsider at reception for not being from the area. Only to be greeted by a dining room that looked as though it was once gods waiting room.

Ordered our less than mediocre food and started to consume our cold frozen veggies and average schnitzel. I would have complained at this point if the manager was more interested in serving guests than grabbing himself a coke.

At least they have chicken salt I guess?
If you are looking for a cheap feed in a dingy bistro I would strongly recommend.

We're passing through Armidale and stopped in at the Bowling Club for a casual dinner tonight. We found the staff to be very pleasant, the Bistro food to be fine and reasonably priced, so we would happily recommend it if you're not looking for an expensive 'fine dining' experience.??'?

A large modern club with plenty of space and comfort. Yes, sadly the bistro prices are high but this is a sign of the times with high operating costs. Maybe a senior's menu with fewer options and smaller portions.

Our first time in Armidale BC. Friendly staff and great food and drinks at sensible prices. Service was well beyond expectations. We decided to become Social Members before leaving.

Very poor service today. Screaming loud music overhead was our first impression, though it was turned down when we asked. Restaurant service aloof. Meal time changed since our last visit but a total lack of courtesy left us feeling unwelcome. Meal not up to usual standard. We left without our usual cake and pot of tea which seemed just too hard to co-ordinate with our meal order. We have previously proudly introduced friends and family to the club but today we would have been embarrassed had we taken others.

Friendly, helpful staff. Meals served quickly with smiles. Meals were great, the salad was fresh and well presented. Well worth the visit

Lovely friendly atmosphere. We had a family reunion on AustraliaDay, with mostly elderly siblings and the food and service was great!

Food was enjoyable and serves were generous, and the bistro felt neat and tidy. However, the prices in the bistro were expensive and unaffordable. Staff at the entry were helpful, polite and very engaging.....bistro staff were helpful but less engaging and seemed more invested in the job of bringing food out.

Overall apart from the greedy prices it was an enjoyable experience??

A let down. While the service was lovely the food was well below par. The salmon over cooked, the chips cold. No where near the quality meals they use to serve

Had an awesome meal here was all very tasty. Had cheesy garlic bread, small size chicken snitzel with chips and salad. Small pavlova was yum Partner had lamb roast and bread and butter pudding which was big serving and good.

Good atmosphere, friendly n helpful staff, however, meals in dining room a bit of a let down, mediocre pub food at resto prices. Last meal l had there was red emperor fish on potatoes ( baked l think). Potatoes 3/4 cooked, fish cold, chewy n over cooked. Wasn't great

Ate here twice during our stay in Armidale. Both times staff were lovely, food and atmosphere were very pleasant also. Would recommend for a relaxed dinner.

This club just rocks..we pulled up in our little RV New Year's Eve and they let us stay in our van in the back car park. Then introduced us to the show ground.. So impressed with Armidale we went back and had another few days there on our return trip. Such a clean, pretty town with so much history and beautiful people.

Affordable price, great dinning atmosphere and hospitable service. Mango n strawberries Smoothies are $6.60 each, fresh made and taste great. Apple cidre is nice sour n bitter, also has really light but clear apple smell. They has decent luch meals. Lamb taste great, great size. Seaford basket is very fresh but it was expected to be more fish. Mushroom risotto is a bit disappointed by lack of flavor and salt. Besides, it didn't use risotto rice.
