Had the Mongolian lamb twice now, and at first, the metal dish it comes on makes the food too hot to even be able to taste the food. After it cools enough it is not to bad, but you can taste the msg. Everyone else loved their dishes.

We had a three course Christmas in July lunch with Kings Coaches. As a party of five, we all agreed the service and quantity of food was excellent. However, the room we were in was quite drab, and the table decorations old and tired. We felt the meal quality was just OK, and maybe the musician could have been a bit more discreet. Given "I Did it My Way" is one of the top funeral songs now, two of our group had to leave in tears.

From the moment my daughter and I walked in, we were met with smiles and amazing customer service! Every staff member we encountered were amazing - at reception, bar, bistro (even pokies).

Really excellent food. We had a great family get together of 22 people today. Being outside undercover from the rain and with the bonus of indoor play centre attached to outdoor dining area, we all enjoyed ourselves without annoying people inside who were enjoying quiet dining. There were 3 big groups outside and plenty of room for everyone.

Great family friendly club but the best thing is the Tables Restaurant where the food is just sublime. Their Asian selections would not be out of place at China Doll or the Malaya in Sydney, it is seriously that good. If Asian is not your thing however, they have you covered with a reasonable selection of European style meals. Highly recommended

Had lunch at the restaurant 'the table' today after it being recommended by a friend. The food was the best club feed I've had on the coast. I had the lamb cutlets and my ex wife had the lamb korma curry. Both meals were amazing - hers was particularly good.

Kids had plenty to do as well running on the green and playing in the playground.

Great place will be back for sure. Thank you to the team working today - service was great.

Went here a few nights ago on a Saturday. It was peak season so very busy and noisy! But... the service and food was great! The staff are lovely and helpful and accommodating. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Food service was super quick as well. Will definitely go back, maybe just on a quieter evening. Great place for families and kids. Plenty of parking and a great vibe.

An excellent club, great coffee and snacks. Fantastic Asian menu and usual club cuisine. Lovely atmosphere with views over the bowling greens.

Had dining tables near front door that let very cold wind in - place needs offset double doors...

We moved to other higher tables... very near a massive screen, with constant formal chat on-screen about Thugby League - with great retro pop videos on a tiny screen in bottom left.
Why not ignore Sky TV that no-one was looking at, and show fun pop/rock videos on the large screen?
Or cycling, as TdF is about to start for three weeks?
Or surfing videos, as Avoca is on the Beach?

$24 for pub fare. Sauce may hide basic meat and toasted rolls.

And when will we ever remember the Obesity Epidemic , remember that?...
And have salads as promoted standard, rather than many, many meals having compulsory chips?

Great space for kids. staff very helpful and friendly, great selection of food

First time my family of 5 have dined here since the renovations and we loved it. Food delicious and the new outdoor area is wonderful. Much better atmosphere than before.

Two weeks ago after waiting an hour for our meal we asked how much longer. They said it's on its way. 30 mins later asked again and they said we lost your order and it's being cooked now. We got our meal 2 hrs after ordering. We used to go every week but missed the next week as were dissatisfied. Went again tonight only to find one meal out of 4 had been left off the order. Started eating mine after everyone had finished. Our vegetables were cold and the meals are expensive and poor quality. We won't be back until something changes .

Food was average. 3 people at our table didn't get their meals until after the announcement that the kitchen was closing, 2 of them were young children! Staff were great and food/ service is usually very good so hopefully that night was a one off

I shouldn't be giving this place 5-stars and a glowing review as I might give up this hidden gem of a secret to the masses. They would travel from far and wide if they knew how amazing this place is.

Perfect for an early Sunday arvo dinner, amazing for kids and families bur get down early otherwise all the outdoor seating will be gone.

Food was so lovely, great range to choose from that we went back 3 times. The wait was a little long one night but the quality of the food made up for it. Closes quite early and towards the end of service the line can be long.

Terrible food. $43 steak scotch fillet that looks like a rump and over cooked. Wagyu steak over cooked and doesn't look like a piece of wagyu. Wouldn't come back.

Great friendly place for lunch or dinner. We are out of the area and drive just for the amazing food, the chicken wings especially but unfortunately the menu has changed and they are no longer available. Highly recommend stopping in.

Although the food served was somewhat satisfactory, the club itself is poorly organised with many people waiting 2hrs for basic meals. Staff were apologetic for the partially cold food and long waits. Meals were also delivered sporadically.

The food operation here is absolutely appalling. The lease holders operating the kitchen are completely out of their league during high volume.
There was a big cue so I expected a wait time but was not advised of any when I ordered.
After an hour I asked the person on the counter to check my docket and to let me how much longer it would take. He returned to say he checked the docket with the kitchen and it wouldn't be long. After another 30 minutes I checked again only to find out they didn't even have a docket, which concludes there was no check prior.
They checked my order against the reprinted docket only to get it all wrong on 3 dishes.
There was no one in control, poor kids running around stressed doing their best with no support from anyone with a management presence an the pass or till.
The club manager kindly returned my money in the end (thank you) this should of come from the food operator but they too busy putting out other fires created by them going missing in peak trade.
The food going was poorly presented looking rushed and slapped together. The cutlery was filthy. If you're not going to polish at least clean them properly.
Plenty of staff on, just no leadership or direction.
The renovation looks great. No point in spending all that money making the place look so good if you can't back it up with a decent product.

What a beautiful club, and the food is just so good. What ever you do go and visit, it's so much better than what I was expecting.

Great club. Had a meal there. The food is fantastic. Good variety and some great Asian meals to pick from. Better than most clubs around.

Have to order meal separately if you want to use club membership card. Each person gets a number. All the meals come out one at a time so by the end the first person has finished their meal while the last person ordered has just had their meal delivered. Terrible. Last night all but one meal delivered & when asked we were told the meal had been given to someone else!! Won't be going back.

Beautiful good value food. $32 for 200 gram eye fillet cooked perfectly as I ordered it was spot on. Good serving of chips with nice veg. Nice atmosphere and beer was cold and tasty. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

Joined up on arrival, the Club has a great local pick up/drop off door to door courtesy van saving you on cabfares.

Beer runs fresh and there was Reschs on tap, coupled with excellent and friendly service from the staff. Stand out feed was the Mongolian Beef but all other meals at the table looked tasty and we'll presented

The staff, especially security were extremely unfriendly- in fact, hostile. Especially for a family of 5 including a two month old baby. We were greeted by a security guard who barked at us for not having our vax status ready when we walked in the door.

The food and beverage staff were too busy flirting with each other and other customers - so when we went to order it seemed like a massive inconvenience for them.

The food was really tasty- the chefs must do a great job...

Not great if you have kids- no play equipment and the "claw machine" is in the middle of the TAB- so I couldn't take the kids to that without staff kicking us out... even though it's filled with toys!

A real shame-

Very good prices, around 6pm, for delightfully cold beers. Meals are a reasonable size, at good prices too, and were liked by all of us.

Recently moved to Avoca & joined the Avoca Bowling Club, very welcoming & friendly, great food, service & staff

The restaurant is the best food and the club has a great atmosphere. I love it. Ps...claypot curries are the best.

We spent an evening with about 20 friends (a bucks night). Staff were friendly and accommodating. Recommend for a quiet night out. Had live music as well.

Lovely club. Had a delicious lunch there. Gluten free and vegetarian options. Member's specials are great value. Membership allows entry to all affiliated clubs, so 8 clubs for one membership. Good value.

Very disappointed with the food and quite expensive. You could tell that the TBone was peer cooked vegetables over cooked the best thing was the chips and it came out so quick it took us longer to get a drink from the bar and there wasnt even a queue.Sorry to say.Staff was lovely.
