Service was excellent, staff friendly and place, although busy, was clean and tidy. Food was tasty, with good sized portion, but was luke warm (minus one star). Typical club prices - affordable, and good value for your money.

This is the classic RSL of 20 years ago. While many have renovated and upgraded their facilities this club remains true to the RSL of old.

That unfortunately does mean that the bistro food is old school and sub standard. My pie was lukewarm and the chips had that taste of frozen chips which you rarely come across these days.

Not a bad experience overall but I wouldn't go there for the food, enjoy a drink or two in the bar instead.

Dined as walk-in on a Friday night at 7pm.
Lived here 13yrs and had never tried this venue.
I was craving a good steak and we were not disappointed. I'm extremely fussy with steak. There wasn't a speck of fat to the whole piece of rump and was cooked 'well' as requested.
Great fresh salad & good side of chips.
10/0 for the meal.
Nice venue tastefully decorated. But greeted by lingering cigarette smoke from adjoining rooms as you make your way to the bistro.
Our toddler became a bit restless as understandably it's not the kind of venue they can wander around carefree.
Staff carrying plates or food, drinks etc it's too bigger trip hazard.
Will return. Perhaps for lunch instead.

Great little spot for a delicious lunch. Great menu and specials menu. I normally go on a Sunday and can't pass up the Roast Pork lunch, it's always delicious although a little disappointed last Sunday to not see any crackling on my plate. The in the restaurant and the bar areas are all friendly and welcoming. The club is relatively quiet and very relaxed and has a wonderful community feel.
There's is ample parking onsite which is a plus.

been here twice.. tried to give it another chance. steak is always overcooked. how is the steak in my picture rare???? told the wait staff to take it back to the kitchen and the chef told me that's exactly how it should be cooked??? and don't get me started on the "roast veggies" on the plate. they're clearly boiled, and they were revolting. mash was dry. average and disappointing experience.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere & extremely clean premises. Top good at great prices. Place to be.

This is a great club. What let's it down is the Gold Bar. Sitting in the Gold Bar, all you can smell is cigarette smoke. Unless someone brings in a curry from the bistro area. But this is only temporary relief from the stench.

I think they need two doors into the smoking balcony or ask the smokers to smoke in the car park.

A large and friendly RSL. Quality food at a reasonable price. We attended a Mother's Day event and the staff were most accommodating despite the mains being served "alternate drop".

I had such a good time last time I was there.. Kudos to Maya she was very kind and made our experience even better at the restaurant!

Rump steak was phenomenal! It was cooked to perfection, they gave loads of tasty mushroom sauce, the mash was creamy and worked well with the steak. Couldn't have asked for more! Thanks guys.

Some of the worst food ever tasted. Had the Chicken Schnitzel and was completely dry and chewy. Wasn't cooked properly. Do not recommend !!!!

Love the club but unfortunately the bistro special tonight was inedible. Cold and overcooked pork knuckle. So disappointing for me and my friend who ordered the same. We complained to the wait staff but doubt if the message got through to the kitchen. A shame as we both enjoy eating here regularly.

Ribs were grosse, straight out the pressure cooker and pretty sure the meat was off. Salads aren't dressed, just topped with a balsamic drizzle glaze, impossible to mix it through all the salad ingredients in the bowl provided. Parmy's, chips and the Barra are ??'?

I believe that reviews not only help the people who are coming but also help establishment fix things that could be better.

The ordering process at the bistro took far too long when there was only a handful of people in the club at 12 o'clock.

The food also took forever to come out and was a bulk bought Chicken schnitzel which would not have taken as long as it did to plate up.

My mum ordered the seniors fish which cost $15 as we are not members and came with either chips or salad not both.

The children's meal look bigger - but it is a lovely looking club the staff were lovely and perhaps the person taking the order was new but in that case she should've been supervised that there wasn't a big delay in ordering.

Attended a special dinner in the Wine Room. . Probably the best 5 course menu I have ever had. Every course was faultless. Will be back to try the a la carte. Staff were very proud to serve the dishes.

Good medium sized RSL - more of a focus on food and sociability, than gambling like some clubs (there are a fair amount of poker machines but they are kept separate). There is a bistro, with a mix of standard bistro favourites and some "nicer" meals and twists on favourites. There is also a Mexican themed food outlet, a cafe, and a nice restaurant upstairs. Sports bar has a decent range of beers (mainly big name beers, local and imported). Overall a good experience, and a good local club. Appears to not be dog friendly, which is a shame because we'd love to bring our puppy with us.

Their roast pork n cheese cake are the must try!
Staffs are nice. Not overcrowded so we're able to physical distance. Clean. Well done!!!

the only downside is the overcooked vegs. Is it possible to cook less so theyre still crunchy?

Excellent club, prefer the coffee shop/cafe to the main resteraunt. Great lunch selection and deserts. Well priced. Older clientele and nice staff.

I'm a member of this club now.
I ordered a spicy chicken noodle dish while having lunch with two girl friends. But I wasn't very impressed with the mushrooms in my meal. They were black colour, sliced, but I could not even bite them in half with my teeth! What were they? Made of leather I think, they tasted like plastic, chemical flavours yukky. So I picked them all out. Also the noodles were too thick.
Why don't they try cooking thinner noodles?
Instead of those, try flat rice noodles or rice vermicelli noodles then it might be better, and without those revolting black mushrooms. I will never order that meal again!
One of my friends, her roast pork meal was stone cold as soon as she received it.
I thought a Roast Pork and vegetables was supposed to be a Hot Meal?
They need to check the hotness of the meals they're serving. Do they have a microwave oven, maybe they could zap it in that for a minute?

Situated inside a veterans club, you will find a restaurant dled with ambience staffing and aenu that takes you somewhere else. It's respectful and delisous filled with treats we all look too. Staff are well trurms out, skilled and friendly. The dining room is comfy and respectful. uus he combination of the sub branch with memorial club is respectful.

Great place to for a drink or a bite to eat. Spacious and plenty of seating available too. Recommend this RSL. It's also clean and the staff are pleasant

Great service and the food and drinks are a great price. At the moment they have take out cocktails and burgers, both are delicious. Burger come with a packet of Red Rock Deli potato chips.
On a Sunday there is the Seaforth Farmer's market which has great produce and loads of tasty foods to tempt!

It's a great local veterans club. The combination of the sub branch with memorial club is respectful. Their ANZAC day events were respectful and well attended. Bar prices are reasonable and menus great. The wine bar up stairs is best, with plenty of regular events.

Had the set menu for 15 people. Great food, something different. But it was the staff who made the night special! Attentive, patient, efficient and friendly. What an asset to the club. Thank you, we all enjoyed the night xx

Staff were great but the regulars were so unfriendly, family of 5 one being a sleeping baby.....you can't sit here its members only so went to the other side of the room..... can't sit here I want this area.....went to the bar & one of the regulars walked right past me & proceeded to order...... seriously??? Most unfriendly RSL Club I have ever been to which is not what an RSL club is known for being.

Reliable Aussie club standard food in the Bistro ... I sometimes like to have the roast pork dinner which I wouldn't normally make at home ... sometimes the meat is better than other times ... , but it's a good size helping with lots of roast veggies. Usually find something at the dessert counter too ... add ice cream as the cakes maybe a bit dry.

The bistro here is definitely not your average RSL bistro. We ordered the 1) pork roast - decent portion size, well cooked, plenty of gravy, and crunchy crackling 2) Tassie salmon - crispy skin, very nicely cooked, and really nice sides. The decor is quite modern, well lit and very comfortable. The service is excellent. Love the condiments bar - huge variety and the horseradish sauce was on point!
