First time visit to the Bistro.... delightful staff ... great service even though the room was crowded the meal was quickly served and a view of the course added to the enjoyment. Oh and the meals were excellent! Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful venue, staff very helpful and friendly.
Menu was fantastic ( except was really looking forward to some oysters for entree ) Meals were perfection could not have asked for a better experience, we dined there two nights in a row, and would have more if we had more time here. But have to catch the ship back home to Tassie today. Do yourselves a favour and dine here if your in the area, not that we play golf but it looks like it's a fantastic golf course as well. ☺️

Dinner here twice in a fortnight. The meals have been of high quality with a good selection. The ambience involves muted lighting and sound. Spacing of tables is comfortable. Above all, the service is professional and delightful

Great course and it was in stunning nick when we spent two days playing there during the week. Quite a challenge even from the forward tees and is very strategic due to big bunkers and water hazards. A Thompson/Perret design and very playable for all. On the second time around, it got a lot easier and I managed to eagle the driveable par four 16th, which made the day a memorable one. We had perfect weather, the members we played with were very kind to us as visitors and the clubhouse and facilities are top class. Pro shop staff were helpful and gave good advice. Well worth a trip if you want to experience one of the best regional Victorian tracks.

Same great service, venue and experience

Well, what a fabulous experience this was. A large group of us had a meal at the Ballarat Golf Club Bistro at 1800 Sturt St, Alfredton. I found the service at this high volume bistro just outstanding. The servers were friendly, welcoming, and prompt and all of their tasks were carried out with a smile. I had the Crispy Beef Stir-fry with a side of garlic bread. The meal was just sensational. I was also very impressed the speed from order to delivery of our meals considering the number of people we had. It looks like you can dine inside or out. The view of the golf course through the large full-length windows from the bistro adds whole other level of luxe to the dining experience. Most enjoyable. Well done team!

I recently went here with my husband and had a lovely time. The meals were fantastic and there really wasn't much of a wait for food. The waiters were friendly and helpful. They greeted us with a smile upon entry and showed us to a table. The fact that we hadn't made a booking wasn't an issue. The waited made suggestions from the menu and also had a great knowledge of all the items when we enquired about some of them. We were seen out the door with a smile. Thank you for a fantastic experience from beginning to end. An absolute pleasure, nothing was too much trouble.

Heartbeat Ballarat had a fabulous Christmas in July celebration at Ballarat Golf Club Bistro on Sunday July 30th. Thirty-seven were welcomed, fed, and farewelled. The staff and food were all excellent. Sunday Carvery was delicious, generous, and very affordable. Our group of thirty-seven were 100% happy. Well done Ballarat Golf Club Bistro. We are planning a repeat visit in September to celebrate members birthdays.

Yesterday we attended your bistro with our senior out and about group, there were 8 of us in total. Can I just say your staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even with a few strange requests from our group. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. It was a busy day in the bistro and all your staff still had smiles on their faces. So please pass onto your staff how amazing they are.

This is one of my favourite place to take the wife and family to eat, meal are always on par. Our last visit was for a birthday meal and it was the best so far. Will be back.

Ballarat Golf Club, This is the 5th time I have visited, and I can not recommend this place highly enough, if you are on holidays and looking for a game of golf.

It was an easy phone call to make a booking, then the resting history.

This golf course is a tight treelined course, with couch fairways and bent and poa greens. It is challenging course, yet at same time if you are on fairways off the tee, rewards of a birdie opportunity is on the cards.

The par 3 holes are of good length which requires a good strike on the ball. The bunkers are strategically placed on the course, then you have the thick fescue rough and also protects the greens too.

Ther driving range has undercover hitting bays and the Chipping greens are also in very good condition. Also nice sized putting green.

The proshop is well stocked from golf attire to drinks and pies.

The facilities are fantastic, from the change rooms to restaurants are very clean. You can order anything from coffee to meals from the bistro.

I met David, Travis and Steve who were working in the proshop on the weekend that I played. The guys were awesome and very welcoming. It was great to chat with them, but they were really good in trying to fit me into the competition field, and with some great people. This made it a very nice experience as I have met great members and made new friends.

Come try and see how much of a challenge this beautiful course is. You will love this course like I do.

Went last night for my birthday celebration dinner. When I got there, the waitresses was very polite. The atmosphere was very inviting. The food was 5 star quality and very affordable. Even the drinks were great. Would consider going back again and again. Very well done

Amazing location, great views. Ample room to move and great seating. Very friendly staff and great service. It's clean and tidy. Plenty of parking too. The menu is simple, great choices. Every plate that passed the table looked delicious. I'd highly recommend the ribs.

Highly recommended. Much improved menu. Steak was amazing. Very friendly and helpful waiting staff will definitely become regulars.

A great experience. My husband and I both had the garlic prawns with rice which was delicious. Luckily we had a table near the window which gave us a fabulous view if the golf course. The staff were friendly and helpful.
