We recently chose Bankstown Sports Bowls to hold a small wake in their Bistro after my fathers funeral.
We rang around to several other clubs in the area however we quickly settled on this venue as our number 1 choice after speaking with Rocky the head chef in the restaurant and we are sure glad we did.

The management, the kitchen staff and the bar staff at BSBC made our family and friends feel more than welcome and accommodated our needs perfectly. Rocky was a pleasure to deal with in organising the food and beverages and nothing was a hassle for him and his team. The food was brilliant and perfect for our guests.

We wouldn't hesitate to reccomend the team at Bankstown Sports Bowling Club for any similar events, the entire staff made us feel welcomed and showed great support to us and our family and friends through this tough period.

I have the best experience dining at the bistro operated by rocky. However I wanted to try my luck at the pokies, unfortunately I feel the club have no policy controlling some idiots that playing 5 machine at one time without taking his winning out and lead to misunderstanding and confusion to new patron that playing the machine. Where the RESERVES SIGN???. When a patron win any amount of money in the poker machine, he/she should take his/ her a) wining out the machines, b) should stay near the machine c) should put a reservation sign..whoever on duty working in the gambling area should know their job. I was harassed by this this men that playing 5 machine at one time and the staffs working their think that this men has the right to do that. Unfortunately bankstown bowling club, pls address this problem asap.

I had a great experience tonight when visiting the Bankstown Bowling Club for the first time ever. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff were really friendly. We'll definitely be revisiting now we have found this gem of a venue.

Rocky is great providing new food options with delicious menu and food specials are fantastic Tuesday to Fridays and a great value lunch menu.

Bistro has changed hands. Everyone got sick from the food.

Had lunch at newly opened Restaurant 'Club Grill' , myself & my family really enjoyed our meals , good sized portions & very tasty . Excellent & friendly service & will definitely be back, thanks Rocky ??'?

We had a work function here. The lunch was yum. We played lawn bowls and one of the locals gave us all a quick lesson and assisted us with rules and how to play correctly throughout our game. They have some nice lounge chairs outside. Friendly staff. If I lived closer I would visit here more often.

Always feel welcomed when in this venue. Staff and management goes above and beyond for their patrons. As a person that has run hospitality venues for around 10 years, this is how you run a venue. Great schnitzels, good beers, good times.

The bar here, is the worst. There is no variety. The wine list is so bad I don't even want to come back. The staff behind the bar are rude and couldn't care less. I have asked a number of times over the past 6 months if they were going to redo the wine list, always yes but today was tuff, that's it. And now I can't even eat my food at trivia. Where is the fun in that. Seems like the bar staff don't want to work. Time for a staff reshuffle! The only good this about this club is the Grill Central Asian influence food. amazing good.

Improved western food responded to some criticism

A pretty basic club that is obviously aimed at bowls, pokies and the restaurant (which looks good). The staff were welcoming and friendly. It was very quiet when I was there, so probably need to aim for a trivia night or a competition day to see the place busy.

We are now reasonably frequent visitors to this club, mainly for the bistro.
The atmosphere in the club is always cheerful and the staff are friendly.
The bistro is awesome, staff in the bistro are fantastic, the food is always great and so reasonably priced.

Nice little club with a great bistro. Staff are lovely, and food is really good and reasonably priced. Steak is always good, cheesy garlic bread is simple and tasty, and the crispy skin chicken with tomato rice is a must try.There's one man at the bar who makes the best lemon lime and bitters I've had in a very long time, and it's always fun to have a nice meal and a refreshing drink while watching the bowls.

The new malaysian Chinese bistro which just opened there is amazing! Highly recommended the Hainan chicken rice (it is not on their menu but they are happy to make it if you request!). Succulent chicken, and fluffy rice with a remarkable flavour. If you've tried tamasek in parramatta, the taste is absolutely on par.

The Chinese dishes, the friend rice, Mongolian beef and honey prawns are also worth the order.

Very delightful little find. I'm not into bowels, the green wasn't so green and cover options for players are limited. However, the selection of drink at the bar is impressive, while the bistro offered up the best grilled salmon meal I've had in ages, with grilled vegetables for 25 dollars. Very delicious. Worth the visit.
