Went to Kicken-in for lunch.
Food was great only problem was that asked for sauce on the side with the martini prawn glass and they poured all the sauce on top.

My family and I always visit this restaurant. One time, it's better one time, not so good. But we went this Friday and were shocked. All the food was extremely umfresh. The seafood was so old, I mean, those poor crabs must have been in the freezer since..... and the meat inside was black and bitter.
The cold cooked prawns were so hard to peel and the meat was dry.
The hot meats seem to be from last week, not mentioning the Asian ducks and chickens. Used to be tasty, but now they are over and over frozen and then cooked.
But the fresh cooked fish like salmon, mackerel was nice, fresher than anything else.
So please keep on bringing the fresh fish and fried fish wings.😊
P.S. it's absolutely hilarious how they charge $4 for a paper cup if you want a drink.

The star buffet was a great dining experience. A wide variety of all you can eat food, all fresh ingredients and made with delicious flavours. Nothing disappointed literally every single food served was delicious and flavoursome. Fish, chicken, beef, and roasts. Sweets, desserts, and even the sushi were all great options to enjoy! Can't wait to go again.

I had dinner at star buffet, mine was free as it was my birthday, but my husband had to pay 33$. Food is of good quality, we are vegetarian so could not eat much as there were few options. The food and dessert was good. Those eating meat can really enjoy.

I would like to share a great experience I had on Wednesday, 27 March (around 6pm) with your staff member, James, who works at the front desk reception. His positive 'can-do' attitude left a lasting impression on me. Coming from an ex-Customer Service Manager, I can confidently say that James embodies all the qualities that make for exceptional customer service.

James greeted me with a warm smile, engaged in meaningful conversation, offered assistance promptly, and effectively highlighted what Bankstown RSL has to offer. His dedication to providing an excellent customer experience is commendable.

However, I did not have the same positive experience with a female colleague working at the door. Her abrupt manner and rudeness towards customers, even when it wasn't busy, were disappointing. Such behavior could deter potential patrons from entering the club.

I want to applaud James for his outstanding work ethic and his professionalism and demeanor serve as a valuable example for other staff members to mirror.

We love Bankstown Rsl club for me and my family, friends is the best place to go to or visit to eat lunch, you just select , like the seafood restaurant, named kickininn,and the star buffet. After that we visit the other side where the poker machine is my friends love it.the like to play, but the never win, l think they love the sound of the machine.

Bring your photo ID or passport for overseas to register an RSL member. With this membership, you may bring your friends in with you and free meals for you on your birthday.

The membership fee is $10/ year or $25 for 25 years. It's a new membership lifetime.
Buffet costs $24/pp on weekdays.

Parking is free as long as you can find an under RSL's building spot. There's plenty spot for paking.

All you can eat buffet with variations of dishes are available.
From heavy meals to light meals, sushi, soup, fruits, dessert, cake, ice cream, tea, coffee, and many more.

Bookings is not essential. But big groups are essential to provide us the same sitting tables.

Overall, this RSL is the best to choose for buffet.

I went there with all my family to celebrate my permanent residency in Australia. We chose "Saigon district " to have Vietnamese food.
The food is very tasty. Staff all wearing Vietnamese traditional clothes. I have feelings that was in Vietnam.
At around 8:30pm, they turned music very loudly and most of people from the floor started dancing. Such a nice experience.

I recently dined at Bankstown Star Buffet, located within Bankstown RSL, which is conveniently just a short walk from the train station. Parking options, including free onsite parking and across the road, make it accessible.

However, I must admit that the staff left much to be desired in terms of friendliness. They seemed more preoccupied with enforcing rules than providing basic customer service. The queues to enter can get quite lengthy, so booking ahead is advisable.

On the bright side, the buffet offers a wide array of cuisines, ranging from Asian to Italian to eastern European. The variety extends to fruits and desserts, including the delightful addition of fairy floss. The seating arrangements are average, not designed for extended comfort.

My personal favorites were the roast beef and ham. It's worth noting that soft drinks and frozen drinks come at an extra cost, while tea and coffee are included in the price. Overall, Bankstown Star Buffet provides good value for money and is a suitable place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.

Big variety of food, but a little pricey. Need better desserts.

Band below was a nice touch to dining and having entertainment!

Wednesday is a great night to attend as it's not as busy as the weekends where you have to book for a 2hr seating only. The variety of food was good, I believe there are more seafood options on the weekends. Mains were the usual, except the carvery had only Ham & Roast Beef. Dessert is sometimes a hit & miss.. they had mini custard tarts that was just divine. Warm & not too sweet. Cashier person was grumpy, but the wait staff were nice, cleared up the tables pretty quick and had a minute to chat with them. Overall, it's not the Epicurean, but you get what you pay for. We didn't mind it at all. Would we come back - absolutely. Maybe next time we can try and get a smile from the cashier ?

Food is better than it was before & a good variety. But I don't think menu has changed over the last 2 years.

Long queue wait and average food offerings. Salads were good with prawns and mussells. Chinese sweet sour and mongolian was good. Soups very good. Bread rolls nice but the spread is awful. Lurpak with rapeseed just isn't butter. The chocolate pudding along with the blueberry cheescake were lovely Was growded early but cleared a little later after opening. Probably leave an hour later next time. Parking is convenient

Went to the star buffet with kids, it's reasonably priced, but food has a definate Asian vibe. The seafood was limited and prawns were tasteless, as was the pavlova and dessert selection. Chocolate fountain, slushies, nuggets and ice cream for the win with the kids though.

I had an enjoyable experience in the Star Buffet. Great variety of food and desserts with fresh fruits as well.

Some of the food I tried were cold which was unpleasant, but the food cycles through often enough.

Plenty of seafood to choose from, but I would personally recommend their Garlic Prawn which was delicious!

Queues tend to get long, even though I arrived 20 minutes after it had opened. If you intend to get in early, lining up well before 5 pm would be wise.

There are a variety of places to park outside of the RSL which is free, so I recommend parking there and walk across the street to the RSL Club.

Nice selection of food . My only thing would be tell them to put some flavour into there roast meat . It was very bland . Other then that nice food

Have been here a few different times. They have free car parking across the street and about a 2 minute walk which helps. The venue is clean and staff are very friendly. You do need a membership to enter but is it quite cheap and you can signup on the spot. I have eaten at the kickin In restaurant inside. Service was fantastic and they gave my kids balloons and free deserts. Highly recommended!

Went for a function. A good selection of food available. The room did lack a permanent bar. However, the staff operated bar carts and were very efficient. Great customer service from them all.

The buffet pricing is okay however the food quality is not good at all. I used to come here as a kid all the time but over time it seems like everything tastes bland or dry. I really tried everything there was and not a single thing stood out (that I wanted seconds for).

Very affordable buffet in Bankstown with a number of Asian dishes options on the menu. Unfortunately food is pretty average nothing exceptional, I would say I got what I paid for, so no hard feelings. Service is really poor, at 2:00 PM buffet closes and you will get an army of waitress taking the plates of your hands literally. I was part pf a booking with more than six families, since we were kicked out of the buffer we went downstairs for a drink, the place was empty. After a few minute's kicked out of area near bar area where kids where playing
Absolutely terrible

Security guard who went by the name P**** very clearly racially profiling my family prior going into dinner. During sign in at the door, talks to us in a condescending manner and repeatedly uses harsh and rude body language such as stepping close to my face and yelling "ID from THIS country" to a non English speaking background family member

Food is of horrible quality, maybe been left outside for a long time due to low volume of customers. Cantonese BBQ is tough to chew on. Seasoning of various dishes is just off. I guess the place is hit hard by COVID and has to resort to using incompetent chefs. Definitely not worth the $30.8 paid.

Good concept of buffet. However food was ok. Was missing woow factor. Spacious place.

It's good place to have food and entertainment together. I love this star buffet or kickin for lunch or dinner. We enjoyed there and only crowed sign in places.

First timer, reasonable prices for a Sunday buffet birthday celebration.

Good service, thought the all you can eat would be more quality. Probably won't go back for awhile. Staff could have been more friendly at the RSL service desk at front.

We went to all you can eat yesterday for lunch and in my fried rice I had a fried beetle. I took my plate up to the front desk she palmed me off to the manager he just said do you want new fried rice no thank you and didn't even apologies or anything. Disappointed!!

Awesome place for any gatherings. BEAUTIFUL AND WONDERFUL. I only been downstairs. I did not go upstairs. I'm sure IT will be appreciate as well.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Clean environment and gives off an outgoing vibe. If you're visiting in the evenings especially on the weekends make sure you leave some time to sign as it can be a little frantic when it's busy. Live music is great, good variety of restaurants, definitely need to avoid going there when it's busy. Also best to book of you're visiting when it's busy.

Star buffet is always what it is and well if there was a star rating just for this franchise alone this would score the worst so far..... very small choice of food just your typical chips, nuggets, spring rolls good stuff for the kids..... the roast was very bland and the poor guy had to carve with a knife, give the man am electric knife you are a buffet not a teppanyaki restaurant. The staff were not attentive at all and didn't look like they wanted to be there. I do not recommend this place at all well none of the star buffets for that matter. It's worse than you remember

Great place with great food. Restaurants and bars and service are good. The all you can eat buffet is great value for the hungry family only down fall is the need more signage for the main car park.
