We visited the Bermagui country club twice for meals while holidaying in the area and both times our meals were great pub meals!
Thursday was $15 parma night. The parma meal was huge including chips and salad. I had the roasted pumpkin salad which was very tasty and with lots of delicious ingredients. Nobody in the bistro, including us had to wait anymore than 20 minutes for meals.
Happy hour is 5 nights a week with $5 schooners during that time.
We also joined in the Trivia night which was a bit of fun with a small group of mainly locals.
Bistro staff were very friendly but sadly some bar and reception staff could have been a lot more welcoming and friendly.

I'm a local who goes to the club regularly. I'm giving 5 stars for the new menu and the specials listed at The Terrace restaurant tonight.

The food had been a bit ordinary in recent times, but it looks like they've got it together again. I had the Moroccan chicken and it was to die for! Perfectly cooked and so tasty. �'�

Good value for money too.

Super friendly staff, lovely environment and great photos of the local area up on the walls was lovely to look at! Only reason for a 4 instead of 5 star review is because the Parma was quite overcooked/burnt around the edges and the nachos our friends ordered didn't come with cheese, it was a cheese sauce lightly squirted over it.

Booked for 6pm ordered by 6.30. Party of 24. Was told they won't start serving meals till everyone on the table had ordered. 1 person on one table didn't get their meal. My son spoke to a waitress who said he was abusive so she got manager. Finally got meal and $50 drink voucher.

Table 2 asked at 8.15pm where our meals were to be told by one very rude waitress to be patient. ( that's wearing thin by now) didn't get our meals till 8.30.

Then one meal was wrong and was told it would take another half an hour to cook a medium rare steak. Overall experience was disappointing as I took 24 friends and family from 3 states to join me for my Wedding. Needless to say none of us will be back and it did put a dampener on my weekend Wedding.

Would rate the food 3.5 out of 5. Lift your game BGC as my recommendation would be stay away and go somewhere else.

Great place for a beer. Craft beers on tap, good reasonably priced meals.

I had read a review which indicated service could be slow at busy periods. It didn't appear to be that busy when my group of 3 went there recently, but nevertheless we waited a ridiculous length of time to get even the most basic of garlic bread starters, and that was after I asked one of the staff what was going on.

Mains came 15 minutes later, a full hour after we had ordered. Looking around it was clear just about everyone else had the same experience.

The food itself I would rate a 3.5 from 5.

The staff, at least one not the friendliest. Needless to say we won't be rushing back. But BGC, do yourselves a favour, up your game.

The lovely girls that seated us and took our order was the ONLY positive experience to take away from our dining experience. Waited an hour for our food..I use the word food loosely because it was more like rubber and cardboard food my grandkids use in their play kitchen. Absolutely awful and way overpriced for what you receive. A microwave meal would be more tasty!

Poor job .Cajun chicken nachos was probably made in 1900. Couldn't eat it .bitterly disappointed

Recently spent 9 nights in Bermi, we had 5 meals at the club, all meals were wonderful, the many different daily specials kept us coming back! All the staff were very friendly & welcoming (thanks to Jody for sending me the local fishing spots map)

Demanded to copy full photo ID ... just to join a community group meeting! What do they do with all that ID info? How do they protect it? And why do they need it? Stay away if you've been hacked enough and/or had it with front desk bullies.

What a surprise, Bermi Country Club turned out to be. Bermagui has many excellent food destinations and in that group is the Bermagui Country Club we were part of a much larger group and without exception we were pleasantly surprised at the standard of cuisine provided. Well done and thanks.

Rude staff member turned us away when we had a booking. Usually a lovely place to eat though.

For an older club, it is clean. The team was very welcoming and friendly.
Hubby and I had lunch here, and would recommend it, and look forward to going again.

Food and service was exceptional. There were 7 of us and we received our food in 25 minutes. All meals were delicious and presentation was great. Portions were also a good size. The staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had and even stopped to have a quick chat with us making our whole dining experience much more memorable. Would definitely return here if we came back to Bermagui!

Had a 6.30 booking. Ordered food prior to 7pm. Did not get food until after 9pm. Very disappointing from a seasonal tourist club. Food was not hot. Would recommend getting take away from literally anywhere else in town.

The restaurant was very busy but the staff were lovely. Three of us had the scotch fillet steak, which was $45. Though it was tasty, 80% OF EACH ONE was gristle and inedible. This is clearly a supply issue, and this feedback needs to go to the head chef, for this reason I chose not to address this with the staff.

It was great to catch up with friends, and my meal was delicious I recommend it .
Winning a meat tray was a bonus .

Super friendly welcome by each staff member. Real sense of care very evident for regular customers as well as visitors. Tasty food and good size.

Decent facilities, although some additional directional signage to different facilities would improve things. For example, only having toilet signs on the door, and then leaving the doors open so you have to walk into the space before finding out if it is female or male is such poor design. So stick an extra sign above the door and that will be a great improvement!

Attended the country club for dinner on Easter Monday , the restaurant was short of staff due to members calling in sick, however we were served by a wonderful staff member by the name of Carly, which in turn was also dishing out the meals, cleaning tables aswell as taking the orders and all with a great smile. Food came out pretty quickly and was very enjoyable. Thumbs up from myself and our family. Keep up the great work and great smile Carly.

I go quite often for lunch and the food is reasonably good. The premises are very spacious which I appreciated while avoiding social contact. The service is friendly. However while I always stick to menu specials, even there the prices are climbing. Even though the clientele was quite sparse as it often is, the food took a long time to appear on my last visit. They may be in difficulties with respect to staff and with cash flow, as a number of places are, post-COVID. However if prices keep going up I will turn elsewhere, as really my budget is $14-$22 for a "non-special" lunch. I choke at $26-$36 for a lunch dish. Not too many places in Bermagui to turn to though, as "tourist prices" rule, with holiday-makers apparently not caring too much what they pay.

Always good to go to. Staff are friendly and the food in the restaurant is very good. Have been a member for 15 years now and always enjoy a drink in the main lounge

Wow, is my go to comment !! The service is the friendliest, the food....well omg this Chef can cook a steak like nothing I've ever had before. It was to die for....absolute perfection.So pleased to have chosen to go this way for a change and have the privilege of going to this Club on our way to Melbourne. Thank you

Great golf course. Rural - but in a great way. Loved it. Good variety of holes. Lots of long holes and very well maintained.

The atmosphere is drawn from the 70s, and not the fun part of the 70s... Food is deep fried, beer is watery. This place is the antonym of "fun". On the bright side, it has free shuttles to the local retirement villages, imagine the late night parties there.

Lovely people. Good atmosphere. Easy to find. Had fresh fish grilled with steamed vegetables - small meal ordered but meal was quite large as it filled the plate! Reasonably priced and freshly cooked.

Had dinner at the Bermagui Country Club last night and played Ambrose on the back 9 today. Lovely course, friendly people and great location (walking distance from our accommodation). Highly recommend a visit!
