I ordered two of the kids meals at 6:41pm. I have waited until 7:31 pm until the food came out. The restaurant was not busy. They had a group of 8 that was already served and a couple.
I asked a staff member at 7:02pm politely how much longer I would be waiting. The staff member said they will ask the kitchen and I never got an update.
At 7:31pm Rebecca (a staff member) brought out the food. She apologised for the wait but did not realise it was 50 minutes until I told her. Initially she offered a bowl of chips as compensation. I spoke to Austin who upon negotiating I recieved a $10 (full) refund and a meal voucher for 1 which I was happy with.
However the reason for the 2 star review is the inital compensation offer for the 50 minute long wait. Plus my pizza was chewy and dry. Not inedible but enough for me to be even more unhappy. I also had to go up to the counter to ask for ice cream and soft drinks as they were not given because they won't give a takeaway soft drink or ice cream. The ice cream is understandable however the soft drink is not. There should be a solution for that. If they are not going to include ice cream on takeaway it needs to be mentioned to customers and a discount provided or it needs to be included as it says specifically it comes with ice cream, soft drink and an activity book. Which I, and another customer did not recieve.
Not affecting the review but it is important to note the carpet near the bar is sticky. (As it is with any venue that has carpet near a bar). There was dog poop outside near the entrance both on entry and exit, (which is not the venues fault). Plus tables from outside were not cleared the whole time I was in there. It is also understandable that they do not have a reception person as it is a smaller rsl. However, that would be appreciated.
