First time we have had an echidna wander into our campsite to say hello. I think he was after any ants we had hanging around. Had a bit of a forage and he was off again. Susie was very excited but he didn't seem bothered by us at all.
Then we went for a ride/walk to the RSL club and stopped by some attractions. Susie even got a lift home in the courtesy bus, to save the 2km walk home.
Really nice RSL club with friendly staff and locals but no pool table, so we played darts instead.
Really nice campsite just out of town on the river with a toilet, boat ramp, plenty of room to camp and exercise machines.
We visited the fish traps that were built by the lands traditional owners around 40,000 years ago and are the oldest man made structures in the world.
Off towards the Lightning Ridge opal field's today. Another bucket list item to cross off. Got some inside information from the locals at the RSL club about the best gravel roads to take from Brewarrina. More adventure to come.
