Just a classic!!! I mean if you are in the area and need some dinner it is just perfect!!! Okay the food is not exceptional but after a week camping anyone will love it, the chinese is a blast and there is a pool table which is lots of fun, literally across the road from the beach.

I'll start with the positive, the staff were really friendly, the waiting time for our takeaway was very fast and the club was typical of a bowling club, clean and tidy.
I read all the reviews prior to buying takeaway and chose to ignore the bad reviews, hoping they were just hard to please customers.
Sadly my experience wasn't good, I'm not going to go into specifics but I will never be buying Chinese food from here again.

Loved this little haven. Great atmosphere very good selection of drinks for adults and children very family friendly barefoot bowls can be arranged. Sensational Chinese food on their menu.. A must try for the whole family. Very reasonable pricing all round.

Review is for the Chinese restaurant, I might add the bar at the bowlo is great, with friendly staff and a good choice of drinks. The Chinese restaurant itself is disappointing, we have been here before, on the previous occasion the food was very mediocre, but it was also fairly cheap, so you can't really complain, as you get what you pay for. On our recent visit however, prices are now up around the $20 mark for a main dish. The quality is now below average, the fried rice appears to have come out of a packet, the mixed platter starters are definitely frozen out of a packet, not too dissimilar to what you would get from the frozen section of Aldi. I wouldn't mind so much if it was priced accordingly, but at almost $70 for a frozen starter, two below average mains, and rice out of a packet, we won't be back.

Oh my goodness..... that was not good. I had the trio of entrees, it was so bad.... I couldn't eat any of it. Hubby enjoyed his chicken satay. We asked for some chili sauce, we got frozen chili pieces. Service wasn't very friendly either, was to scared to ask for anything.

Good price, tasty food and large portions. Highly recommend when it's too windy to cook over your bbq at the campground. We had the spring rolls, black bean beef, chicken and cashew nut and fried rice. Spot on! Very glad we came here.

We are so pleased we ignored the bad reviews on this site. Food was delivered promptly and was fresh, tasty and absolutely delicious. We had garlic prawns with extra vegetables and steamed rice. Huge serves so bought a takeaway container to enjoy the remainder of our meal tomorrow. Better than good experience on a Friday night at the very busy Bowls Club with a happy vibe. Just need to win the meat tray now to top the night off.

Brooms Head is a gem of a place.
Don't go for $12 lunch it's horrific.
The old adage applies, "You get what you pay for," and it was served up by a sour looking waitperson/ owner. You might have more joy if you order from the menu!

Derek and Nathan are legends, exceptional hospitality. Know exactly how to treat customers, and the food is the best Chinese I've eaten and I'm from Sydney.

We ate a delicious dinner at this quaint country bowlo by the magnificent beach at Brooms Head and the service was excellent, the staff were fun and friendly. The meals, once ordered, were delivered to the table in a timely manner by helpful and friendly staff who were there when needed to clear the plates. Drinks and dinner were exceptional value. The glasses of wine we ordered were full to the brim. (The photo with 2 glasses of wine has sips missing). The sesame prawn toast was so yummy I forgot to photograph it. On top of all that, we won a meat tray!!! (Friday night has raffles)
Great value for money in a lovely old-fashioned venue. You can even sit outside if you want to.
If you want city slick and prices, go back to Sydney ?????
When we rang up to book a table, they told us to bring ID; there was a sign at the door about ID. It's the law that you have to sign in to any club you go to and people generally know this fact, so some of you should stop being mean to this place with nasty reviews and get angry with yourselves if you didn't bring ID... Do you really expect them to break the law and let you in?

I recently spent the weekend in Brooms Head with friends. We ate at the club on Sat night. The worst meal ever. Sent the food back and was refunded.

Had Chinese for dinner, there were kids options like fish and chips or nuggets as well. Very quick walk from the caravan park.

! Do not eat here ! We ordered online reservations but told us we need ID after we get there. The parents were clearly over 18. Front office lady was rude and was agressive. Do not go to the store it's a waste of money and time. So yummy, more like So yucky!

We had an awesome afternoon of bare foot bowls, great company, fun and laughs followed by chineese in the bowls club restaurant recently, highly recommend if you're in Brooms ! $5 ea for the adults to play lawn bowls and only $70 for dinner for 4 people. You can't go wrong !!

Chinese was well below average . Then when asking for takeaway containers ,was charged 50 cents for each one we wanted . Have NEVER had this happen anywhere in the world I have travelled . But the dog enjoyed leftovers. Wouldn't reccommend. Save your money.

The food was terrible. We visited on Mother's Day. We ordered pork spare ribs which turned out to be deep fried battered bits of ham. So I told the waitress and she said there is no bones in the spare ribs. I said but this is battered and deep fried and not even pork and she just walked away. We left after paying $50 and eating fish and chips which our daughter shared with us.
Absolutely terrible food and service.

Great little club in the Beachside village. Cheap drinks, good Chinese food at good prices and all can be enjoyed on the large deck looking out to the ocean.

Great little spot, bar staff are the best, know how to make a good lemon lime and bitters. Family friendly, great place in general.

Went for a meal at the Chinese restaurant - meals a good size, delivered pretty quickly, friendly staff, and now accept EFTPOS.

Worst restaurant I've ever been to. Lady taking orders is the rudest person on the planet. I decided to go hungry than risk eating food from a clearly angry human being. Don't recommend at all.

Unfortunately we are from Victoria so were refused admittance. Left Victoria 6th June. Heading home now. Bit harsh. So if you are from Vic dont bother.

We come here every year on holidays. Great Club and awesome volunteers. We always have a great night out!!!
