We come to SCC Woden quite often, and enjoy the club's atmosphere and of course the happy hour and food.

The staff are great, but a big shout out to Jenny who is a supervisor in the dining and bar area. She is always helpful and focused on making sure everyone gets what they need. Thank you Jenny!

Great atmosphere. A mix of dining and casual seating, couches in front of the fire are an awesome place to sit on a chilly Canberra evening. Had the wood fire pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The venue is clean, modern and offers a menu with variety.

The arcade rigged. They use double sticky tape on the chocolate machine to into trick kids into thinking they can win a prize. I would've left zero stars if possible.

I recently had my birthday dinner one week ago at the Canberra Southern Cross club. It might be suitable for just a normal night out but I would not recommend it for a special occasion.

Originally when my husband made the booking, he explained that this was for a birthday dinner and for us to be seated somewhere nice. He also enquired about setting up a bar tab to which they said no problem.

When we arrived we had been placed right next to the pool tables. We could not hear ourselves think let alone speak to one another. The staff behaved as though we were being a bother. I can't lie they were quite rude. And it took unnecessarily long to set up a simple bar tab. My aunt asked if we could be moved to the empty table next to us where we were not in danger of being hit in the head by the pool queues while a bunch of rowdy men played a game, and the noise level would be a bit less at the next table. The staff member asked why we wanted to move and upon the explanation they simply said no, because in their opinion it would not make any difference. That table remain empty for the rest of the night.

I hate being a Karen and I am normally not a confrontational person, but at this point I asked for the manager and explained the situation again, and asked to be moved a table further away which had become available. The manager I have to admit was nice and got that table cleaned and we were able to move.

The whole experience was very underwhelming and I doubt we will ever eat there again. The food was good and the manager was helpful. If it wasn't for those two factors I would've given the Canberra southern crust club 1 star.

Invited by my friend to catch up for lunch here before Christmas. Spacious dining area with kids play area which was handy to keep the kids occupied so that the adults can have a chat. Food was quite nice & price was not too bad. Buy an adult meal & get a kids meal free. Lady by the name Victoria who served me was very lovely & polite. Lady who got our parking tickets verified was very lovely too!

Food is generally yum and it's fun for kids. The last few times I have been there, they have never cleared our plates, even when we have had cakes to serve or been there for hours. They also never bring you out any plates or cutlery for the cake, you have to go get it all from the bar and carry it yourself, even when it is unmanageable for 1 person, they do not assist. They also messed up our orders so much that we had more plates of food than people ordered.

Was there on a busy Saturday evening. Staff were helpful, value was good and seating and atmosphere good for mixed age family and other groups and singles. Parking was fine, with easy access for all, including those with mobility limitations. Only slight downside was that steaks ordered were a little overcooked, but meat quality was excellent notwithstanding. Side salad of rocket was brilliant. Overall, well worth visiting for a meal if one is in Woden.

No booking!!! No problem the staff told us to go and enjoy the club and they would call us. $200 winnings later and we got a call andtrhe winnings covered the night. Loved it. Responsible gambling though okay?!

Me and my grandmother come every Monday and Victoria in the cafe always greets us with a smile. She makes the whole experience so much nicer. We have now switched from Tuggeranong to Woden now as the service is so lovely. Thanks for making our lunch so lovely.

There's a decent variety of food which is really good but I feel that the pizza is the best! There's also a really good range of beer on tap, even the pokies room has a really good bar! There's facilities for kids and I've noticed they always seem to really enjoy themselves. I always enjoy coming here for meetings.

We bought the dinner & show tickets to see Strassman's the Chocolate Diet.
Hubby had the steak which he said was good, though they weren't cooked to customers preference. I had the chicken and couldn't fault it.
Venue was clean & nice, staff were helpful with directions. Carpark was full when we arrived over an hour before the show, we luckily got a park in the open Westfield one across the road

Good deal for happy hour drink 4-6 pm ?
Tried Schnitzel parmigiana, tasted OK.
Enjoyed it on Tuesday deal. Worth it.

The service was excellent. The table we had reserved had nice wooden chairs, but I have a back injury. As soon as I asked if they had a cushion, they simply swapped out the chair for a cushioned one. No hassle, done in 30 seconds.
Now to the food. The prawns I had were excellent & perfectly cooked. The other 3 people with said the same about the food they ordered, 2 had salt & pepper squid, one had the steak. The desserts were delicious too. It was my first time at this venue in Canberra but it certainly won't be my last. It'll be on my list very time I visit Canberra. You won't be disappointed either if you get the chance to visit. Cheers.

Also we were keen on pizzas which there was none.
They were on menu and only told when ordered.
Also chocolate machine was out of order so went home hungry.

booked a table in the patio, a good quite place so was able to talk, sevice was reasonable, tabe was set nicely and food was liked. by everyone.

Good food, great service and reasonably priced. One of the better clubs in Canberra and highly recommend! Try the pizza, it's very good ? A lot of pokies if that's you're thing, a big variety!

I ordered from the table QR code but my meal wasn't delivered (the other 13 meals were delivered). After proof of payment from my online banking they quickly refunded the money, no drama.
I was more disappointed by the dark haired woman at the ice cream counter who shut shop on me when I had been waiting for a group with kids to be served, served by another staff member. They then served a guy in his own. Then she closed the door where the guy had just been serving and turned off the light in the ice cream counter and said we close at 9pm, it was 9.08. I was the only other person. Felt like a rough night at the SCC.

We had the Grilled Salmon and Fishermen's basket. The food was excellent. We ate in the Patio. It was quiet, intimate, and relaxing. The windows give a nice view of the outside. The service was friendly and so quick. We were very pleased with the experience.

Reliable good fresh food and decent value. Make sure you use your membership card for member prices :) Friendly club, good pool tables, child and old people friendly. Make sure not to miss the deserts, the small bite size deserts are irresistible. Watch the pokies, they chew your dollars ... paid parking now unless you spend some $$ or leave after 8pm. Still most reasonable :)

Venue itself is fine but after ordering some $200 worth of food including some basic serves of garlic bread and a few meals, I was pretty disappointed with what we ended up with. It took an exceptionally long time for the food to arrive, which is generally fine if your appetisers turn up, but in our case our garlic bread literally came out after the meals were delivered, and only after I complained. And the 230 gram steak I ordered as part of a surf and turf meal looked like a kids sized supermarket quality cut with three cold prawns and a dismal serving of veges which were cold. My poor daughter ended up with nuggets and chips with no sauce, and no waitperson in sight to rectify that.

Can't say it was all bad, but if wasn't for good company joining I would have complained a lot more, and I likely won't go back to eat there again, unless there's a compelling reason.

Had Sunday dinner at the club and wasn't disappointed. I like the big open space and lively atmosphere. The food wasn't bad with decent serving sizes for each dish. The service was pretty good too.

Food was good, last steak I got was a bit shoe-like, but I did ask for no blood in the steak, definitely no blood!! Don't request this when ordering steak And I'm sure it would be fine.
Staff could learn to smile, but it is a pandemic, so, fair enough.
Chips are always brilliant here, must be double cooked.

Pizza and beetroot salad this time, minimal cheese, good for me, being lactose intolerant. Salad was small but gorgeous, pumpkin was Kent, butternut would be better, but beets were gorgeous.
