PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!!
If you are looking at joining a country club I highly recommend you attend an event first to get a true understanding of the club and its culture.
After attending the Christmas in July event on Saturday 27th July, I left the event early, distraught and humiliated.
The hard work of the organizers was overshadowed by the behaviour of one member and the failure to act accordingly by management.
No amount of complementary bottles of wine and apologies can compensate for tolerating the behavior of this member.
The fact that this gentleman was not escorted from the premises, due to his lifetime membership shows the elitism of the club.
It is shame that the actions of one can stain the image of its members.
Let's hope there are alternative country clubs out there, whose mission statement is reflected in their actions not only their words.
Truly devastated by the events of that evening.

My opinions based upon my personal experience as a guest at an event here:

Course/views/outlook = Outstanding! It really is a beautiful place and the landscaping crew have done an amazing job, it's pristine!

Food = Good - above average for a club.

Facilities = Disappointing - Everything seemed quite dated, the chairs were uncomfortable and I found myself struggling to hear people because the air conditioning noise was so loud (is the air conditioner's cooling tower right outside the club house or just above on the roof? It was just sooooo loud!).

In my opinion they need to invest some money in sound proofing their building, like double/triple glazed windows or even secondary glazing, and acoustic panels on the walls ceilings to help with echos etc.

Their tech could also use an upgrade, like 100 inch LCD televisions etc.

So all in all i will give it a 3/5 and re-visit if they upgrade the acoustics or get a new air conditioning system.

Sep 29th, had my Dads Celebration of Life here , Right from the 1st meeting with Cherie, i knew things were in good hands. She was quick responder, deligent , kind n thoughtful n went above n beyond to help suggest n make the event personal n special. On the day Mr Daniel (polite ,respectful n genuine) although multi tasking at the club bar too, organized the toast drink items?? EARLY n when the time came he found time to walk them around our room,as opposed to my guests having to walk out n ask for individual toast glasses to be filled up as we went along (Which originally was going to happen) ok for soft drinks but would hav been super Akward for the toast? drinks?
the fact that Mr Daniel made time to serv in our room added a LOVELY FINESSE to everything that already gone well.?
BTW HIGHLY recommend the PRAWN ? TWISTS ??'???'??

Very difficult to find entry drive way. Went around perimeter twice before finding street access with no through drive. No signage directing for club.

Downgrading my previous rating. Lovely course but Board and management need to be changed. I agree with other reviewers, after paying $$$$ for membership you would expect to feel like a community, but not here. I know many other members share my sentiments, but dare not speak up in this totalitarian regime. The management and board love being on a power trip, they're still living in the 70s. I rarely give a 1 star rating, but I felt this was warranted, given my long term experience.

Awesome golf course, well laid out and very good condition

We were there for a friend's wake. Function room excellent for our get-together. Finger food quite ? yummy.

The golf course might be amazing, but when you pay a joining fee of over 6k you except more than just a good golf course, but also a clubhouse with with decent facilities. Well, what a disgrace, I booked a table at 10 am on Sunday morning for 1:30 for lunch with family. We arrived on time, then got told we might have to wait 40 minutes for our food because there was a function. We accepted, but 1 and a half hours later we were offered 3 bowls of fricking french fries to supposedly keep us content and happy. After 2 hours I decided we would leave as we had wasted half our Sunday afternoon waiting for NOTHING. The manager didn't even question our decision to leave!!
What a disgrace!!!
What are we as members paying for!!!!

Very well managed golf club. One of the best clubs in Sydney metro area.

Hmmm all glamour and glitter with little substance! Entree arrived with the mains,sent it back but the chef refused to accept it so we had entree and mains together! There are plenty more much better places to go and spend your hard earned cash!

Beautifully manicured greens and surroundings. Stunning golf course. Really only downside was bistro wasn't open for lunch so had approx 30 hungry golfers after game

Food was really great. Venue was nice and quiet, we could actually hear each other's conversation. A very pleasant experience.

Played at this course recently and it was fantastic. Some really wonderful holes, beautiful fairways and the greens were true. The club house and pro shop staffs were friendly. Overall a very enjoyable day.

Firstly this is a little late but can everyone please ignore the last review that is under my name as that was not me or my account. That review was completely false and wrong.Secondly Castle Hill Country Club is a great course that is undergoing some super course renovations that look really good. The staff and the committees within the club are excellent and the facilities are great. They have looked after me very well for the past 5 years and I enjoy being a member at CHCC. And would highly recommend to anyone thinking of becoming a member to do so.

Impressive. Played off the black tees in a Vardon comp and was very impressed. Fantastic course layout and the par 5's were mostly 3 full-shot holes. Greens are huge and fast. Plenty of strategic holes including 3, 4 or 5 irons off the tee on some par 4's. Every part of your game needs to be on here and you need to think your way around and put the ball in the right position. I heard about the amateur shooting 59 and thought it might be a gentle course. Off the black tees it is brutal, especially the par 3's.
