We tried here for the first time in October, with the kids' play area being our main attraction.
The food was okay. However, the service times left a lot to be desired. That night, we ordered a dessert at 5:45 pm (young kids, anyone?) And went at 6:30 when the dessert hadn't even turned up.
We decided to try again tonight, a quiet Tuesday night in December. Only four tables were seated when we arrived, and we promptly ordered at 5:40 pm. Our meals did not arrive until 6:25 pm.
I appreciate this is not a fast-food restaurant, and it may be fine if you are a couple on a date talking over a bottle of wine. However, For young kids, when time is at a premium, the time to receive the meals is too long. The kids' meals did come out within 10 minutes, but ours being 35 minutes later is not helpful.
We have tried four other bistros in the surrounding area, all with kids' play centres, and all had the meals out to the table well within 20 minutes. All of them had substantially more customers than the Glasshouse as well.
