Chatswood RSL Club - RSL in Chatswood New South Wales

The Chinese restaurant is good but a nit pricey. I did not go to the RSL to use their facilities other than having lunch in the restaurant.
But passing through the poker machines, the corridor and everything else is well maintained.
The check in process at the front desk is good too

Disgusting Food - Poor Service - No Quality Control

The food is expensive and just awful and the service is provided by staff who look like they are at a funeral.

My first dinner was a beefburger that was served between two slices of toast - really! My complaint was met with excuses by the Management.

You would think that it could not get any worse the second time, but look at the pictures.
This was supposed to be a:

"CLASSIC BURGER
char-grilled wagyu beef patty, crispy bacon,
sweet onions, pickle, cheddar cheese, tomato,
butter lettuce, toasted milk bun" for $24.20

The meal was lukewarm served on a cold plate -
1. The beef was uncooked
2. The crispy bacon was cold and looked like a slab of fatty ham
3. The toasted milk bun was soggy and oily

I could go on but you get the picture.

There can be no excuses for the service of such food - it is embarrassing!

The food and beverage manager and the cook? need to go!!!

WELL I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THINGS HAVE CHANGED SINCE THE RECENT RENOVATION!

There have been some major improvements in the decor, the service and the food quality.
The decor is bistro style which is not my style but I will not give a more negative opinion than that.
The old team has gone and the restaurant now seems to be under different management.
The service has improved immensely with more staff and even a few smiles.
The menu is a bit limited but now the food is cooked and hot.
This place is not somewhere that I would take a friend for a night out but it is OK for a quick meal.
My previous score was struggling with a 1/10 and now I am comfortable to give a 5/10.

The Chatswood RSL bistro is a popular restaurant for lunch, achieving a near full house on the few occasions I've attended. Meals are a little pricey but are generally well prepared and in some cases are generous servings. Wait times are not too long, even during peak times.

I went to 446 Pizza Bar after a work meeting and found their food was on the top of the quality and great service!

Accidentally stumbled across this place in what I feel like was a "vision quest" of sorts trying to find KFC 😅 although my "roaring" twenties was spent at many RSL's, I didn't go in, but I was in awe of the beautiful Remembrance Garden full of flowers out the front. Took my breath away and so I took more than a moment to remember our fallen soldiers of the past.. Lest we forget. Attitude of gratitude always. Absolutely adored the giant poppys in the window overlooking the garden and really appreciated the beauty of the moment at night. What a stunning, reflective tribute and piece of peaceful nature in the city to stumble across- An excellent place to honour the brave and acknowledge our fearless, heroic ancestors.
