I actually enjoyed it at the Club Sydney. I played the keno, but I didn't try the food as I already at somewhere else, probably next time. The staff are really nice so is the security guard. Also the people are really nice as well. Laid back, it's a nice place. I would recommend going past and visiting. You don't have to play the pokies to go there, food drinks, chats with locals and keno.

The only club that I visit currently. Due to the soaring cost of living crisis I find this club is the only one that suits me. Even though it is rather compact and small the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff very helpful and friendly in their approach. Being situated near the centre of the city I am able to leave the premises and do various chores that I attend in the area. Sydney is the oldest city in Australia and my membership at this club dates back to 1985. Although my membership has not always been current it is the first club that I ever joined. There was another club I joined in 1985 in Surrey Hills, it was called the Sydney Trade Union Club. I have a feeling it is now defunct. Well so much for clubbing, I am not really a fan but in a large metropolis they can be beneficial and rewarding. Sincerely, Thomas Stevens.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The beer is dirt cheap, the staff are friendly and there is a good choice of machines. I visit every time I come to Sydney. There is a chair out the front so you can sit down and think about what you just did. Escalator in, elevator out. Those are the only rules.

Worst place. Zero standards. Serving drunk people. Food being prepared in the main bar. Toilets in a foul state. Sad this serves under the RSL banner.

Wasn't given lunch special menu, so didn't know then only one main came out even though there were NO share plates, so hubby ate, rice got cold. 2nd meal came when hubby was finished and rice stone cold, so asked them to reheat. Terrible service. Girl should ask, are we sharing or at least not be silly enough to se one plate doesn't mean share

Great service! Would recommend this place to anyone. The Chinese was so good! Flavour had me jumping! And to end the night me and the boys played the pokies.

Nice place, had a go on the pokies did ok, went for dinner but was a bit empty (about 6:30 on a Wednesday) so went elsewhere, staff were very friendly and pokie staff very helpful. Fair chance I'll be back again!!

We only ate from the mini food stall that was located upon entering Club Sydney in the morning - we did not go any further into the Club Sydney building, so I have no idea what actually goes on in there, but we ate the pork buns served to us by an elderly lady who looked really happy. Service was really nice. Maybe I have the wrong store.

They let people follow you and watch you playing machines and they never stop them from it. You put $1000 in and someone is on your machine before you win it's horrid this place needs help! I put $1000 in a machine won nothing and the next person won $25,000

After coming here recently,I've come a few times more. Staff are nice and the place is extremely clean and well maintained. I'll try the restaurant on the upper level next time.

It was ok...i was lookn forward to a good ole fashioned aussie pub...instead its a chinese rsturant with 4 western dishes...i got chinese springrolls with a hot outside but frozen veg inside...im not sure why its still a RSL when its decked out in a chinese resturant....at least the beer was cold...not sure why they took pics of our lincence to enter a chinese resturant ...prob because of the pokies on level 1

So for years I thought this was a weird RSL. You go upstairs and it's this small but classy mini RSL (I would even say it's like a classy pub) to then go the other day to find out there is more levels (the cocktail lounge is awesome)..... Unreal.

My only bit of advice is to maybe throw some signs to let you know about the other levels.

RESTAURANT NOT RECOMMENDED. The chinese ?? restaurant was not what I expected. The so called waitress could not speak or comprehend English. When ordering we had to get the chef to come out and interpret so the order could be taken. The food was OK except for the special Fried rice which wasn't special at all. Only 2 prawns in it and no pork or chicken. I would not go back there and I don't recommend that you do. ??'???

And the so called response from the owner, Louise, below is stupid!!! Where did I say that the food was great. Failed to address the issue that I raised. Took them 6 days to respond.

Lovely quiet courteous club at club prices drinks and food. Can't go wrong the staff attentive and clean through out. Give it a go I'm sure you'll be impressed.?

first time we come here technically we aren't even have a chance to get in for play pokies, this security guard at the front so rude to us it's the first time here so we didn't know where we should sign in so we were about to take the escalator and this guy just jump on us and asked where you think you are going!? You have to sign in! But in the very rude I just explained to him that it's the first time we are here and he doesn't have to talk to us like that just explained and we will understand, after I say something back to him, he just tell us to go somewhere else and don't let us in the club. Bad manner and hospitality ever, not reccomend to go there, if he has a bad day at work or hate his job or whatever shouldn't go to work at all.

Good service, friendly staff, reasonably priced delicious meals with a big serving. Food was delish!!

Try the restaurant. Best Chinese I've had in years. I would go back just for more fried rice let alone how good every other dish was.

Very good, spacious venue with good range of games.The only negative is that some machines are located in the designated smoking area which makes it uncomfortable if you are a non-smoker.

Best place the service is great the staff are courtious the security sings the songs and the food at the Asian fusion restaurant is amazingRecommend the prawn and pork dumplings in the peanut sauce omg sooo great

We had a buffet Chinese dinner for 32 in the Sports Bar which went really well. Food was great, fresh veggie dumplings and pork dumplings plus buffet and plenty of it. The room was smart (ignore the scruffy entrance) with bar and dining area. Staff and managers were really helpful arranging the room for a singalong (we are a choir). A great night.
