I took my friend out for her birthday. I ordered beef ribs and she ordered grilled barramundi. My beef ribs were superb. Very, very soft pull apart meat, which also was very tasty. The meat wasn't fatty either. She loved the fish. Not that mad about the potato mash or vegetables. The dessert was a cake, which was a caramel and banana gateaux, which was really a surprise taste wise, and we couldn't stop raving about how great it tasted and its texture. And. For a club, they made a decent cup of coffee, flat white. The club owns the bistro, so they have better control of the food. And it shows. What a great idea and not just having a great view. I also give it 5 stars for the view during daylight hours. Stunning. Went today. Food was just as good. My friend had salmon and surprise surprise. I hD the pork ribs again. Chips was also great. Only boring mud cake today which was. Dense.

We went there for evening meal on Mon 13 May 2024.
We were staying at the G'Day Discovery Park, and the Bistro offered collect and return - appreciated.
Good but short menu, we selected one fish n chips and one calamari - excellent.
Popular with the locals - Bingo and other family activities were happening.
Friendly staff and efficient service.
Recommended.

The venue itself is very nice, spacious and friendly with fantastic views of the marina. Our evening meal was dreadful. The only good thing about the Seafood Chowder was the generous quantity of seafood; however, the calamari was overcooked and therefore very tough, and the 'creamy' sauce tasted nothing resembling double-thick cream in traditional chowder, but more like cornflour and stock. The best thing about the steak meal were the chips, al dente vegetables and sauce, but the steak itself was very tough. If using cheap cuts, it should be tenderised or marinated beforehand.

Beer was cold. End of compliment!!!
Meals - well over 2 + hours for a meal. Whilst we understood the magnitude of the overwhelming wave of Christmas customers, there are no excuses. Poor attitudes from KITCHEN staff to boot. The young woman on the checkout was also having to deal with this mayhem. We felt for her.
Solution: hire more staff!! SIMPLE!

On recommendation we decided to dine at Club Harrington on a Saturday night.
Asking for water at the bar (with a drink order) we were sold a bottle of water, so no complimentary table water here. We ordered beef cheeks for dinner. The potatoes, beans and gravy were delicious but the meat was full of gristle and fat and was inedible. I returned it to the servery where the staff just said "okay" and took the plate (still full of gristley beef) and walked away. That's it, no further correspondence was entered into. I truly cannot recommend the beef cheeks. If you want to eat here (and the setting is fabulous) I'd definitely suggest ordering something else.
The star is for the setting, not the food or the drink service or the kitchen staff.
Edit. The manager listened well and apologized for our disappointing food experience. Thanks to him for that.

Most disappointing meal I have had in a long time. Slow roast brisket was beautiful but only 1 small slice sitting on a bed of Luke warm mashed potatoes and some peas. The partner's Chicken Parmigiana was overcooked and again a fairly small portion with about 10 chips and a salad with leaves that were brown and slimy on the edges. Bought drinks, perused the menu, ordered our meal, ate and left the premises in under an hour.

Visiting the Harrington area and called in for lunch. The menu was extensive and the meals exceptional. Huge portions, great value for money and a view over the water that was magnificent. I watched a few dolphins swim past!

This place is a gem. Great staff and good old fashion food at very reasonable prices. Open steak sandwich was fantastic as was the chicken ceaser salad. The chef is brilliant and knows how to cook. All other staff were friendly and very welcoming. Sat in a window seat with water right there beside me. Will definitely go back.

Absolutely great staff. My wife is Coeliac and they bent over backwards in the bistro to cater for her. The lady serving and the kitchen staff on 15/12 PM Shift were amazing. Couldn't praise them any higher. Thanks staff at Club Harrington! They were amazing to my kids as well. This is how all clubs should be!

The seafood dish was made to suit my specific dietary needs. It was delicious. The pumpkin rissotto with chicken was too large to finish. Great leftovers for a future lunch. Great value. All the meals were generously and quickly served. Too many choices, so have to come again.

Had lunch here. The view was spectacular. Staff were very friendly. Food was below average. Seafood linguine had a strong tomato base which overwhelmed any seafood flavour. It was supposed to contain prawns and scallops. The prawns were nice but I didn't find a single scallop. It also contained mussels - strait from a tin!
My wife had a pizza. Packet base, poorly cooked and no flavour.
Wine prices very good.

This little club must be one of New South Wales best kept secret you go in the staff are so nice and treat you so well you look out the windows and you see the ocean and lovely views the food at the bistro is also really nice the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is great I would highly recommend anybody coming down from Brisbane or from Sydney to make a detour and come in and have a look from MWH

Food was great, that pork belly, vegetarian pasta and scotch fillet. All well cooked and seasoned. No complaints, just a little overpriced based on the venue's facilities & decor. You can get a table overlooking the water and break wall, with floor to ceiling windows, request it when booking, and definitely book in advance! Most of staff was friendly and helpfull.

We went there for lunch with family and friends and thought the food was average, not horrible or anything, just very average. The place lacked atmosphere unless bingo counts as atmosphere.

Good old Irish pub how can you go wrong. Great atmosphere with great entertainment and food by professional chef. We had a great stay in the afternoon till night. Great service with staff all friendly waiting to serve you

I celebrated my 80th birthday on the 30th January with my family and friends. I would like to thank the catering staff for such wonderful food and service.everything we requested was provided Food wonderful and nice big servings .Everyone went away happy.Thank you so much.We will be back.Barry and Aileen Tisdell.

My friend took me there for a belated Birthday lunch & it was beautiful, I had a Thai Beef Salad, very generous serving, couldn't fault it, service very good & bar service friendly & obliging. Would recommend & will be going back again.
