An excellent club. The staff are friendly and informative. The Bistro has an excellent range of food and the prices are very good. They have a Craft Bar with a surprisingly good range of craft beers. The receptionist on the front desk is a very professional and helpful person. Definitely a great club to visit and spend time at.

Attended on Saturday evening with friends for dinner. Very easy to find with plenty of parking. Good menu with a good variety of meals to choose from, ordering was a breeze & we had our food in no time. Good atmosphere and not too loud so you can have a conversation.

Club Rivers is not as good as it used to be

The specials stay for usually two
months. The current special has two lamb dishes not a lot of variety the menu could really do with a refresh. Every day the roast of the day is Pork.

clearly they don't talk to each other the river gum cafe has soup for $10 yet mikes grill had soup initially for $20 now $16

they advertise Mikes footy specials for origin but it is just the same thing on the menu each week no footy special yes there is wings and nachos but you ask at the counter what are the footy foods and the staff don't know what you are taking about.

they have new staff who clearly need training on basic customer service i submitted a feedback form on their website end of May 2023 received no follow up so followed up on it myself was told a manager would contact me directly still haven't received any response yet multiple times when i have come to the club i keep getting told they want to see me face to face but nothing

one of the points in my feedback in May was to regularly clear the tables again today over two hours waiting for our table to be cleared and it was only when we were leaving was our table cleared.

I also mentioned how in the cafe staff do not acknowledge customers waiting which happened again today they were making my coffee and people were waiting behind me no acknowledgment that won't be long.

Overall the club is good does a lot for the community and has a lot of regulars however standard of customer service from the staff is really letting the club down hence my rating. A year ago the rating would have been higher they really need to give the team a basic training review of customer service

LISTENING TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS IS PART OF CLUB RIVERS CUSTOMER SERVICE CHARTER

Your comments and feedback help us to ensure our cuture of outstanding customer service is maintained

clearly that is not the case

Edit - Received feedback and was advised that the club needed to hire new staff which they have now the training begins things have improved slightly but still a long way to go

Absolutely love the parmies, my fav is the 4 cheese with bacon. Enjoy the monthly beers on tap and think its great that they help promote local brewers. Very friendly staff.
The parking is not great as a non member.
But overall a good place to have lunch/ dinner etc and the raffles

VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! We ordered food from Mikes Grill through the QR code and it failed and then we proceeded to order at the counter . After waiting for our food , doubles of every meal came and we spoke to a staff member and they brought the manager out . We explained the story to The manager Sema and she said there's nothing that they can do about it and continued to say it was our fault and to connect to wifi (no VISIBLE signs that there is no reception and to use wifi ) After explaining this to her she proceeded to not care and laughed without acknowledging their mistakes. She made us feel stupid and now we have to take a big bag of food that we aren't going to eat. Also food isn't that great either . FIRST & THE LAST TIME WE WILL COME AND EAT HERE!!!!

I visited Club Rivers for Mother's Day 2023 and had a family lunch at Mike's Grill. Ordering food was super easy using the QR code at the table and the bar was close by for drinks. The food portions at Mike's Grill are massive! There is a parking station across the road or you can park on the street.

Amazing decor with QUALITY inclusions. Friendly staff, however bar staff need to be quicker at making and delivering drinks. We are not locals but go to the club once a week. Recommended to us by friends. Wheelchair and elderly friendly. Congrats to management and friendly staff

Club Rivers is a friendly place, staff are helpful. I go in the back door and it is wheelchair accessible and there is a lift. There are craft beers on tap and the food is good and competitively priced. There is a Seniors menu at around $15.

I have been aware of and visited Club Rivers numerous times when I was in the area. Back when Helen's was still around, we were loved the calendar vouchers they had for members and the fashionable yet casual vibe of the club. To this day, Club Rivers maintains its excellent hospitality and atmosphere credentials with well-maintained facilities, event hostings and friendly staff always at hand. They boast a comfy lounge in front of the big screen with plenty of chairs and tables that immediately get filled up whenever there's a raffle. This was our aircon sanctuary during the summer heatwaves. Certified by the locals and myself, Club Rivers is one of the best places to be in Riverwood.

One of the reasons we frequented Club Rivers was the bistro which was formerly known as Helen's. But when the restaurant suddenly closed down, we were left to consider its replacement, Malt Barrel. The food was promising until COVID hit, resulting in less menu options and rising prices, precipitating a tragic fall from grace for Club River's dining. Then Mike's Grill arrived to save the day.

Initially, I renewed my hopes for Club Rivers' pub food upon hearing another new restaurant alongside its renovations. Enthusiasm was alight in seeking a good reason to more regularly return to Club Rivers. What could Mike possibly do that could harbour the same fate of his predecessors? Apparently, yes... he could do that.

The food can be easily summarised as a huge letdown. I had no grievances whatsoever looking at the large chicken schnitzel coated in crunchy panko crumbs on my plate. However, I could not foresee the harsh truth underneath the flaky exterior and its terrific texture. The chicken itself was drier than the Atacama and completely bland. Even the gravy wasn't enough to quench the arid meat as I was forced to relinquish finishing the dish. For my first meal back at Club Rivers, I left shellshocked.

Another opportunity to try Mike's again, this time their cheeseburger. The burger eerily resembles McDonald's from the appearance down to the ketchup and mustard they use, but in this case, Ronald does it far much better. While the size seems massive with its wide burger buns, the beef patty is quite thin and small in comparison, obscured by the forest of lettuce. Thus, the composition of the burger was unbalanced with parts simply being mouthfuls of insipid lettuce and bread. Despite being depressingly limp, the buns were buttered and grilled on both sides, giving a rich fragrant mouthfeel. That may be the only leverage Mike has over Ronald McDonald. The exterior of the patty was burnt and hard to chew with the unsavoury taste of ash lingering afterwards. Fortunately, the beef was still palatable though a tad bit grainy and dry. All the flavours were solely derived from the artificial McDonald's cheese and the sugary sauces, nothing more nothing less to an already abysmal meal.

If you couldn't stomach the unappetising main dishes, you can thank the giant pile of lightly salted, fluorescent yellow chips to satiate your hunger. The alternative to the carbs is the colourful salad liberally dressed in mayo but I doubt any of the sides could compensate for the inadequate flavours. More jarring were the (member) prices, $17 for a below fast food quality burger and $22 for a dry schnitzel is unbelievable.

I really wanted to reacquaint with Club Rivers through the love language of food but, alas, it just wasn't there. My apologies to Club Rivers and my critiques for Mike to get a handle on the grill in the future.

UPDATE: I tried out their roasted sweet potato salad. Visually, it was spectacular. Little did I know, their generous drizzle of balsamic vinegar was concealing the fact that they used old, blackened spinach leaves. Big red flag but at least the other components were tasty together.

Food is okay, but on the lame side. I used to enjoy the variety of craft beers, but now they are alost all hazy citrus varieties. When I wanted a whiskey on ice I was told that shots are against policy. (I'm ovet 50: I sip my whiskey -- I don't shoot it!). Not coming back.

A group of us went to Club Rivers for lunch on a Sunday. It's not an experience I would like to repeat again. One of our party is vision impaired (as in totally blind). I understand that covid conditions were in place and I understand that that all risks factors are minimised, but come on...Having to join the club, just to have lunch - not happy..No menus - there is a QR on each table for diners to download/ scan and it brings up the menu (for a blind person this would take forever for his phone to read the menu to him, or I could have taken him up to the counter - where everyone was queuing to place their orders and read the menu to him from there.. (thankfully a kind waitress heard his dilemma and bought a menu from the kitchen so I could read it out to him.Having been to Club River on numerous previous occasions, the food was really great, with lots of choices and variety.. what can I say, the food was just okay, nothing special, nothing outstanding, just plain okay. For a club that has spent so money to revamp/upgrade etc.. at least there should be something worth while when visiting this club, if not the food what else is there to offer??

My family had dinner at Malt Barrel. The food was great. But it took 45 minutes for the food to come out. The place was not even busy, 6 tables in our section, a few in others.

Staff are always pleasant.Food portions is decent.Tried the CNY special and was quite disappointed to pay $$ for 6 small scallops not even luke warm and barely flavored.Though it was doused in butter and looked flavoursome. It was the only disappointing dish

I love this place.
Definitely worth the membership fee. Discounts offered more than repay the cost.
The best part I love is their Craft Beer Bar called The Malt Barrel. They rotate the finest craft beers on 6 taps and offer a Growler refill on whatever they have on tap at the time.
They have a great Asian restaurant called Red River House for excellent well priced Asian cuisine
Or you can choose to eat at their recently rebranded Bistro Malt Barrel Char and Bar
They have different promotions on most nights of the week.
And they also have a great little Children's Play room
They tick ALL my boxes
I don't gamble so I can't comment on their gaming area but it's always buzzing.
