She can barely speak English and the food wasn't good, I ordered Crumbed King prawns with chips and salad.. prawns were so fatty all I could taste was the crumbs...obviously another packet item.

Great service and food! Really good honey chicken and plum duck.

The staff are friendly. And some interesting items in the museum.

Country town RSL with a really nice Chinese restaurant run by a friendly Chinese couple. Beer prices pretty good too.

I gather now the free camp (on ex bowls greens at back) is not associated with RSL club and not complaining - just find it strange as first time this has happened. Plenty campers have dogs but the RSL doesn't allow dogs. Thought we were doing the right thing by having a drink at the club/pub providing a free camp. Our old dog goes where we go and we brought him into the enclosed Smokers Area and had one drink before being told dogs not allowed - not even in the enclosed Smokers area. Cant be for health reasons then! We were there with a few other patrons that gave pats, chatted and had no complaints. Doggo laid on the floor causing no issues at all.
Went for two meals but settled on drinks as meals served inside only.

Had takeaway meal and camped out the back. Food was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend.

I ordered a pasta dish and asked just take the meat out and it tasted as what you would expect.
The plate of chips was OK but no chilli sauce was available.

New restaurant at the RSL.
Wow. Waited an hour and a half for our food. After that without any food, the manager came to inform us he can't complete our order due to running out. So after an hour an a half they started to prepare our order? Place was not busy at all. Would hate to wait when it is actually stacked.

The memorial is the back drop to a free road side camp(gravel pit), toilet, no water, big trucks also use this stop.

A very friendly club with cold drinks and on a hot day like today the air conditioning was cranked up which was very welcomed. The restaurant service and keenly priced meals came in next to no time and were country sized .

Fantastic Indian (or Nepalese?) goat curry! Certainly no fancy dining space, but a superb meal!
Update: butter chicken is superb too. Friendly and excellent Indian chef in the kitchen ??'?

I have had two excellent meals here. Butter chicken and Barramundi the following night.
Different style dishes than the norm ...done by Nepalise chefs with unique recipes. Very reasonably priced & great service .

Wow just read reviews as I just had dinner here, well as previously stated bar staff need a shake up. Poor management if they allow staff to treat people so poorly. Food was lovely as was kitchen staff but honestly it's not somewhere you would go again. I have worked in hospitality industry and it's not hard to be polite and friendly.

Beautiful Parma and cold beer, couldn't ask for any more. Free camping out the back is perfect.

We left our sons boots here and called 2 weeks later and they offered to send them back free of charge. Arrived with a beautiful note and nicely packed. We couldn't be more grateful!

We stayed in the campsite behind the club. Thank you to the club for providing this space. We are more than happy to spend in towns that support the travelling community!! If it wasn't for this club providing this space we probably would have driven straight through!!

Ladies at the door were very welcoming, however the older bar staff were very unfriendly, slammed our glasses down and glared at us without a word. We have always been happy with the service in these clubs over the years of our travels, unfortunately the older bar staff in this club need educating about making their customers feel wanted. A smile is all that it takes. ?

The main reason I went there was that I was told that the restaurant made a good goat curry, and they do! It was delicious, the restaurant staff were delightful.
I ordered my goat curry and went to the bar, thinking that it was a new day, and that everyone has an off day doesn't one.
A different older woman took my order and she was more than less than friendly!
I don't understand why you would work in the hospitality industry and not even try to be hospitable!
Management needs to look at their staff, and especially their customer focus.

This has The BEST Indian vindaloo I have ever had. Great menu,staff and service. Ask if you need anything special. Wait time is minimal. Definitely a great place to eat. Butter chicken is nice as well!!

The most depressing venue I've ever been to. It's very silent and sad. Staff look like they hate life but you can't blame them as the atmosphere made ME consider topping myself.
Food was really such a shame. Ordered the butter chicken and was given 4 tiny little baby cubes of chicken with sauce that was definitely microwaved out of a can or something horrible.. but it's cheap so I guess beggars can't be choosers. Partner ordered the 3 pork burger which was actually fine. We spent the evening pushing eachothers plates on eachother to ensure at least one of us got to enjoy food before finishing a 1000km drive tonight. For a place that's quite remote, people driving through have been driving for a long time, then to come here, it's disappointing. Big time. I don't usually leave reviews unless I can give a good one, but people coming through need to know to avoid the sadness that is Cobar Memorial so not to ruin their evenings.

Cobar RSL. For entree, we had squid, so flavoursome and tender and dumplings, yum! Then we shared the goat curry, tender meat, genuine curry flavours and only a hint of heat!! The curry was superb!!

Free camp on the bowling Green at the back of the club, cold beer, great food and service.

Good for overnight stop. Nice and level spots, toilets in the old bowls club. Bit of a gutter to get on to the disused bowling green

Great Chinese and Asian food, good beer, staff were friendly and helpful, reasonably priced. Will definitely stop again.
