Corrimal RSL Memorial Club

My partner and I were in Corrimal yesterday and decided to come to the club for lunch, we'd never been here before. When we first got there the woman at the entrance was kind of rude but we let that slide. We then went up to order some lunch. Very confusing with 3 different versions of chicken schnitzel, I was originally charged for the more expensive dish, my partner ordered the bangers and mash with onions. When out meal finally arrived one look and we were both underwhelmed. Firstly my schnitzel had a spoonful of gravy on it. I asked for extra but was told this would be an extra $2.50. It was a small frozen piece that probably came from Aldi. My chips were overcooked with no salt and my salad consisted of some leaves, grated carrot some onion and capsicum, not a tomato or cucumber to be seen. My partners meal consisted of 2 white looking sausages that my partner is sure we're microwaved and mashed potato that was definitely powdered. It was so bad he left half of it. I was going to join the club but after that experience there is no way we will ever go back.

I have been here about three times, twice for High Tea and the other time for a Christmas Lunch. The first High Tea, I have to say was better than the second. The first included soft drinks and the food seemed to be freshly made. The second time, they made us buy our drinks. After we questioned where the drinks were, they said it was extra. When we said that we got our drinks included the first time, they gave us a few jugs but said from then on, we would have to buy them.Also, the food in the second High Tea seemed to package cakes etc that came from the local grocery store. Definitely a decrease in quality from the first time.
The Christmas lunch was very nice, no complaints there. The staff overall were very friendly and accommodating for our group which was quite large. Thumbs up!! 😀😀

Best little secret of Wollongong. Always great feed at Jaffa's & drinks at RSL prices. Great friendly staff. Then there's the display of war memorabilia. Amazing history and actual S.S Dagger, Helmets, Pictures, fascinating.

We had a lovely high tea in the private function room downstairs today, the venue was lovely, food was delicious and the staff were so accomodating. Definitely recommend Corrimal RSL for your next event or even just a meal! Thank you to all
