I recommend the Sri Lankan prawn curry! Make sure you order an extra bowl of rice to soak up the left over curry, not enough rice included with meal. I will be ordering this dish every visit!

There were four of us dining. I had Thai beef salad. It was tasty although a little too much dressing, salad got a bit soggy towards the bottom and the noodles were in a clump. The Nasi Goreng, had one little piece of chicken, no prawns. It was hot in the middle with the outside just warm. The side salad was a bit out of place. The other 2 meals were parmas, 1 with salad and chips the other vegies and chips. Person with salad was surprised they had one piece of tomato whilst the Nasi Goreng plate had a lot more. The vegies were just warm. Both enjoyed the chips.
Overall not bad. Drinks seemed a bit more expensive.
What spoiled the evening was the couple that didn't think they needed to line up like everyone else to order and the girl taking orders let them jump queue. Whilst we had joined the queue well before the other couple had got up and ordered, they had received entree, before our order was placed and mains when we sat down after ordering. Please please please turn the heating on it was freezing last night. Your staff are fabulous and friendly but our meals got cold quickly with no heating. Attended a show up stairs and every single person was cold and uncomfortable not good or welcoming.

Good choice of food, at reasonable prices. Very clean and easy to park and access. Also has gaming facilities.

RSL getting it right

This place has gone to the pack. Menu has been halved and still can't make a decent feed.
Eaten here a few times over past few years, had maybe one decent meal out of all of them.
Had roast lamb last night, absolute rubbish cooked within a inch of its life dry as a dog biscuit. Reheated in microwave corn was off. Manager more worried about talking and letting people in with hats on. Unbelievably disrespectful.

Have a great roast of the day in a smaller size for us seniors. We had roast lamb for $12.20.

We were charged $12 for hot chocolate where every other club is free, we won't be going back there again. Finley was a whole lot better, with better service & a friendly barista

Great service, steak sandwich was great. Bar staff super friendly. Nice atmosphere for a week day.

We have waited over an hour for meals, still not received. We were told 15mins ago it would be 5mins. And there is continuous smashing if plates in kitchen. Need to improve greatly. Ready to go to Maccas.

2nd time visiting today.
1st time meal was poor.
This time I was with a bus group.
Ordered coffee, waited over half an hour. Staff kept on bringing out wrong orders. Once I finally got mine it was luke warm & not enjoyable. I asked for extra hot.
We all went into the Bistro & ordered our meals for lunch............
Well most of us waited over 30 minutes but most waited well OVER AN HOUR.
All meals were well below poor quality
Chicken parmies & fish over cook, cold potatoes, cold chips & half raw vegetables.
Will never be going back

They knew we were coming as we were booked in!!!!!

Have visited twice. First time great. Friendly staff. Very clean. 2nd time very disappointing. Luke warm coffee, ham and cheese toastie - I couldn't find the ham. At 10.39 am I thought that the carpet could have been cleaned. Very disappointing,

Disappointed with Roast lamb & vegies. Roast reheated & dry & boiled vegies. Steak sandwich average. Garlic bread was nice.
Won't be back & wouldn't recommend

Asked the girl for the gluten free option on chicken dish when our meals came out both looked the same waitress said both gluten free. I then asked about the chips she checked came back definitely chips not gluten free then she stated You Ijust ordered 2 chicken with salad and chips ! Of course unwell all night even though didn't eat the chips. Don't say gluten free options on menu if you can't deliver.

My first time experince coming to the Deni RSL club was fenominal. As I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff at the reception with a positive attitude. The waiter did a magnificent job when my order was taken and the service was really quick. Although parts of the club is dark I was pleased with the atmosphere. It was also fantastic to see everything just pause for a minute to pay respects for the ode and the last post. 5/5

Give this place a wide berth. I have never experienced such poor service and terrible food as here. It is so overpriced. The place is always nearly empty. I like to support the RSL Clubs but unfortunately something is radically wrong with this place. Not very welcoming nor friendly. Go anywhere but here.

We travel from Melbourne through New South Wales and Queensland regularly. In Victoria RSLsocial members can use their card at any Victorian venue and reap the benefits. I have an RSL membership in Queensland and the same applies. I decided therefore I would join Deniliquin RSL as we come through here often on our travels. Found out membership in NSW can only be used at the club you join up to. It beggars belief the RSL does not have the same rules Australia wide.

We were at the Deniliquin RSL today for lunch and what a disappointment. My husband ordered the ribs, members price $34 and I ordered the Lamb Cutlets, members price $35. When ordering my husband requested the lamb cutlets to not be burnt. A good chef would not immerse crumbed cutlets into a deep fryer, but alas guess what, they were done to death nd burnt, and for $35 I received 3 cutlets that were terrible I managed to eat 1 as I was hungry. The description on the menu sounded good, served with mash potato and wilted spinach. The mash potato was of the frozen variety and terrible, the wilted spinach was long ago wilted and inedible as it was soooo salty. When the cutlets arrived at the table my husband said he was glad he requested them not burnt to which Charli replied "that's the way they come". Absolutely not good enough...when she put in the request to the kitchen they should have said they could not do. My husband's ribs were OK but normally they fall off the bone, these were dry and chewy. Suffice to say we will not be dining there again.

The kitchen closed at 2.00 pm and the cooks, I would not call them chefs, left. We were going to complain to Charli (mind you not her fault) when she cleared our dishes but she did not venture out of the kitchen until after we left the dining area as I am sure she knew we were not pleased.

If you want a good meal in Deni do not go to the RSL.

Had lunch Sunday with family. The lady at reception was very rude.
Totally disorganised bistro staff. Such a big seating capacity but no diners. Lunch was pretty ordinary. Deni has an amazing RSL Club, but unfortunately no one seems to use the facilities. Is there a management problem? Give them a pass next time i visit.

I wish I could leave 0 stars!! Worst reception by staff all around. No direction by staff one you've checked in, but once your past there, if you could find any staff to show you where to go, there was food on the chair they told us to sit at! Peas and corn, no care given when we asked them to clean it up. Bar staff David was the last straw, he was too busy watching TV more interested in watching than serving, was rude to myself and my children when we asked about options! Then asked about wine options he was rude and ignorant, and then insulted my child by saying he would never know what he was ever going to choose so don't bother. Worst customer service I've received!

The bus is fantastic great lady who is so nice!
But yes there is a but .... So sad from our last experience here... The staff member David from the main bar was not so excited to be there tonight... A little off to me.... But to my family who went up after us he was extremely rude, even heard talking across the bar while another staff member was serving my family towards my family members what was said would shock you... And we all left 9 members and a Veteran within this family ... I will advocate for all veterans to stay away from the bar person David.

Great place. Sooo! Slow. Old mate who manages the bar needs to go home. Love the people and food. Slow. 3 stars is now 2. Both experiences are soo! Slow.

Club is nice. Bar staff need more experience mixing drinks. Buffet was a disappointing offering of Christmas leftovers.

Thank you for the beautiful Xmas lunch, the food was outstanding and the service awesome. The management went to so much trouble to make the day feel special. A special thanks to staff, amazing chefs and in particular the pastry chef who is an absolutely talent.

Joined the busy holiday makers in Tuesday trivia night. Lots of fun to be had and great staff. The food was as expected, although there were so many parmie options - amazing.Unfortunately, only one real vegetarian option and the bowl of stir fried noodles was small and overpriced!

Service was great. Food was great and very reasonably priced. Our luck was out with the poker machines but we still had a good night there.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Great Parma. Had the one with prawns and avocado, want it again and again. Staff friendly and we won a meat tray in the raffle. All in all fabulous night. Thanks Deni RSL, we'll be back soon.

Absolutely delish roast beef.$11 small serve. Yummo. Really tasty garlic bread too. Very friendly staff. helpful and pleasant.
