Denman Bowling Club - Club in Denman New South Wales

Friday night 13th June arrived at this Club for some takeaway dinner. We arrived just before 6.00pm where only approx 5 people where sitting near the bar area. We ordered our food at just after 6.00pm and waited and waited. 1 and half hours later we asked how much longer as we had kids and our 2 furbabies in the car waiting. We were told ours was next . In this time many orders went out and orders taken after us but got theirs before us. Got to say the chicken snitzel was so small and second rate along with the horrible chips. The other meals were Thai and were not great at all. This was our first visit to Denman and the Denman Bowling Club we will never go back.

Friday night, ordered our meals around 6:45pm. Noticed that meals were coming out of the kitchen very slowly. Finally got our main meals around 9-9:30pm, and the kitchen had even stuffed up our orders. Nearly a 3 hour wait for food even on a Friday night is beyond ridiculous.
To make matters worse, when I received my 'chicken schnitzel' the salad had a spider in it (alive) which crawled out from the leaves.
Took the meal back, I am only giving 1 star because I got a refund for both of our meals.
Absolutely appalling, we will not be going back here again.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a competition at this club and not only came close to winning, the club won my heart. From entering this venue I was welcomed like a celebrity (not really, but it felt like it). I was impressed with the toilet facilities and the hot chips and curried sausages. The management here are doing a terrific job and the steak sandwhich was amazing. They obviously use local butcher and fresh meat. A special mention goes to Sally, who not only saw me drop my half pint but replaced it free of charge. Can't wait to come back!
