Bistro didnt seem too happy when we walked in. Man couldn't hear me over his airpods in.

Lovely little town to visit went to Dora creek workers club for a $5.50 beer all day dont have to be a member and a Chinese meal so cheap they also have a bowls green

We were a party of 12 last Wednesday night. We had not booked as it was a last minute decision. We ordered mainly from the Chinese dinner menu. Everyone agree that the food was totally delicious and plentiful. The staff were excellent. Overall a lovely evening and we are looking forward to next time.

So friendly it's a home away from home with friendly companions and lovely staff. Eat, drink, play, watch big screen TV, sports and community groups and courtesy bus. Thank you!

Ordered take away from the Chinese restaurant- was told over the phone it "won't be long" so 15 minutes later we left home to head down. Arrived to pay for the order and realised it had been taken incorrectly, waited a further 25-30 minutes for our order to be corrected while 3 other people with take away orders had also mentioned they've been waiting for a long time- i understand restaurants get busy at times however the young girl at the front counter who is clearly in training was struggling big time and could have used some assistance, instead her coworkers kept piling more and more onto her and not helping in any way at all.

Once we got home we realised that our sides were incorrect despite what the docket we were given said.
Honey chicken was all stuck together and soggy- deep fried beef soggy and unenjoyable.
Fried rice tasted like somebody had used our dish as an ash tray.
There are many better places to order in the local area, we won't be going back.

Why do people rave about this place?
I think they come from a particular demographic.
First off, the fried rice - it tasted how pokies rooms smell. It must've been placed directly under the air freshener.
Secondly, basic menu. I mean, if it works , go for it.
Staff seemed "too busy, too busy" to discuss further.
Unlikely to return.

The night that we visited the Chinese restaurant was banquet night. $14 per person (minimum of 4 people), entrée & meals were delivered promptly and were very tasty.

Gr8t footy club, up swampies, Awesome Bar... I had to giv the Chinese food x2 star.. I use to come here I started notice the crowd is not as busy as use too be. Has their been a change in chef or staff? I did not know u had to Pay for u takeaway containers, 1st time I had to pay for take away.

We come here quite regularly enough to say that the food is good quality, always consistent, FULL of delicious veggies and never skimps on meat. Food always comes out quick even when it's a full house. Highly recommend, good customer service and fairly priced as well.

While not large in footprint it is always popular and the centre of the local community. The staff are always polite and friendly, making it worth a visit.

Had a good live band playing at the time. Also staff was nice.

I was charged 56 $ for my food all I got was special fried rice, sweet and sour pork,and than half hunny chicken and other half was sweet and sour beef and that was it there was someone else with me and she got 4or5conainers and hers was under.so I'm on a pension I really couldn't afford it but I did.sorry but u won't c me back

The best Chinese meal that you could want, spoils you when you eat anywhere else because nothing compares. We eat here once a week. The service is friendly and efficient & I would recommend them highly.

It amazes me that the few 1 star reviews on this Club site have gone unanswered . My got , food hygiene issues about food off used dishes and about other things going on in their club . What the hell !!!!

Don't go here, worst service and food wasn't much better!!!Waiting over an hour for food is absolutely ridiculous. When I questioned where our food was theu said it will be there in 10 mins. 20 mims later I questioned again to be told 10 more minutes and STILL NOTHING!!!!!!Seriously don't waste your time or money going here, it's not worth it!
