Meals ordered, (usually have table service) were left on the serving counter too long and were warm at best when we got them. (Had to pick collect them ourselves). When asked the why, response was we're busy to deliver at the moment. Take my advice and get a buzzer so your meals aren't left going cold. Pretty ordinary service to be honest, and the meals were average.

Worst meal and service ever. So disorganised in the kitchen... people on my table received their meals at different times, even finishing before others had theirs reach the table.
I had the seafood platter which included a sliced seafood stick in batter(cheap takeaway shop food). The fish was God knows what and tasted horrible.
Overall poor effort. Would not recommend.

It's been a few years since I was last here and it has changed a lot. The selection of beer is very limited especially if you like black beer or stout. Just one of each is available.
It was very crowded when we visited but the service was fast and efficient.
We ate upstairs at One7Eight and it was pretty good. I had the striploin and it was cooked to perfection and very tender. My wife had the gnocchi with creme brulee for desert and both were excellent. I had a cheese platter that could have been better.
Overall it isn't as good as it once was but still worth a visit if you are staying close by.

Visited recently for a family dinner. Very modern club, the staff at reception were fantastic. Atmosphere was typical of a RSL club. Food was good but service was a little lacking. Some meals were forgotten and had to follow up twice to get them. Other than that, was a good visit.

Worst roast beef meal experienced in many years... old potato's that couldn't be cut, funky cauliflower, a single green bean and left under heat lamps for 30 minutes until I asked for it... beef was great if you like air dried jerky

Free Elvis tribute artist was excellent fun. Great acoustics, comfy seats and spacious dance floor.... plus great garli pizza and reasonable prices for drinks. Very welcoming for kids too.

First time going out in years for a meal and I got served a live caterpillar on my salad. The fact they didn't see it when it was on top of the salad shows the quality of the meal. Won't be going there for a meal again.

Staff need better training by management. First couldn't print my card. Come back to get card today and they have to look for ever through a book to verify I paid the $5.50. Had a good meal but when walking out I had a little bit of coke left in a can. The lady told me to stop I can't take a can of coke with me. When I asked why politely she just told me it was the law. Would like to know what law it is you can't leave with half of can of coke after having a meal. Anyway staff need better training and learn it's the hospitality industry.

I hate (I mean really hate) giving an RSL a dud review. But Dubbo RSL I am sorry, you earned this.

I was passing through town overnight and decided I couldn't go wrong with the local RSL bistro. I was wrong. In sheep heartland the lamb chop in my mixed grill must have been transported from Brazil. The Lamb roast my partner had was worse. I mean seriously, how do you screw up a lamb roast to the point of being inedible. And she couldn't even fall back on the veggies as the beans had been boiled to death, the pumpkin was milliseconds short of being pureed and the single quarter of roast potato must have been leftover from yesterday. Meanwhile back on my mixed grill the steak was from part of a cow I'd never seen before and hope to never see again. The sausage was ok and the tomato saw a second or two of grilling but the egg saw a full 15 minutes of frying on both sides. Seriously, this was the worst RSL meal I've ever seen or heard of. I had better meals in the Navy after 60 days at sea!

We attended on a Sunday as visitors, mainly for a meal at the bistro and hopefully a good coffee. Unfortunately both of the coffee shops were closed even though a sign on the one adjacent to the bistro said it was open 7 days from 12 noon. We both had a reasonably priced roast of the day which happened to be beef with vegetables. The beef was poor quality, stringy and full of fat. The vegetables were cold and consisted mainly of burnt cauliflower with only one tiny piece of potato and a couple of beans. It's a large club with lots of parking and tables. But the day we were there anyway there was zero atmosphere. All in all a very disappointing experience compared to a wonderful visit to the Bathurst RSL a few weeks back. Cannot recommend.

Came in for dinner, bistro had a 30 minute wait, had to flag a worker to clean a table as they were all dirty. Place smelt like it hadn't been cleaned in years, went to bar in pokies only to have the bar staff walk away from us, stood there for a few minutes and a young guy finally asked what we wanted.
They had raffles on and the lady sounded so boring and just kept reading random numbers out.
When our food arrived the garlic and cheese bread was cold, wedges cold and sauces were terrible. Scotch fillet steak was full of fat, worst $32 I could have spent:
Overall a very unpleasant experience. Won't be coming back here. Dubbo is definitely not a place for people use to coastal or city areas..

After a 40 minute wait for food we went to the counter to ask why our food was taking so long. We were told our buzzer must be faulty. We saw our meals on the counter and we were offered them - they were lukewarm. We asked how long the food been sitting there for the answer we got was an offer to warm the meals up in the microwave. How bad is that! Eventually we were offered freshly cooked meals to find out they had no more roast beef left. So I agreed to the roast pork. Meals were disappointing when we finally got them - roast meat was dry, as was the burger. The roast dinner was a pathetic excuse of a roast - neither potatoes or carrots were roasted!

The entire situation was poorly managed by the bistro staff and ultimately it was a waste of money for us.

The one star rating is for the free kids ice cream and soft drink. I don't recommend this place. We could see many tables around us were having issues with their meals too.

We were there for the Jason Owen concert. We had a great meal being Roast of the day and a few drinks. Overall we enjoyed our evening immensely and I recommend this venue without reservation.

In the bistro the Chips arrived cold and under cooked, 2 extra mushroom sauces never arrived( the mushroom sauce that arrived with the steak didn't have any mushroom taste to it anyway). When we asked the staff to let the chef know all we got was "sorry about that". Ended up getting a refund for the extra sauce but whoever it was that came to authorise the refunded didn't want anything to do with it and didn't even look at me to say sorry and walked off as quick as she could. 2 starts because the burger and steak was good and the bar staff were excellent. I would've stayed for another drink or 2 but I was too annoyed by the bistro.

Cafe food excellent, staff very friendly, beer nice and cold but no luck with the meat raffle.

I attended a work conference here and the facilities were well set out. The staff were very accommodating particularly at morning tea when they adjusted for our underestimate of the number of people attending. The staff went out of their way to assist wherever needed.

Absolutely a huge RSL club with plenty of parking but no atmosphere. We dined in the bistro where the meals were excellent but the dining area lacked character and to be honest the food courts in supermarkets would be more preferable. It is certainly not the restaurant to go for a romantic meal with your partner or to celebrate a birthday as we did. The staff however, were great as was the courtesy bus service and driver.

Great meals for all family, couple cold beers and some wine, fast and friendly service.

Standards typical of most RSL facilities, great value for money, clean and very welcoming.

Massive lines at the bistro and bar. Hubby waiting in line most of the night. Took close to an hour to get dinner and the pasta was cold. Told the waitress and she took it back to microwave it otherwise I'd "be waiting a while to have it recooked". The only positive was the kids play area. Surprised you had to pay but it was supervised. Won't bother returning.

Deserted ghost town. Bistro opened at 6pm. There was a queue of 20 lined up to order what can only be described as slop. The veggies raw, the roast stone cold. The ridiculous 1970's wine glasses just aweful. The patrons well I've not seen anything like it. We love supporting RSL clubs but you couldn't pay me to set foot in there again. We left it untouched. There's no excuse for this. So disappointed

I thought I could get a decent steak in the country, well I was wrong. I ordered a scotch fillet medium rare. It was a tiny piece, chewy like rubber with zero flavour. The potato bake tasted rotten and was cold. I only came here because the Old Bank, where the food is amazing, was closed being a Monday night. Also, the staff are either not well trained or have no idea about customer service. Avoid this place!

Called in at 2.30pm on a Monday. Absolute ghost town. Bistro shut till 6pm, coffe shop shut. Asked about pizzas, hmm might be open not sure so only food to buy was chips in machine. Don't bother calling in unless it's at a meal time. Bar staff not interested. Should have read reviews prior. Seems management are day dreaming as numerous poor reviews. Decent enough food...you can always rely on an RSL for decent value drinks and eats. Otherwise the place is much more of a gaming centre than any other RSL I've been to. Good way to squeeze as much cash as possible out of the old folks before they cark it eh?

Good pub feed with table service in the bistro.Has a play are for the kids but they charge a fee starting at $5 and $1 for each sibling which seemed a bit much.Entrance is around the back of the building.Good staff, would go back again
