We went to the Fawkner RSL for the first time on the 6th of July for my husbands birthday while visiting our daughter.
The staff there were amazing, ļthe lovely lady that was taking the meal orders.
She was so helpful with us taking our orders and arranging to have a meal special made up for my husband. She went above and beyond for us. She is such a treasure to your RSL . The chef was also very helpful. The bar staff were also very friendly . You have a great staff at your RSL. I hope you see this comment and share it with your staff. We will be back next time we are in FawknðŸ'¯

We had lunch on Saturday in the newly renovated club. Fisherman's catch & Home made rissoles & mash, both meals where excellent with very cold ale's from the pleasant staff in both kitchen & bar areas. Well worth it. Totally enjoyed. Will be back for more

Fully refurbished and now a proper venue. Tab section is excellent and the staff and patrons are most welcoming

Went to the RSL about 3 weeks with family and friends for tea we haven't been there for years but we heard the the place had pickup its game as far as the food was concerned but you know what nothing has change the entrees came out with the mains my main i had to wait chicken schnitzel with chips and salad with gravey on the side so my main come with gravey all over it and the schnitzel was as white as white i don't think it even seen a frypan must have been zapped in the microwave i didn't eat it of course let the staff now about it i won't be back with either family or friends .What so hard in making a chicken schnitzel

My step father John Harrop worked there as a barman 45 years ago .
We were both members also of the Fawkner RSL Anglers Club, fond memories.

Smaller-sized club in terms of membership on a decent-sized premises with ample parking. The forecourt has a basic memorial and a Quick Firing (QF) 40mm Anti-Aircraft (AA) Canadian-made Bristol Bofors gun, the details of which are:
- Barrel L/60 MkI No.L/53239 manufactured 1943 by what appears to be "GL", unknown breech-ring and autoloader, Breech Casing MkXII No.8000 manufactured 1942 by Otis Fensom Elevator Works, Canada (OFE/C) on mounting MkXII No.12116 manufactured 1942 by OFE/C and platform (carriage assembly missing) MkXII No.P-10577 manufactured 1942 by OFE/C.

Other examples of Bristol Bofors can be found at the RSL clubs of Pascoe Vale, Keilor East, and Watsonia but none of those guns are as well preserved in terms of visible marks as this one.

Staff at club were friendly and more than happy for visitors to photograph the gun so long as it is respected.

Great family friendly venue (kids eat free with an adult meal -bonus!!) Staff are friendly and efficient, manager is great, very relaxed atmosphere with nice regulars. In my opinion food is much better than other local venues, and more reasonably priced. Beer on tap is also great, another thing they do better than other local venues. Highly recommend karaoke night, it is a cracker.
