The worst Chinese smorgasbord we have ever eaten. $39 per person was a total rip off. The prawns were thawed Vietnamese prawns, tough and tastless. Mini Crumbed prawn cutlets were raw. The issues are endless. It was slop on a plate. Eight of us spent $312 for food and eight of us said we would never eat at that Chinese restaurant again.

Visitors having lunch, thank you for the excellent service & the meals were 10 out of 10, had the best perfectly cooked salt & pepper squid & crumbed cutlets perfectly cooked. Shout out to the chefs/cooks in the kitchen. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. Great staff, so friendly and accommodating, second to none. I recommend anyone to visit here for a feed or a drink or watch the footy. Staff waited for my footy match to finish to close then drove me back to my hotel on the courtesy bus. Will be back in a heartbeat. This place is unreal, big thanks to Forster Bowling Club, great place.

The Club is really nice, the staff are super friendly. Cheap drinks and the food at the Strand Bar and Grill is excellent so tasty and delicious. DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT. However the "All you can eat buffet is not nice at all. Over cooked, no taste and unbelievably noisy. Would NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Went twice while visiting Forster, 1st time ordered meals all lovely though the woman at the food counter a tad sarcastic and abrupt,.. Guess we all have bad days, 2nd time we tried the all u can eat, was taken back by the variety and amount of food, much was very nice, it's rather hectic and noisy so a quiet couple meal it's not. Enjoyed what we had but wouldn't do again, would opt for the ordered individual meals. Nice club

We had dinner at the club a couple of nights ago, and strongly recommend the food there. We did book and I'm glad we did because it got so very busy. The dining room was extremely clean modern and well set out. The food was lovely and plenty of it, a huge variety of hot and cold foods and sweets to die for and the seafood is a must. We will definitely eat there again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Staff were helpful and friendly.

All you can eat buffet was nothing short of disgusting. A far cry from the beautiful food it used to be when it was situated out the front. Now you have to walk your kids past the drinking areas to share toilets with the club patrons. Very awkward to get to some foods. Definitely a never go back from me thanks. Pity as it was so good and been going since 2005. I somehow doubt it will be there for much longer. Well the coffee and some of the deserts were nice at the very least. Unfortunately it's very bad value for money.

Very friendly staff, excellent morning coffee. I was happy to see gluten free options for our morning tea and the mango macadamia cheese cake is very nice. In the morning it's a great place to bring a friend to chat as it's not noisy at all. For elderly,immuno compromised and disability clients the interior is excellent as the ambient temperature is perfect and the chairs are of a good standard for most clients. Parking was easy and plentiful at this time. For a quiet place to relax in the morning I would recommend this business and of course their busier lunch and dinner times are excellent. I've never had bad service at this club. Bravo.

Lunch from The Strand Bar & Grill within Forster Bowling Club Easter Saturday: very good.
All staff courteous, helpful: good service! Nice long main bar with plenty tap beers & drink options, nice chai latte from the small cafe, good-looking sports area with plenty of TVs around the place showing various sports.
Large chicken schnitzel with nice Diane sauce tasted good, as did the John Dory fish - keen to try other menu options & the current iteration of the Eastern Tiger buffet restaurant sometime too, most of which looks reasonably-priced.

Very good for families, I love the all you can eat buffet ? very good presentation and clean establishment, friendly staff, the manager interacting well with diners.

Talk about bang for buck ! We ordered a house schnitty and chicken caesar salad and to be honest we could have just shared the schnitty as it was massive ! The bar had a couple of good wines to go with the meal.great place to watch sport while having dinners as well as there are large screens everywhere

Worst buffet experience I've ever had

It was unreasonably expensive ($31) even for a 13 year old child. The food was mediocre at best, the Greek salad comprising of predominantly cucumber and nothing else. The Caesar salad was completely drenched in cheap mayonnaise and the lettuce was soggy. The jelly was impressively firm and chewy and seemed to be more gelatin than sugar. The chips couldn't have been anymore salty. The honey chicken was decent though. Soft drinks weren't included and you had to pay extra in order to access to soda machine.

All in all terrible buffet experience and most certainly will not be returning to this establishment. I highly recommend to look elsewhere if you are looking for somewhere to eat.

A very modern bowling club with an all-you-can-eat buffet with a good selection of Chinese style food such as dumplings, dim sims, Mongolians lamb and more, also includes cooked whole prawns. There is also a bistro with very good meals at reasonable prices. Their lamb cutlets are amazing and very fairly priced.

Great selection at all you can eat for dinner, clean building with polite staff. And lovely atmosphere with plenty of laughter and lively chatter surrounding.

Modern club, effectively two large rooms. Eastern dragon should missed. Strong covid rules must patrons complying. Rather typical.

Absolutely love it. Kenden and Emily are fantastic as are the rest of the staff.
Lou and his kitchen staff were brilliant and the food best in the two towns.

The meal was fantastic we were there right near the end of service so it wasn't the hottest but that was our doing we were late will most certainly go back $19 for a member and senior buffet loads of choice lovely staff next time we will get there earlier

A little sampler plate of the all you can eat meal. As you can see I'm a seafood lover and quite fussy. All food was at a good temperature. Many different dishes to choose from. Staff were attentive with refilling the buffet, taking empty plates away quickly and great service in general. Highly recommend. Only warning is wear loose fitting clothes for the expanding waist. No one would walk away hungry.

Eastern Tiger buffet was good and all food was delicious, however, there could be a larger selection of dishes available. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner though and would return again.

With the change I and my young family really enjoy getting to try a variety of meals for one price. Not the dinning experience for everyone but a relaxed evening for those of us that do.

All you can eat menu but because of covid, not a fan. The staff were lovely but got to choose your food for you by ticking a card. My last plate of fresh fruit pieces past the due date, If I knew it was like that I would have not gone there.

The club was very clean, staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was very good, I'll be back.
