Had dinner with Family at the RSL last night. Highly recommend ??'? the meals were great value and very generous/large. For children advice sharing adult meal. Again highly recommend ?

Went for lunch. Friendly staff, big meals, nice and hot when it arrived. They clear the tables quickly as people go. Nothing worse walking into a eatery with dirty place still on the table after the people have left. ?

at a moments notice they pulled the Australian Celtic festival together after a rainout at The Standing Stones and did it real justice! The music played all day into the night, the bar staff danced along, the celtic food was fabulous and they are the best!

The meals are huge and very well cooked. Great staff and fast service with a smile. Well worth the price.

We were staying at the Glen Rest caravan park and noticed a free shuttle bus to the Glen Innes District Services Club. We caught the bus, had a friendly driver and had the same friendly service at the club. Excellent meals, good prices and cheap drinks. Well worth a visit! We caught the shuttle bus back to the park, after dropping off the friendly locals to their homes! Was a top night!

Had the $28 porterhouse with mash, veg and cream garlic sauce. Veg tossed in butter, mash creamy and delicious. Sauce amazing!! Steak really good for the price. Highly recommend . Reasonable wait time . From someone who works in a restaurant and has high food standards

We had dinner here on Saturday night. The service from Katrina in the restaurant was great. She was very friendly and helpful.
Service from the barman was also good.
Both meals had very generous serves and were delicious. Hubby had chicken schnitzel & I had the grilled lemon chicken. Prices were not high.
We would definitely recommend a meal at this club.

Roast of the day was delicious and a good-sized serving. The other meals that came out looked great as well. Nothing looked miserly or overpriced, which happens far too often these days; even in local pubs.

The live band was good.
Staff looked sad and grumpy.
Beer didn't taste right.
Don't think its worth going back there.

Great venue- welcoming and well run. We visited during the Celtic Festival and they manage the crowds well providing good food and outstanding entertainment.

We go every Friday for meat raffles and every time the food has been awful. Food is usually cold and tonight some of our chicken nuggets were green on the inside and smelt terrible. Generally awful service. (food took so long mine had to come in a takeaway box)

Glen Innes an hour north of Armidale is a gorgeous New England town with parks and grand old buildings

We made a reservation and there was no table reserved for us - we had to wait whilst one was reset.
We waited so long for service that we had to ask a waitress to take our order.
There is a whole page in the menu stating to advise staff of allergies so that they can be accommodated - this is redundant as one of our party could not eat at all, not due to the menu options but due to staff being unwilling to make simple changes.
They "ran out" of steak and when asked what else was gluten free, we were told "salmon". When we enquired what sauces were gluten and dairy free, we were told "gravy". Who would want gravy with salmon?!
The restaurant staff were very rude.
The manager - who has no control over or respect from his staff - had to be called to remove the steaks (that were unavailable) from our bill AND he had to be reminded that we didn't end up getting the steaks we ordered.
When we complained about the attitude of the staff, the manager made excuses for them and even disclosed some private medical information of one staff member in a bid to excuse their behaviour. Another staff member raised her voice repeatedly and had to be asked repeatedly by the manager to calm down - she ignored him and continued to yell anyway and when one of our party asked her directly "Please don't speak to me like that" the manager tried to admonish the member of our party WHO WAS PAYING FOR OUR MEAL for asking the staff member not to raise her voice!
Every meal was wrong except one.
We were absolutely disgusted and will not return.

Stopped in to put a few bets on & had a nice cold beer whilst here. Price of the beer was exceptional as was the service. Will definitely visit again.

Although the food was well cooked and tasty it's a bit of a let down when the menu says "pork cutlets" and one tiny cutlet comes out, balanced on the top of the mashed potato.

Two of us go for tea and they could not get our order right and when main came out for second time it was cold and the waitress didn't care.
And to try and get served a drink in the restaurant bar was hopeless.
I would hate to see the service in this place if it was busy, not happy with this place at all, l'm glad to be passing through.

This place is amazing, super clean and friendly staff. The meals were excellent. Highly recommend.

The staff are all lovely,the RSL itself is immaculate and the meals were very good value for the price. Drinks were also cheaper than most clubs we've been to.

We ordered 2 Rump steaks and veg $30 each!! The meals on first look were massive. But the meat was of poor quality, very chewy and fatty. See pic. No seasoning on meat or sauce. Obviously been grilled on one side and put under grill on the other. Very disappointing meal. I'm sorry but I won't be back to eat. Beers were a good price.

Had a great surprise when visiting the services club. Our dinner was great & service from all the staff was first class. I will go back next time I'm in town.

Disappointing birthday dinner. Decor plain and no table service.My husband ordered brains as centre and enjoyed them whilst I had very ordinary garlic prawns.Mains for me PPP chicken which was pumpkin, parmesan and pistachio filling in kiev style breast. Very dry and overcooked, my husband had pork strips which were good.Nothing doing at club, dull place. Bus driver however was courteous and helpful.Not our favourite place.

Great atmosphere. . .lovely professional staff . . And a curtsey bus that leaves every half hour. . .meals were great. . Highly recommend. . Thank you for a great night

I ate in the dinning room Sunday night only 1 person on duty and she did a great job, my problem is when you pay $30 for a steak and the chef can't deliver it do you stand up and complain or just cop it and move on. The chips and salad were ordinary The venue is a credit to the community so get a chef who can cook

Service was excellent but only one person taking orders. A little slow. Food was great

A busy place on the night we visited (having a charity fundraiser) but the restaurant area was quiet and tables well spread out. The meals were excellent (better than usual Bistro fare) served with veges, chips or delicious potato bake. Worthwhile.

the rsl provides mini bus and a welcoming club, fabulous menu, wide selections, easy going relaxing atmosphere, and drink orders at your table via "push for service " button, happy to do split bills , food and service amazing, highly recommend
