Goulburn Workers Club

Food was acceptable, for a club. Prices are ok but definitely not cheap, membership would certainly save you here. The strongly advertised $6 schooner turned out to be basically double that, $11. \"Oh it\'s not for Stone and Wood and you have to be a member\". Correct, you have to be a member, that\'s some pretty small print though.
My co-worker who only had a cola was served with a cracked glass and cut his lip. His chicken schnitzel which was north of $35 was verging on pink in the middle and of quite average quality.
Restaurant packed with pensioners on a Tuesday evening, so they\'re doing something right, although I didn\'t see it
Staff were majority very polite and well presented.

The meal was ok but the sauces tasted like they came out of a packet. How can you serve an expensive steak with a packet mix/caterers blend sauce????? A late 1900's club used to serve that up, get with the times! Gravy masquerading as Diane Sauce.... disgusting and cheap and nasty

First off this is a must visit if you are coming through Goulburn! Myself and my co-worker stayed up in Goulburn for work for two weeks, and the service here at Goulburn Workers Club was superb. From the beautiful interior to the many spaces you can dine this place had it all. I would like to especially thank Deborah! For her amazing service to us and making us feel welcome and like a locals while we were there. To top it off the food was delicious and great prices. Also there was always something to do there during week nights as they held bingo, trivia, darts etc all week.

It was alright, but I probably won't return. I went there a couple weeks ago with some family. The lady at the order counter was very nice, we got a nice table that may have needed a clean, we got drinks also and they were nice. When it came to the food, however, it wasn't as good as I expected. The garlic bread was cold, had a big slab of unmelted garlic butter in the middle and the bread was dry. Main meals came shortly after. I got the lemon chicken and it was good, others there got chicken schnitzels, steaks and one got the roast of the day. The meals were all alright. The only big take away I have with this place was how the garlic bread came out.

Burnt steak - horrible customer service

We ordered 2 char-grilled Angus rump steak & received 2 charcoal pieces of steak. I can still taste the burnt bitter after taste in my mouth an hour later.

Complained to the bistro manager and the executive chef. They reckon I don't know how to eat char-grilled steak and assured me that no refund will be given. I didn't even ask for a refund. Unsure if racism was at play (I am Asian) but I had the feeling they thought I was out for a free meal.

Couldn't give a damn about the $60 plus I paid for 2 horrible meals with the complimentary attitude and 0 customer service. I just felt like an idiot trying to argue with a bunch of bigots.

I reserved a piece of the GoulBURNT special as evidence & will be making a complaint to the NSW ombudsman.

On the bright side, the server at the bistro counter & the lady at the entrance were nice. For this reason, you have been given 1 star instead of 0.
