Goulburn Workers Club Club, Goulburn NSW

It was alright, but I probably won't return. I went there a couple weeks ago with some family. The lady at the order counter was very nice, we got a nice table that may have needed a clean, we got drinks also and they were nice. When it came to the food, however, it wasn't as good as I expected. The garlic bread was cold, had a big slab of unmelted garlic butter in the middle and the bread was dry. Main meals came shortly after. I got the lemon chicken and it was good, others there got chicken schnitzels, steaks and one got the roast of the day. The meals were all alright. The only big take away I have with this place was how the garlic bread came out.

Burnt steak - horrible customer service

We ordered 2 char-grilled Angus rump steak & received 2 charcoal pieces of steak. I can still taste the burnt bitter after taste in my mouth an hour later.

Complained to the bistro manager and the executive chef. They reckon I don't know how to eat char-grilled steak and assured me that no refund will be given. I didn't even ask for a refund. Unsure if racism was at play (I am Asian) but I had the feeling they thought I was out for a free meal.

Couldn't give a damn about the $60 plus I paid for 2 horrible meals with the complimentary attitude and 0 customer service. I just felt like an idiot trying to argue with a bunch of bigots.

I reserved a piece of the GoulBURNT special as evidence & will be making a complaint to the NSW ombudsman.

On the bright side, the server at the bistro counter & the lady at the entrance were nice. For this reason, you have been given 1 star instead of 0.

Came here 2 nights in a row, first night I got the "buffalo" wings and barramundi more like cardboard wings I think weetbix and water are closer to buffalo wings than theirs. The Barra was also very average.. Tonight I got the scotch fillet rare with pepper sauce. It came rare but had no flavour, it was chewy and tasted like charcoal. The pepper sauce was less than disappointing also.
Needless to say I will never come back here for food ever again.

Came here for the first time passing through, I have to say....the service is exceptional!!! From the lady at the front entrance to the gentleman taking my order at the bistro area all lovely!!!! Very worthwhile having dinner here. Considering becoming a member as I travel regularly from Sydney to Canberra. $20 steaks on Mondays and Tuesdays!!! Drinks well priced.

Goulburn Workers Club is a friendly, all encompassing retreat for various reasons. I call in each week for lunch and a rest on a long journey. The food is always nutritious, well priced and nourishing. Coffee just the way I like it. And staff are always friendly and helpful. A really good meeting place for the community and visitors.
