Had dinner here last night with my partner. And it was by far the best Chinese cuisine I've had in a very long time. Most of the pubs don't do much food on a Sunday if any.... but this place has no issues having chefs able to work on the weekends. So glad we had dinner here at the Tian restaurant.

Comfortable ambience with delicious dishes, staff are helpful and polite.

Wish I had read reviews before choosing to dine here. On a Sunday night, a large club should be prepared to provide food for diners in a reasonable time. I ordered the sweet corn soup to help stave off my hunger after a long day's travel. After 50 mins, I asked where it was. It came out 10 mins later. It should be renamed corn starch onion soup! It took another 20 mins for my honey chicken on 'rice noodles ' to come, after again asking. There was a spoonful of noodles in a bowl of tough chicken. The staff didn't warn me on arrival of the delay and there were quite a few other diners who were also unhappy. No apology. Never again

The RSL was fine and in a clean and tidy state. The Chinese restaurant was OK however they made a mistake with ouur meals which may have been avoided with more experienced staff in the kitchen and on the floor.

Great Chinese restaurant. Stopped here with my family. After living in Hong Kong for 8 years, we know traditional fare when we find it. And this was great. An unexpected find in the heart of Gundagai. Max the chef introduced himself and the service and friendliness was second to none.

Stopped over at Tian Chinese Restaurant on our family trip between Melbourne and Sydney based on the recent reviews of the changeover from the previous terrible Banjo Restaurant. Glad to say this was an improvement. Special Fried Rice and Wok Fried Noodles were great. Good flavours, nice mixture combinations of meats and prawns. However, Sweet Corn Soup and Dim Sims missed the mark and would not recommend to order. The soup was mainly just corn starch fluid without many ingredients. The Dim Sim texture was watery and soft. Overall, prices were reasonable for a country town,

I am sure on a regular night this is a great club. We went on a public holiday for dinner. The Chinese restaurant, 'Tian' was a 1 hour and 24 minutes wait. If you're okay with that it was a delicious meal that was worth the wait. The food was hot, fresh and extremely tasty. I would highly recommend. Our meal was $60 (San Choy Bow, Mongolian beef and special fried rice)

Had dinner from the cafe. A fair meal for a very fair price, not amazing but would happily do it again if needing to be fed. Overall club has a nice vibe and is what you'd expect - bar, tab, pokies, pool table and band on bigger nights.

Returned to the club tonight for the first time in 12 months. We were extremely pleased to experience the new Tian restaurant with chef Max. Ably assisted by Maddie, Layla and Billie Joe.

Fantastic food and exceptional service. Thanks guys. We'll be back!!

This place is a must if you are traveling
The pricing is very reasonable and the quality of the food itself is second to none.

Staff really friendly. Food was very nice and quick. Played pool watched AFL ( The barman was happy to put the footy on for us ) would go again next time.

Thought I would try the Chinese restaurant. Shouldn't have bothered. Very disorganised seating. Some ordering at window some had table service. Not enough menus. My order was taken at the table 45 minutes later after watching two other tables who ordered after me one had two courses for five people still no sign of my order. Seems you need to place a big order or be a local to get good service. Can't comment on the food I never got to taste it!!

Great meals and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back on our next interstate trip.

Very tidy Services club on the M31 in the town of Gundagai. Modern decor, well run, very friendly staff and a very acceptable Chinese restaurant/dining area that is well supported by both travellers and locals. We had a very enjoyable meal that met our expectations. The specials are not to be missed. Big parking area is a bonus for travelers that may be towing trailers. All up a very happy experience. PK

Bar staff great and friendly but the bistro rates a 2 minus.
On a stinking hot Saturday after attending the local show, no burgers,no pasta,didn't bother asking for the only 3 other items on the rather slim menu.
This was only 12.30 lunch. What were they going to do for the rest of the weekend?
Suggest new caterers before it drags a nice club to it's knees

Some of the best service I have received! Met family there for a dinner. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They really looked after us. They set us up outside so we could have our puppy with us. Amazing! They also gave the pup some snacks so she didn't feel left out! All of the restaurant staff were just so friendly and smiled all the time. Nothing was an effort for them. We are going to do the 2 hour drive more often and come here for dinner more often! Oh and the food was fresh, delicious, well priced and came out quickly!

Had the burger and chicken schnitzel with gravy. I excellent meals and very generous for the price. Highly recommended for value, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.

Our experience at the Gundagai District Services Club could not have been better. We have two children and one adult who cannot eat gluten or dairy and we were concerned about finding somewhere suitable for dinner whilst in Gundagai for the night. From the first phone enquiry through to helping to put together items from the menu that worked for everyone, the service and genuine focus on finding a solution was beyond compare. And that's before you get to the actual food! The food was tasty, filling and very well presented. The chef should be commended not only for the quality of the food but also for his flexibility in adjusting the menu in circumstances where it was genuinely required. Thank you for a wonderful experience all around. We will definitely be back when we next travel through town. :-)

Modern fresh space, this visit was a Wednesday night dinner for 2 the food was delivered to table by happy looking staff bringing large portion of great tasting fresh smelling food.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and watching the locals was hysterical, they were having so much fun. Plus it was the best lasagne Ive ever had! Definitely recommend, well done to everyone.

A very pleasant small club where we experienced great service and had a very nice lunch. We will definitely go there again, when we travel through Gundagai again ... great little town which (even from Canberra) is worth a day trip, or longer.

We were only here briefly for 30 minutes for one drink however the staff were very nice and welcoming and service very good. I am sure if we had stayed longer for a meal, the 5 stars would be appropriate. A very clean, modern decor.

Had meals there over the Easter weekend.The staff were quite friendly and the meal service was great. You did not have to wait long between ordering and eating. Which is always a bonus.

Had lunch on Easter Monday. Steak was fabulous and fish was so so. But overall experience was fabulous. Kitchen pumped out meals in timely fashion. One of the girls (tall one) was fantastic.
