We recently dined in at Raymond's with a group of six. Overall, the experience was decent, but there were some notable highs and lows.
Food Quality:
The food was above average, though not the best I've had. The dishes were fresh and well-prepared, with generous portion sizes - except for the rice. A large fried rice portion, surprisingly, barely sufficed for two people, which seemed stingy considering rice is relatively inexpensive.
Service:
Upon arrival, the service was friendly, and our orders came out quickly. However, the follow-up service was disappointing. We were only able to order one round of drinks when we arrived, and no one checked back to see if we needed anything else. We had to approach the bar ourselves just to get a bottle of water, as the salty dishes left us quite thirsty. After our meal, we were keen to order desert, however, the table was cleared swiftly, and there was no offer for dessert. Despite waiting, we couldn't get anyone's attention to place a desert order. We left a little disappointed with our first experience there.
Overall Impression:
While the dine in experience wasn't satisfactory, I would consider getting takeout from this restaurant, as the food itself was enjoyable. However, given the service issues, I wouldn't choose to eat in again.
