Don't order the cheeseburger!!! For $18 you get meat and cheese only. No sauces, no pickles etc. One of the worst cheeseburgers in Sydney. I'm only giving it one star because the staff were really nice.

Absolutely nothing on the menu to accommodate people with allergies.
And very little to no understanding in the kitchen of what gluten free actually means. Despite asking several times to be sure of what I was ordering, I was served a meal full of gluten and told it was gluten free. I left hungry and frustrated.

Love this Maroubra institution. If you love club rsl food, you will love the food here. It has a variety to choose from quick service at club prices.

Was with a client today and needed to use their toilet. Two ladies looked dumbfounded by the request. Happy to sign in. Instead they made a joint decision to direct us across the road to beach toilets. Which happened to be closed for cleaning. Extremely disappointed as I work in disability sector and will definitely not be returning from the South side

A very delicious meal for not a lot of money so therefore this is a great place to come if you're looking for a great meal but you are budget conscious. It goes to show that you can still get a nice meal without having to bust open the piggy bank. It's in a great location, just across from Maroubra beach and you can go for a lovely walk after your meal. This is your typical little club with the pockies, bingo etc.

What an outstanding lunch experience we had today. First time visiting the club after 40 years. Beautiful and modern interior. Staff friendly and welcoming. Our lunch was grilled Atlantic salmon with veggies and grilled John Dory fillet with scallops chips and salad (one of the daily specials). Both delicious and generous. We were so impressed we joined the club, and look forward to returning soon.

The steam bath was not in full strength/temperature but the rest was ok

The club is serving the stamdard fare. No surprises here. Huge serves and tasty food. Great place for groups or families dining out. On some evenings it can be a bit noisy, but thats what you can expect.
Been here a coulle of times and will be back again next time around.

The food is varied and from what I got, it was okay, though not the best. Being the lamp chops which weren't cooked on high heat so lots of fat. The chip portions is also very small

Great local club with plenty of amenities. The bistro is hit and miss. Sometimes the food is to die for and other times it looks and tastes like it's come from a cheap take away shop. The staff are always lovely and accomodating.

A few days ago I was not well and ended up with my meal in my lap. I was so embarassed but the young waitress helped me clean myself up, cleaned up the table for me and then arranged for me to have a new meal at no cost even though it was my fault. I wish I had gotten her name so I could mention her especially.

I never post bad reviews but unfortunately I feel compelled to rate the bistro food here; it was that bad. The only thing that was acceptable was the kid's spaghetti bolognese. Our steak was supposed to be medium rare but it was well done (and full of gristle). Kids chicken strips were some kind of processed garbage resembling chicken and so bad that my chicken loving 4 year old refused to eat them. Salt and pepper calamari was just crumbed little bits of calamari with next to no flavour but the "piece de resistance" was paying an extra $3.50 for mashed potato which the kitchen staff later admitted was brought in in tubs; packet mix. It had the colour of A4 paper and tasted like chemicals. The most disgusting "potato mash" I've ever eaten. When I pay an extra $3.50 for potato I expect real potatoes mashed with butter and cream, not this chemical rubbish. Yuck. The prices are reasonable but I guess they reflect the quality of the meals. Top it all off, the entire area had a strong perfume smell, likely giving the illusion of extra cleanliness but in reality it's nauseating. Zero interest in coming here ever again

Food is reasonably priced with an interesting selection for every taste! I mainly use the gym which has the best ocean view. Good variety of equipment and an indoor pool and change rooms are reasonably clean but fair go how about cleaning the glass around the pool..
There is only one shared steam room which comes with some hygiene issues - is often crowded and sometimes smells ...like a men's toilet (I kid you not). There are also signs saying not to shave in the steam room (come on ...really) and not to bring any oils in (eucalyptus oil I guessing ... probably used to deaden the smell) with the threat of being banned and asking members to 'dob' on anyone who brings in oils! That doesn't create a good atmosphere! I agree with comments that some staff are not so good with members. Not a place I want to frequent often! Pity!

Absolutely disgusted with the treatment that a friend of mine received at this club. My Aboriginal friend is a bus driver for a charity organisation, and took a group of 12 senior citizens and 2 staff (including himself being staff) to the club for lunch. He was discriminated against and was not being let into the club by the lady at the front. She also told him that there should be 2 staff looking after the seniors and not just one. He explained to her that he had to park the bus and then return to help the seniors and that there were 2 staff looking after them including himself.

He called his supervisor and asked the lady to speak to the supervisor, and this lady refused. His supervisor then called the lady at the club to discuss the issues and ask to speak to her manager, and she was hung up on abruptly and rudely.

I would never recommend this club to anyone, unless this staff member has been removed from the front.

My friend felt that he was targeted due to his ethnicity, that she was rude and abrupt and not accountable for her terrible customer service. It made him feel terrible. It was a quiet day there and this group of seniors and staff spent a lot of money at the club that day. They should have been grateful that they were even there considering how quiet it was. With an attitude like that, I am not surprised how quiet it was.

We come here every special occasion as family with kids, grandparents and all. NYE we went out to get Christmas gifts for the kids only to be refused re-entry by the most rude security guard ever. My heavily pregnant wife and I were stuck outside and had to leave without saying goodbye to the family. Disgusting behaviour by the security guard. At least have the decency to have a conversation instead of being a jerk to the pregnant lady. I appreciate it closed at 10 but we could have been told that on the way out... it was 9:55 anyways. Regardless, manners would be appreciated.

Not impressed with the bistro. Meals came out at different times so I finished my meal before my family received theirs. Waited close to 45 mins for meals. Obviously mismanaged kitchen. Staff didn't clear tables after people left, saw lots of tables with dishes. First time going there and last time for me. No one to greet you at door like other clubs. I don't live in the area and certainly won't be traveling back there. Food was mediocre for the price you pay.

Love the view, good lunch specials each day. Portions getting smaller over time but still good value overall.

I was at the club with my daughter on Sunday for dinner I had a seafood basket and a garlic bread cost $29.40 plus 2 beers and a fire engine drink cost $17.00, total cost $46.40 very expensive for a club and there is no salt and pepper on the tables you have to get up and ask for it, very uncomfortable place to eat, it looks like a vulgar shopping centre food court. I would not recommend it

Terrible food. Literally go anywhere else. Its been renovated inside but the food is sub par. "Asian temptation menu" was very 90s inspired basic and depressing. Not even that cheap.

Make sure u join the membership so u get discount at the bistro. Prices are fair considering the location and how busy they are on the weekends. The weekday specials otherwise are very budget friendly.

Great local club right at the fantastic Maroubra Beach. Big club with lots to do. Gym, bars, pokies, bands, bingo, club events, go for a surf then pop into the club for an excellent lunch. Great views of Maroubra Beach while you eat. Friendly staff and great beach locals. Go there for a good time.

Another one of my local clubs in Maroubra. Cheap asian and australian cuisine, again, very generous & tasty servings. Booking for a big group is a must, if you would like to secure a table/tables next to the window, overlooking Maroubra Beach. A nice and friendly place to chill out, depending on your preference - sports bar, gaming room, dining room, gym, swimming pool, playing bingo, attending the weekly meat raffles or just watching a show or listening to music. Most of all, friendly staff & free parking.

Had a great night on Monday for my sister-in-laws birthday with my mum myself and Ann the birthday girl. Great food, wine and company. The seals is a great club any night. Cheers Peita
