Food took 50 minutes. Was not heated properly. Couldn't recognise any prawn in the prawn cutlets, satay was way too spicy. Couldn't eat any of it.

Quaint little RSL in the heart of town.
In the back of the establishment is an Asian run kitchen with a wide selection of cuisines. I picked the Aussie favourite... Sweet n sour pork!!! ? And yes, they delivered a bloody nice dish! Pleasantly surprised. Who woulda thunk it! Don't be scared or apprehensive, I'm sure everything is pretty good.

I have been coming here for over three years now and I have never been so disgusted the snitzel was oily and made me feel sick don't get me started on the salad don't expect me to come back ever again I am throughly disgusted

We free-camped out the back of the club. The area was well kept.
The club unfortunately was closed so we had to wander further to find somewhere to eat. I understand covid has wrecked so many businesses when they can no longer get staff.

Excellent feed had fish chips and salad was awesome filled me up with a few beers during happy hour will end back there again

I had dinner there on Saturday 5th August.
Had LARGE Sirloin Steak, Chips & Veg's ; Broccoli, Carrots, Pea's & Corn. Large Plate with Very Large Portions, Heaped Up,,,
Falling Off The Plate... Steak was Cooked Just The Way I Asked. EVERYTHING ON MY PLATE WAS COOKED TO PP" PERFECTION FOR ME !!!

Before I saw my Meal, i thought. A Bit Pricey at $41:00.
i just wished i lived closer, so i could have taken half home for Sunday night.

Meal was good but in no way was it cheap

Posting on behalf of someone else,

The menu says all meals served with chips and salad OR mash and veg. We got 4 meals that turned up with chips only (when the menu stated chips and salad OR mash and vegetables which is pretry standard). We asked for a salad to only be told you only get what you order, 'how were we to know you wanted a salad?'. I said there are only 2 options 6 times but something didn't compute. That said the young staff were lovely and were essentially blamed by the older lady running the kitchen for getting the order wrong which is unfair. Got me thinking after that, and i ensured i asked for a glass with my beer. On the positive side will give us a good laugh for future catchups with friends. Merriwa is a lovely town with lots of great people. Won't let this tarnish it

Enjoyed my steak. It was busy night with rodeo on and young staff coped well. Recomend

Worst ever pub. I was staying locally. I ordered 2 pizzas and I regret it. I ordered 2 supreme pizzas (which had chicken loaf on it and cheese slices). After eating it I was in Merriwa hospital for 2 days, then I was transferred to Hamilton hospital for 2 weeks after with bad food poisoning. If you wanna eat here I recommend book some time off after.

Food was ok, bit salty, size of meals was good. Not much to choose from .

RV parking out back, turn onto side street and into alley. Always great to visit RSL as they have great food.

Passing through Merriwa on a Saturday night and I need a meal. I order a $16 pizza and pay for it with a drink while I'm waiting. A frozen plastic wrapped pizza is what I'm having?
Are you serious? Can you at least tell customers that they are not freshly made and are probably a Coles or Woolies frozen budget item.
Very disappointed when most people in the place where enjoying what looked like a descent roast meal.

No matter what day, you are sure to feel welcome here. There is a much more inviting atmosphere and personability at the merriwa RSL and I highly recommend it for all travelling the golden highway.

Well priced meals and a warm atmosphere. Parked in the paddock out the back which has good access through the back door. Recommended

The Merriwa RSL has the best bistro in town by far. Meals are affordable. Servings are generous. Highly recommend the mushroom gravy. The rich and delicious flavour compliments your steak/schnitzel and chips extremely well. Salad serves are generous and not just mixed lettuce leaves.

Probably the worst meal I've had in sometime. My first time at the Merriwa RSL Club.You visit small communities to support them and expecting a great country steak instead pay $27 for an overcooked steak tough as bootleather about the size of a cigarette packet served with about 50c worth of chips. No salad no veggies. No wonder they closed the restaurant counter shutters when we picked up our food. Simply woeful my dog would have done it tough to chew it. I would expect this quality food at a soup kitchen not a country club. Sorry but I wont dine there ever again and would not recommend this venue for food. You all know how I feel you go to a restaurant and pay overs for a sub standard meal. I challenge the cook and there integrity serving this quality food. Great little club, very generous, cheap meals. Free camping (with toilets and showers inside the club) they like you to have a drink or a meal in exchange

Great parking out back on a grassy dont worry about it being brown! No bindis so the hounds can have a run around. Locals are really friendly and great local produce shop. Good stop for the short run home to Newy or first stop on your way up north

Fabulous stay at free camp and lovely afternoon at club most recommended.

Friendly staff, nice meals, free snooker. Free camped in the paddock which was convenient.

Our pizza was just a tiny bit over cooked... NOT the whole crust was burnt and some of the meat turned into dry kangaroo/charco.
