As visitors in town we came here as a group of 11 and were greeted with extremely friendly service upon entry. All meals bar one were well received with the recipient of the scotch saying it was a bit tough and fatty. As a veggie hater the broccoli was seasoned beautifully and even the tartar sauce that came with my fish, that I normally would avoid, tasted more like an aioli, was finished up by myself and my son on his chips. We were there for about 2 hours and our table wasn\'t cleared of any glasses or dishes the entire time. The \"Kids Club\" was fantastic. Kids over 5 have to be signed in and out by an adult but can be left with staff supervision, and under 5s can go in with an accompanying adult. It was great as all the adults took a turn staying with the little ones and I did colouring with the kids! My understanding is that the kids room is fairly new, perhaps 5 weeks old, so everything in there is clean and tidy with all games and controllers working properly (which is uncommon in older pubs/clubs). The lady in the kids room was also really friendly with us all, and took the time to have a nice conversation with my dad who was sitting with the kids. The \"Frinkles\"? ice cream bar was a hit with both adults and kids also. Overall a very nice evening. Edited to add, there also looks like a small outdoor play area consisting of at least a teepee, slide, and rocks to climb and explore but as it was hot the kids didn\'t get a chance to try it out, but looks like a nice little spot for kids to burn energy.
