An unfortunate experience at your bistro last night. We had a table of 20+ odd people, I ordered an entree which I didn't receive, in fact the wait staff delivered it to the wrong table in our party. (The correct table number was given when I ordered)
I asked about the missing food on three separate occassions, I was not offered for it to be sent out or a refund either - mind you I had already eaten my main meal by the time the staff finally addressed the issue.
The response of "we'd like to offer you a drink considering the mix up wasn't on our side" is not really acceptable in my opinion, especially when the waitstaff, Madi stated she remembered me ordering the entree when telling me this was all they could offer me as a remedy for their mistake.
I do not think it is unreasonable that when you are charged $12.00 for a simple cheesey garlic bread, that you actually receive the item you have paid for.. or at least a refund if it can't be provided for whatever reason. For what it would cost for your kitchen to make the food, I would have thought that good business ethics would be to serve the customer the item you missed, and wear the expense - let's face it, it probably costs you a handful of dollars at best to make another one.
I definitely won't be returning here again.
