Not impressed walked into club was told by bar staff n restaurant don't accept St Johns Bowling club membership, walked out, their loss. Should have honoured our membership, no way to do business or get new clientele

Caught the clubs courtesy bus so not to drive.
The driver picked / dropped us of with a smile on her face.
The starters **** plus went up twice.
The main meals **** plus.
Will eat here again.
The restaurants staff were polite and attentive.
The other meals that passed by our table looked and smelled appetizeing.
The bar staff were friendly and helpful
The club was not packed.
The atmosphere had a low buzz of friends enjoying their meals with live music in the background.

Booked this place for my partners 30th. Could not recommend more. The food was delicious, went out of their way to make a vegan platter. I have never experienced such kind customer service. Everyone there was so lovely.

Always friendly and very helpful. Bring your food to you, wherever you are in the club. Food always fresh and tasty.

Our meals were very basic. My butter chicken was unpleasant, a few pieces of chicken and over steamed mushy rice. The marinara looked like it was canned seafood. My husband's seafood basket was very overcooked. Staff were lovely, but other area's needed attention.

AMAZING! Super friendly staff. Great live music. Cold drinks. What more could you want!?

5 stars for a club it has an excellent feed with an Indian spin, really good especially in comparison to other restraints in town...and I mean all of them.

Nice cold beers too. Really pleasant surprise after some bad experiences elsewhere in town.

This a great little club, bit of a hidden gem. Great place for a few afternoon beers and a meal.

Locals club, small. Friendly staff, happy hour when I was there $6.20 schooner. Definitely better than the $8.20 at the touristy golf club. . Didn't eat so don't know what food like. My sort of club. Would recommend

Good value food with big portions .
The food was cooked great better then some other much more expensive places so was a nice surprise .
Decently worth coming for a feed when visiting the area .

Out of towner visiting on a quiet weekday lunch. Party of 4. Nice meal for most with fresh crunchy chips. Pasta was good, beef burger too. Steak was bit dry and too cooked for what was asked, perhaps give that a pass. 3 out if 4 good dishes so thumbs up.

Went there a few days in a row. Burnt pizza bases for dinner but awesome burgers for lunch, I guess food quality depends on who's in the kitchen and how busy it is.
Staff were really nice and friendly.

Went to the Bowlo for dinner and ended up staying for Tuesday Night Trivia.
What a warm and friendly club.
Both Staff and locals made us feel so welcome.
Beer was fresh and crisp, meals very tasty.

I'm very sorry, but for those who are used to the great food that used to be served here - the bistro changed hands 3 days ago with the new year and the best I can say is it's dismal ??. Most of what we ate appeared to be Aldi bulk bought and fried within an inch of its life.... Absolutely awful, massively overpriced, tiny portions of rubbish food: stay away ?

A BIG SHOUT OUT, to the bistro staff, we attended the club,(a party of 8 adults including a two year old toddler), on 2/1/2023. The staff were amazing considering being down 4 staff members at this busy time. We were advised about the wait time, however, the food was delicious and the staff very accommodating. Thank you for making our evening enjoyable. We will definitely be returning.

Writing this review at 931 pm after a horrendous wait for food ordered at 645pm. The level of incompetence, I haven't seen in a restaurant in Australia for many years. Children's Food just arrived. Food also poor quality, management of club doesn't care, they are a separate entity apparently. Avoid.

Best food I've had at any of our local clubs in a long time. Great atmosphere and always friendly staff.

Really friendly old school bowling club.. true reflection of the great loçal community.. really great service in the restaurant .. high end pub style food ..

While the decor may not be flash or pretentious, this humble club boasts the best pub feed in town. Portions are generous, full of flavour and everything is made on site (we ate prawn cutlets that had been freshly crumbed that day). Everything was cooked to perfection: the ribs were juicy, tender and the nachos came with generous servings of sour cream and guacamole - just the way nachos should be! Try the loaded garlic bread = heaven on a plate.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive without being annoying. Never had a disappointing meal here. Always a pleasure.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide menu list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

What a great find. Lovely club surrounded by trees and friendly staff, but the bistro is a real delight. We enjoyed fresh flounder as well as a surf and turf that simply puts other eateries to shame. Best meal we've had for a long time. We've been telling all our friends.

Love the new menu. Fresh seafood specials are an absolute delight. I had the BBQ king prawns, huge and juicy! and my friend had the swordfish. Not over-priced for fabulous fresh food. Why go to Rick Steins when you can eat at here for a quarter of the price?! Thoroughly recommended
