Montmorency Eltham RSL - RSL in Montmorency Victoria

I took a bus load of seniors here for Morning Melodies. The entertainment was good and the staff attentive. Food choices and quality were above average.

Access for mobility challenged patrons was a bit tricky but manageable via the rear entrance.

First time here. Great band playing upstairs.
A week later we came back again to try Parma night. Parma and a schooner for a reasonable price. 9 or 10 different Parma toppings to choose from. Finished it off with a delicious sticky date pudding. Excellent kitchen and wonderfully serene views of the park outside through the huge windows. The staff were all cheery and helpful.

Last minute decision to go for dinner n entertainment upstairs for 3 piece band. Pleasantly surprised by variety of meals on offer n quality/ quantity good along with fair price. Upstairs a bit of a bar with large dance n outdoor balcony. Staff pleasant and welcoming n very attentive. Will go back again if/when live entertainment available.

A few months ago I left a 1 star review. I'm changing it to a 5 star because they massively improved their service and the food on the vegan menu is actually vegan now. I had a really good time and enjoyed the food. Service was great.

This is the old review: Ordered vegan risotto. Came out topped with parmesan cheese and looked like it was cooked in butter. You have a vegan menu seperate to your vegetarian menu. The wait staff even double checked that it was from the vegan menu. There's no excuse for this mistake. If you don't want to cater to vegans I could have just had a bowl of chips.

Two of my favourite places in Melbourne. I've lived in Eltham and am always in love with the g trees, the bush and the general environment..I feel this also for the Mernda and Doreen areas in which there are numerous ancient and amazing red gums.
Lots of great cafes and plenty of areas to walk dogs.
