Recently visited for dinner and would highly recommend. Food and drinks were nice - upmarket RSL/pub/surf club food with a strong seafood emphasis. The location along the river is beautiful

We drove up from Sydney. Checked website before attending to make sure it was open, and it said it was. . Bookings were available for time we were attending so we were confident it was open. On arrival just after 3pm we get told the bistro is closed from 3:30pm, so unfortunately we are not taking any more orders. Yet on the web we could book a table at 4pm before we left. It was a long drive to be turned around. The bistro staff were pretty rude and abrupt. Would not recommend going for food as you never know when it will be open. We won't be going back ....

Wait Staff are lovely but the food was very disappointing . We ordered the pumpkin soup but it was lukewarm and weirdly smothered in cheese which made the taste awful - completely overpowered any pumpkin taste. Served with two pieces of cold dry bread with not even an option of butter or margarine . Shame as the setting is lovely but I just don't know how food like that can even make it out of the kitchen - don't they test taste the meals they serve??
