A good place for coffee while other cafes close at 3pm, and as long as you would not mind about the average quality of coffee.

Wait Staff are lovely but the food was very disappointing . We ordered the pumpkin soup but it was lukewarm and weirdly smothered in cheese which made the taste awful - completely overpowered any pumpkin taste. Served with two pieces of cold dry bread with not even an option of butter or margarine . Shame as the setting is lovely but I just don't know how food like that can even make it out of the kitchen - don't they test taste the meals they serve??

The restaurant here was very underwhelming. As a club and as an establishment that prides itself on oysters this was very disappointing. When we arrived, we waited 10 minutes before a server approached us and gave us a table. We had asked to sit outside, however it was full or reserved. So the waitress said she would let us know once a table was available. Within 10 minutes, a table outside became free and another party took it. We ordered a dozen oysters with mignonette sauce, and when it arrived there wasn't any sauce or lemon to go with it. We reminded our waitress that we had ordered the mignonette sauce with the oysters and the sauce was very sad looking when she brought it out. We also ordered the barramundi, which was mediocre. We paid over $100 for 2 starters, 1 main and 2 drinks, and it was definitely not worth it. A server had brought a wine glass to me that had lipstick marks around the entire rim. The staff were friendly but the service was disorganized and a little chaotic.

This is my first ever negative review for a place. If you're deciding to come here or another place, you should probably chose the other place as the food, service and pricing will most likely be better than the Mooney Mooney Club.

Sadly the food was less than mediocre, over priced and just lacks presentation and flavors. It's very disappointing that the whole experience too was just pretty bad. No vibe, no warmth in service or staff awareness of customer satisfaction awareness. But to be fair !! The female host who sat us down was really really nice and she was the only beautiful highlight of our experience.

My first time here. Thankfully we had a table booked for a weekday. Although booked for 90 minutes we stated we'll over two hours.
We enjoyed the food. It was very good. Ordered the steak and praws and the steak was cooked to perfection. Not sure how they turned a simple potato mash into the tastiest potato mash I ever had. Oysters were a bit with sand. The views were also good for a summer afternoon.
Staff and service was really good.

We just had a milestone birthday at the club for 40 people and the whole event was fantastic. The staff at the Mooney Mooney Club were accommodating, professional and made the night really special. The shuttle picked us up from the station and looked after whatever we needed. The food was fantastic and they catered really well for vegans ands vegetarians. Highly recommend

Lovely venue/great views, playground for children, good food and plenty of parking. A member and a regular being a few kms it's my local. RECOMMENDED

Service very good. Terrible bland meal. We had hot seafood selection ($65). 2 mussels, oysters & scallops were the size of a thumb nail. Also 2 medium large prawns and dry squid. Served with mash potato and vegetables. You get better seafood at Cole/Woolies

What an incredible place to stop and have a meal. The staff are next level nice and make for an awesome experience.
The view sitting outside was so nice, in the sun and having a few beverages.
Be nice to have an afternoon session there are not habanero to drive.
We will be back.

Food was beautiful, cocktails delicious & cheap, the gelato - omg! Heavenly.
Special mention for Greer - what a lovely waitress. So friendly & polite & nothing was too much trouble. Management should be proud to have her working there.

Great location with both indoor and outdoor dining and pleasant outlook. Good place to meet half way between Central Coast and Sydney. I enjoyed my barramundi, my friends surf and turf had tough steak. Upon letting the waitperson know, the chef sent an apology and a free coffee, which was a good response. Disabled parking and ramp access. Disabled toilet.

Mooney Mooney Club is located close to Rest Area heading south. We enjoyed an excellent meal with great menu choices. Delicious food... great service.... perfect spot after sitting in heavy traffic. We will definitely be calling in again.

We had heard about this club and it was highly recommended! Unfortunately that might have been a long time ago. We went there for lunch today, booked for 12:30. Sat down and they took our order promptly. Then we sat and waited. Our food arrived after one and a half hours! The steak didn't come as described in the menu but we overlooked that. My wife began eating the seafood entree. She got as far as 2 prawns, 2 oysters and a bite of smoked salmon. She came over very faint, nauseous, cold chills....( classic food poisoning symptoms)...and headed for the bathroom. She had terrible food poisoning. We thought we would have to take her to hospital. When she told the staff what had happened, they tried to tell her it could have been from something she ate earlier, but She hadn't eaten at all earlier and she knew it was directly related to the seafood. She was told she would have to pay for the seafood entree, because she had eaten part of it. Unbelievable response! She refused, rightly so! It had caused the dreadful food poisoning. So much for those recommendations. We will not be returning and definitely don't recommend it!

Pretty disappointed with our meals. The gnocchi was so overpowered by lemon/citrus that I just didn't get any other flavours. Fisherman's basket tasted like a frozen meal. One of the super visors was cleaning around us and didn't remove the dirty glassware?? Sadly won't be returning.

First time. What a nice hidden gem. Food and service were great as well as the atmosphere. They were having trivia night trivia night and I was fascinated that some of the participants were dressed up for the occasion. We were sitting on the deck and admired the beautiful view of the Hawkesbury River. Once it turned dark, the biggest surprise turned up. A possum with baby on it's back on the outside of the roof frame. I had never seen this before. It was beautiful. We certainly will be back.

A good size dining area as well as other places to sit. A covered deck to eat on looking out over The Hawkesbury River. The service was a bit lax as our waiter hardly came around. And when we ordered second drinks they arrived as we were ready to leave. This may well be lack of staff. We will definitely go back.

Went on a Thursday evening for trivia game. We ordered dinner & had the chicken supreme.... supreme it was!!!! Absolutely delicious....cooked to perfection!!!.... Then topped it off with Coastal Affogato.....ohhhhh......just heavenly!!!...... I'm coming back for more!!!!!

Make sure you book well ahead for lunch, it can get packed most weekends. Drink selection is fairly minimal. Food was over a 1 hour wait after ordering (ordered at 12:45, food arrived at 2:00pm) which was fairly disappointing. Although the food was rather delicious, tad pricey for some menu items.Might be worth eating here at low peak hours. Overall Id give this place a 3.5 star rating only based on my experience.

Very average food. The chicken schnitzel and chips tasted like over used oil and were over cooked. This was our first visit, all the way up from Sydney, to enjoy a new place but will not be returning. I gave it 2 stars because of good service by the staff.

Very small, intimate club with some great water views. We were very disappointed that even with our booking we were seated at the back as the whole point of our date was the view. Outstanding customer service from our waitress but the food was very average so won't be back.

Great food, fast service. The club was fully booked however we ordered take away and had it on the lawn in the back area. Very pleasant.
