Mulwala Water Ski Club Club, Mulwala NSW

They have a great selection of machines. But I was in awe of their digital roulette machine.
I wish more venues had these as it's a great way to spend time when you're with your mates and need a bit of alone time.

Great place for a drink, view and live music. We had Pizza at lunch and it was great, but back for dinner and main meals were just okay. The worst part was they give you those cheap, thin, metal tasting cutlery. Really made the meal worse unfortunately.

25.01.2025 (MAGGOTS)

Went out for dinner with my sister, her boyfriend (Sebastian) and my fiancé.
We were seated at table "21" and "25" they were both connected strangely..

Let's get to the main tragedy..

We waited 34 for my pepperoni pizza, 35 min for the Parma and chips (sister) and a 300g Fillet steak.... My fiancés meal came out (Chicken Parma) 9 min after!!!
BUT this is where it gets BADDDD!!

1. Sitting so uncomfortable next to a massive line of people staring over us (YES, it was a busy weekend...mind you we had to book a week and 2 days prior!!! ) The table booking was right near the line to order, all the tables were free but 6 people/ family seated MAX!!!!!!

Another ridiculous thing to add on is.. one night my own nanna that has been living in Yarra for over 30 years now. The last time she went, they don't prioritise people that have a booking in the restaurant).. she only ordered a pizza and all three of her friends meals came out! She ended up leaving the club... even though she paid for the pizza (waiter a hr n 10 minutes) because she was fead. She is the sweetest person ever and did not complain!!

BUT I WILL!

2. When I was about to asked if we could move tables because we couldn't eat comfortably with out all these eyes on us.. all of a sudden my sisters boyfriend (Sebastian) told me to look down at his steak. THERE WAS OVER HUNDREDS OF MAGGOTS!! Freshly hatched maggots! These maggots were half the size of a pinky finger nail!!!
My fiancé called over a young waitress to change tables, but as soon as she made her way over to the table I saw hundreds of baby maggots crawling on Sebastian's steak! So I told her, my first reasoning and then dropped the MAIN MAGGOT SITUATION!....
The poor young girl was in shocked.
Before I had the chance to a photo of the dish, she quick took it away (obviously) it just happened very fast. (The photos listed was our seating and extra details)

The manager on shift? (Rachel) came out with two $20 notes and a $2 coin... she did apologise and looked embarrassed. I didn't even have a chance to get to say anything because she just gave us the money and apologised less then 30 seconds..
My sister, fiancé and I couldn't even finish our meals because we were in shock + disgusted :(

(One thing to add.. what I was saying about the line being right next to our table, they saw all of this!! At least 6 people saw the maggots on the plate before we had the chance to take a photo. One of the ladies and son walked out of the restaurant straight after...)

Just for a little side note.. if people make bookings, you should prioritise their food before the people walking in from outside. (Everyone can notice this) YES it was a busy day and this has nothing to do with the YOUNG staff because they were absolutely mortified of this incident. The company should hire more people for these days. SHAME ON THE SKI CLUB.

Quick summary of everything, we were left in absolutely disgusted, shocked, sick etc...
I'm 21(Jasmine), my sister 23 (Jade), Sebastian (24) and my fiancé 23 (Emanuele).

Myself and my partner met at KFC. We understand the stress and rush of public holiday, preparing food, making customs satisfied and have a OHS policy in place!!!!

We don't want to make any of the young staff that night left and feel bad.. It's a big SHAME that the restaurant only gave us a refund for the maggot meal, when cleanly we didn't want to eat anymore of the other meals and wanted to get the hell out of there!

Please don't order a steak here (25 above heat...) Unless you like maggot seasoning :)

Wow, such a great spot with an extensive menu and not one vegan option, no healthy salads, yet on the menu it says vegan options. When I asked, they said I could have the pizza without cheese. Reallly? This is a massive place, how could you not cater for various dietary requirements. Perhaps stock vegan cheese and offer some healthy salads and warm meals! Need to up your game. However, the wait staff were friendly and helpful.

Great spot for a drink and a meal, but this place needs to really rethink its restaurant problems! There's 3 restaurants but you can't take food from one spot to another unless it's takeaway, whatever that means. Completely unwilling to allow us to take a plate. We're a group of 4, 2 of us having pizza from one joint, 2 of us having Chinese from the other. How do we eat without a plate? I get kicked out for asking how
do i eat my meal and putting it together as pictured??
