What a rude racist thing on the till in the bristo this evening at Murray downs. My lovely asian wife went up to the bristo area to order our meal.miss nasty replied the meal ordering time is not 5.45. IT WAS changed back to 6.00 months ago. No sign at the ordering area to tell us that.my wife said she wanted to leave. She's wondering if they any rules there to stamp out racism. And white women bullying. We will not be back.

Amazing courses down the Murray this was an incredible first time on a proper Australian sandbelt course. Smooth fairways and lightning quick greens. Course was in A1 condition.

Lovely clean rooms, with lovely garden surrounds. Was a delight and the staff were prepared to go the extra mile, would recommend a stay to all my friends or family. Thanks

I very much enjoyed playing this links style golf course. The fairways were in excellent condition, as were the greens that rolled true and fast. Water hazards mainly came into play on the back 9

The practice facilities consisted of a large putting green, a grassed driving range, and chipping green. The bunkers were a little crusty and would benefit from having a little extra sand.

The pro shop staff were very professional and friendly. The pro shop itself carried a wide range of golfing equipment and accessories.

I very much look forward to playing this golf course again in the future.

Accommodation is comfortable and clean. Gardens and pool are well looked after. Cooked breakfast was OK.. nothing to rave about. Parma for dinner was excellent. Cafe not open until 10 which is driving the coffee drinkers nuts. Golf coarse is excellent. Staff have been fantastic.

Spectacular Golf Course. Will definitely be back at some stage. There are plenty of sand traps and plenty of water. Great fairways and greens. Pro Shop staff very helpful and friendly.

Menu pricing did not match the actual price. When questioned about this, they said that they had had a price rise but were still using old menus. Very misleading. Salad was that small it would have fitted in the palm of my hand.

Went there for dinner. Horribly disappointed. Fettuccine Carbonara frightening price .swimming in too much cream and egg mixture. I should have sent it back . Great club though .great atmosphere friendly staff.

FOUR DAY FULL ON GOLFING TRIP - Our golfing group went on a four day golfing trip from our homes in Adelaide. We left at 3 am And were playing Murray Downs GC by 9.00am then CluBarham GC in the afternoon. Next day was Cohuna in the morning and Rich River GC in the afternoon. Next day off to Shepparton GC in the morning and Belvoir GC (Bendigo) in the afternoon. Final day was Stawell in the morning and then the drive home. A great trip playing some fantastic golf courses.

Murray Downs golf course has an excellent reputation ... ... We were not disappointed. An excellent layout with lots of bunkers and water hazards. Fairways greens and bunkers were all in excellent condition. It being at the end of summer we had excellent roll. Dale in the pro shop made us feel very welcome.

We went here for a weekend so stayed for 2 nights. We ate a couple of times in the bistro and had breakfast from room service on the morning we were leaving. Lunch was the first meals we had at the bistro was lunch. I had the lamb bangers and mash. The better half a caesar salad. Great dishes. The better half reckons the only thing wrong with her caesar is it didn't have a soft poached egg. Would have been better than the hard boiled egg. Lunch was so good we gave dinner a go. No disappointment there. I had the paella and better half went with the 200g rump. Day 2 brekky, I had the all in breakfast, better half had the eggs Benny. It was excellent. The morning of leaving we had room service, I went with the grills and added sausages and wifey had poached eggs and bacon with baked beans. This was a good starter for the travel home. The accommodation is good value for money. The rooms need a little TLC but the bed was comfy. Only real drama is the outside night light stays on all night. You can try your hardest with blackout curtains but it never works. I think maybe 11pm they should be turned off. All up 9/10. We would definitely go back.

Very friendly staff. Particular Jenny. Beautiful meals It was very busy on our night that we visited still our meals didn't take long to come out

We had 6 meals in the bistro over 3 days & each meal was superb ! Lunch & dinner; meals were excellent, tasty, well cooked & presented. Service was excellent. Thank you for restoring our faith in eating out again, could not fault so credit where it's due to you. Only deducted 1 star for the windows along tables 1 - 6 were grubby with insects & need to be cleaned. Do that & it's a 5 star ??

I can see why this facility is rated in the top 50.

Went there for breakfast, guessing kitchen staff/chefs don't check food for freshness as my son was served two pieces of sourdough with mould growing on the top one piece had a fair bit of green spots and white fur all over the top. Hate to see what the other bits of food were like that had other foods/sauce on top. Not sure how this could be missed and especially served to a child. Lucky we noticed as he was going to eat it. Kitchen should definitely be inspected to check what other foods are mouldy/off.

Had my first ever golf game here. It was perfect. Great greens and fun to play. But be careful the water traps are a ball hazard lol. After having a few lessons at home I ventured north to Swan Hill. I recommend this golf course to anyone.
I tried the restaurant and found the food to be very nice. But the cashier attendant was a bit abrupt.

Is hands down the best course in northern Victoria. Was in Pristine condition after 2 days of heavy rain. Played very well with fast greens and lovely tree lined fairways.

The venue is terrific but unfortunately the lunch left much to be desired. Had a roast of the day (beef) potatoes, my favourite, were almost raw, very disappointing. The broccoli 🥦, was hard to eat/chew and beans were obviously frozen not fresh. I spoke to the waitress she said she told cook. No discount no nothing, a waist of $21 (I am a pensioner too).
What a shame-spoilt my day.

Had a very enjoyable game of golf here. Course and greens in very good condition. Great service. It was quite slow as it was a busy day for a Monday. Stay out of bunkers and away from water and you are fine.

Good food, fast service, clean and tidy venue.Our grandson enjoyed watching the golfers.I would also like to thank staff that found our grandsons special beanie and mailed it back to us.That was a beautiful gesture

Absolutely fantastic stay. As far as value for money, great facilities, first class golf course... what more do you want?Cannot wait to return.

Nice club, went for bingo. Don't buy too many games as you won't keep up. Fun morning but caller is very quick. I was always a few numbers behind and occasionally lost numbers. Everyone friendly. Meals look nice and reasonably priced

A nice place. The staff were helpful and friendly. The roast was a bit dry and not great balance on the proportions but other than that is was a very nice place for a meal with the family. Lovely views of the golf course in the balcony section and nice to watch people hit some balls.

MURRAY DOWNS COUNTRY CLUB was a welcome back to regional Victoria. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay on the course and enjoyed the tasty, well presented meals.
