Simply Australia's best themed restaurant! The "Outback Shack" has you sitting on the veranda of an old bush house with trees, koala and snake (not alive!) and loads of bric-a-brac. Occasionally a thunderstorm starts with rain dripping from the iron roof. It really needs to be seen as it's so much fun. Food is excellent too so this is an absolute must if passing through Narrabri.

Not just generous portions but a very tasty lunch (had Salmon Patties & Lamb shoulder as mains)! Very nice and friendly staff. Will be back again,

Well wasn't this place a surprise to stumble into as a non local.
The food is as you would expect for a club in a country town - tasty, plentiful, & they have all your club/pub favourites on the menu.
The staff are lovely (this was honestly the case everywhere we went in town though) & always seem to be on hand if you need anything.
So...there is also a thunderstorm & rain inside...I was so confused. The locals obviously knew what was going on & paid no mind, but I was genuinely concerned about the sudden thunder I could hear & thought a sudden & big storm had blown in, nope, just the light show that happens every 30 minutes or so. Then there was rain inside, which was fun.
All in all, was a good night out. 10/10 would come back.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, a fantastic place to take family and meet up with friends. We loved the murals and the feeling in the club.

Had a nice dinner here. Very friendly place and we were treated courteously and respectfully from the members. Love the mural on the wall.

Food was excellent; however, the club staff were officious and borderline rude. Their covid enforcement is also extreme. Worst we have encountered in NSW.

Having just arrived in narrabri for the night we were really looking forward to our meal out but sadly once again we were very dissapointed. I ordered the lamb shanks and the menu states," two lamb shanks with mashed potatoes in a nice sauce, what arrived was one very small lamb shank the size of a chicken leg on about a tablespoon of mashed potatoe with a teaspoon of some type of sauce overtop. In addition i ordered chips on the side so even though the chips were cold at least i had something to eat. Couldn't fault the venue or tge service but the food was not what the menu said even though i was charged for it. To the cook " its no good enough and you need to sort it"

Outback Restaurant 'hidden' inside is decked out with all things Australia. Lighting, water and sound effects. Menu has good variety. Generous serves of fresh ingredients and well presented.

Best risotto I have had for ages, the Outback Shack has such a wonderful atmosphere, great for kids of all ages.

Small and quaint. Loved the restaurant experiemce which is designed to mimic a night in the outback complete with thunder storm and rain. Meal was basic but edible.
