Classic RSL, beers were cheap, staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The missus had some excellent lamb chops with some sides from the salad bar (excellent coleslaw)

I had a peerless mixed grill, steak, chop, double sausage, egg and amazing bacon. Sides included some lovely carrots and zucchini as well as cheesy cauliflower.

Great spot, worth the drive.

This rsl has flown the Australian flag at half mast for 2 years. I noticed this for 3 days straight while staying in town, left up overnight, unlit and at half mast. I have found photos from 2 years ago where the flag is also at half mast..I decided to ask at the bar. And no valid answer was given first he started telling me about why a flag would be at half mast..
Then when I said I know, it's been like that for 3 days. He said "no ones gotten to it" if you ask me no one cares.

That's our national symbol, for all. Show it some respect

Great home cooked food!
Ordered chefs special - Slow cooked lamb Shanks, creamy cauliflower cheese, mash and veg...best I've had -Highly recommend. Plus the courtesy bus picked up and dropped off from local caravan park, great country service and food.

Stopped in for a quick trip as we travelled through. Lunch specials of fish and chips, kids snitzel and chips and kids fish and chips. Well cooked and good size. Everyone loved their lunch.

Old fashion county town RSL - loved it like stepping back into the 70's great service - clean and tidy and food was delicious- on time and reasonable price - loved the ode to our amazing Australian soldiers held every evening and everyone stood and was silent - loved - a must stop
