Stopped in for a sneaky mid week lunch with the family. Food was good and service great. Feed the family of 5 for under $100. Friendly kid environment.

Staff very friendly how ever very disappointing meal for the price $$$ Lamb cutlets with lots of fat not stripped off and not cooked and very small amount of meat. Minimal vegies and to many potatoes. Deep fried prawns over done cold chips very dry. Curry average. Haven't been for a while and won't be rushing back.

It was clean and welcoming. The lady on the front desk is polite and the other staff were amazing. They have gr8 meal choices and the beer was cold.

We decided to dine at the club Saturday night..l ordered a entree of scallops and chicken tenders with a curry sauce...on arrival to the table the most obvious thing was a how unbelievably tiny the scallops were approximately a five cent piece and how dry and chewy they were?...swimming in a sea butter..very disappointing.
The chicken skewers were also underwhelming lacking in flavour ..so for $30.00 my meal was very average..as a person who has spent 30+ years in the hospitality industry l fully understand the pressures of kitchens but you really need to look at the quality of food that you are serving ..please do better.

It was a great place but I ordered the pork belly bites and in the description it said that it was glazed in plum sauce but really it was in a pool of it! There wasn't many options on the menu but still a great place to eat!

The staff were extremely rude to my 3 mates and I. We were just relaxing having a beer at quarter past 5, when we were approached but who I assume is the FOH manager who asked if we had a booking, we said we didn't, he then told us they were booked out and we had to leave soon. Fine. We finished our beers but we were hoping to eat dinner here after a long day at the beach. as we were leaving at least 2/3rds of the entire bistro was empty, so we asked if there was a chance we could grab some food and be out by the hour, this was declined.

Won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know. The only positive was our group spent our hundreds of dollars elsewhere.

We celebrated our Christmas break up 36 people. Food was amazing and great value. Anton and the staff went above and beyond.

No chefs specials on menu, apparently new menu, first time dining here for dinner. There were 3 of us dining two elderly parents and myself,
Both parents had the lamb souvlaki $29.both agreed it could of been warmed up rather than served cold.
The pita bread was cold, lamb was just warm a bit, so neither enjoyed there meal, chips cold, the pita bread could've been toasted or warmed in a oven before assembling with lamb. I had the Quinoa Salad$22. with Thai marinated beef$8. as a add on.
Quinoa Salad was nice with the Thai Marinated Beef it was even better.
Not many options on the menu for dinner service. We won't be back again for dinner unless they change the menu.

Very nice place to have a drink or eat has pokies on-site. Lots of parking available before 5.30.

I could not pick holes in this establishment's customer service, and my ginger and lemongrass tea was delicious. Nonetheless, I ordered risotto and after tasting it, thought to myself: 'There's enough garlic in this to kill every vampire in Asia!' But for the parmesan cheese, it would've been tougher to eat surely.

Our Probus group enjoyed a wonderful lunch mid-week. Terrific menu (don't know how they keep prices soooo reasonable) food beautifully plated up & delicious. Staff fabulous. Round tables so we could all chat.

I went with a group and we were seated on 4 Round Tables, really good for communicating with each other. A good choice of meals reasonably priced, service was excellent by friendly helpful staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, welcoming two out-of-towners who wandered in for a meal. I loved my risotto marinara but Pete was disappointed with the meat in his roast. That wouldn't put me off coming again, though, and trying some of the other tempting dishes. Another thing I liked was the fact that the dining room absorbed sound well: it was quite busy, but we could hear each other easily.

Celebrated a friends 85th birthday. Lovely meals that all came out at the same time (around 35-40 people). Coffee was great. Service was warm and friendly.

When we walked in it took them 5 minutes to seat us at a booked table, then we ordered lemonade and they gave us soda water before apologising and then giving us lemonade. We ordered two $41 dollar steaks which took an hour and ten minutes to come despite us asking multiple times, when we did ask we got told " they take longer because they're well done" I never knew that it adds an extra 40 minutes to the order. This bogus excuse was proved false when we got our steaks and they were cold as if they were sitting around for a while. They did taste nice although the service and attitude is shocking. $41 for an hour and ten minute wait and a cold steak is atrocious. Don't come here

I'm a hard marker so that's why the 4-star review. Don't get me wrong It's a high rating from me :) We were there for a new years eve red carpet event. I won't comment about the band... That would run the stars down further.

Fantastic food! the beef was succulent and very delicious! same with the dessert, tasty fresh and a decent change from usual club food.

Amenities were good, the gents toilets took a hammering from a big crowd so I didn't expect great things by 11 pm :)

Good place to visit for dinner, but booking is recommended. ID is required for entry. Food is good and prices are OK. No table service. Friendly staff. Kids playroom is good it contains TV, bean bags, couple of classic snes consoles and big blackboard. No playground.

I booked an early barefoot bowls session for my family and we had a great time! Chris was an encouraging and friendly instructor and spent the whole session with us as we were the only ones there. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time! Every single person I spoke with at the venue from the receptionist and bowling coaches to the bistro staff were friendly and professional. We then had a lunch at the bistro which was absolutely superb, I couldn't fault it one bit. The bistro gets pretty busy and with good reason; the meals are delicious and excellent value and there's an awesome selection of drinks available. I cannot rate this place highly enough! My visit here was a highlight of my time spent in Ocean Grove and I will most definitely be back again.

Bistro food is great and the.menu has had a nice change of late. Still hard to get table cleared by wait staff but they are mostly new and young. Just a sign of the times really. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Just moved to the area and was looking for somewhere to eat a decent meal. I cannot rate this place highly enough. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with excellent customer service and very helpful staff. The restaurant wait staff were first rate and the food was absolutely amazing. I had the slow cooked lamb shanks and I didn't even need my knife - the meat just fell off the bones! Incredible. The kids area was great - lots of toys to play! We will be signing up and going very regularly!

We were pleasantly surprised by the bistro food. Very tasty and well cooked. Easy to order and quick to arrive... I'd recommend the sticky date pudding. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Venue overlooks bowling green which is lovely. The service is good with waitresses ensuring patrons are seated and ready to order within a good timeframe. Unfortunately the menu lacks in variety for dietary requirements and choices, especially for coelliacs.

We had a great night. Watched the footy. Played pokies and watched the races. The food was great. The prices reasonable.

The members lounge was packed as the half price food and drinks Friday nights was on. It had been a while since I had been for a meal here and last time I had reviewed it badly. Tonight the meals were all spot on we had a table of 7 and everyone had a delicious meal. Bonus was it was half price. This special half price deal was only for a couple of months March/April Fridays 5-7 but the meals were great so we will start coming again.

Great place to eat in Ocean Grove. Good selection of Australian classic beers including Toohey's Old on tap. Nice one.
