Birthday celebrations disappointment... Half rack pork ribs burnt/dry for two guests. One polite guest did reluctantly managed to eat it. We agreed for 3 affogatos compensation in lieu of burnt food, but received only two later on. Very poor attitude from the catering manager.

We've recently settled in Port Macquarie and discovered our favourite dining spot! Early on, we tried the calamari at Golf Club Restaurant - it's the best I've ever tasted: fresh, light, and perfectly crispy. Unlike other places where calamari can be oily and heavily breaded, here it's always just right, demonstrating their impressive consistency. We've dined here multiple times, and the calamari remains a standout. The daily specials are a delight too. I was fortunate to find Blue Eye Cod on the menu one day - a rare find and my absolute favourite. It was the best cod I've had in Australia, cooked flawlessly, with a fresh, thick cut, juicy texture, and perfectly paired sides and sauce. I wish this dish was a regular menu item; I'd order it every visit! My husband, meanwhile, raves about the double chicken parmi. He told me it's the best he's ever had! Juicy and perfect size !
We highly recommend the Golf Club Restaurant. Not only is the food exceptional, but the views overlooking a beautiful golf field are simply amazing. It's a complete dining experience that should not be missed :)

The meal we had was exceptional.
Quality, with a large portion on your plate. Cooked beautifully, delivered to the table by their Catering Supervisor. Always checking that all is OK, even Chef Frances comes over to greet and chat. The atmosphere and decor are modern,
and very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening there, I even ran into a few friends . Thank you all. It was lovely to see you , ??

A delicious lunch.... Rump for hubby and roast pork (sadly no crackling as promoted on menu) with the most delicious summer pudding included for me!!

3 visitors played there today and very disappointed to find that not only the price of green fees has gone up to $60.00 but we were not advised of the number of unplayable holes and changes on the course. Unfortunately we were not proved with correct score cards for the changed holes. This mistake caused us confusion throughout the day. We should have been provided with the current changes as well as reduced green fees.

So an update to my previous post ,regarding our disappointment at the club when trying to finalise our fund raiser for local law enforcement officer.
Its now a month on and after numerous email ( maybe 5 ) .
With return email stating, some one will get back to you shortly.
Its now got to the stage that the emails are completely ignored.
Even an undertaking that the C.E.O would respond .
Absolutely nothing and i think a disgrace under the circumstances.
The end result is Kew golf club were fantastic and helped out last minute .
Trip to be published and distributed to all followers and agencies.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable lunch here today, and we were very lucky to be attended to by a lovely young lady by the name of Crystal who just happened to be on her very first day here.

Had dinner there recently with my family. They have a good menu, and the sticky date pudding was excellent.

Has everything a visitor would need at this time of year. Great Weather and pleasant surroundings. Top Notch Great Beaches. Plenty of places to eat.

I was part of a large group who seemed to enjoy their meal. Unfortunately I chose the Summer Salad Bowl. It didn't live up to expectations. A more appropriate name would be "Last nights leftover vegetables". I got a slab of pumpkin covering limp broccolini, hard carrot, parsnip and even a cold potato! Didn't even get the spinach! It was served on a bed of limp lettuce mix. And all served stone cold so very obviously straight from the fridge! I'm a Port local and this was easily the worst meal I've ever had from any local venue. I did complain at the time (last Wednesday) and should have been offered a refund. I wasn't.

We had a school reunion here recently and the staff and venue were great. Costs were very reasonable and the Seabreeze Room excellent for our needs. The food in the restaurant is good and views over the golf course are relaxing. The carpark is extensive but may be crowded during competition periods.

Great food and the waitress was super friendly even though she seemed under pressure with staff shortages. Food was plentiful, fresh and very enjoyable.

Had a mid week round here in March 2022 and really enjoyed the experience. Hit off at first light, with the pro shop super friendly letting me out even though I hadn't had a chance to book a tee time. Due to all the rain only one nine was playable, which was a shame, but I still enjoyed. Course in pretty good condition with some variety of holes. The 7th a cracker par 3, with elevated tee hitting over water. Thanks to all the team at the club, look forward to coming back.

Port Macquarie Golf Club is a must do for golfers traveling through this part of NSW. A picturesque and well maintained seaside layout offering challenges for all standards of player.
A large well appointed clubhouse overlooks the course, it's always popular with members and visitors alike.
James and his team in the Pro Shop could not have been more helpful and welcoming with our recent visit, thank you.

I enjoy the Port Macquarie Golf Club and services. Sadly disappointed that a cost cutting exercise has implemented a limit of freckles to 1 per customer with coffee. Other extras are now costed separately to the food they accompany. This is petty and will cause problems with staff who front the customers. A review of costing across the services and appropriate transparent increases would be better received.
Great service staff shouldn't have to justify penny pinching.

Port Macquarie Golf Club ticks all the boxes for me. Course was in great shape, very nice club house and even ball washers on every tee, plus hole map. It was a pleasure to walk the lush fairways and take in the scenery. Im looking forward to playing there again, however, quite rightly, it is popular, so a round can be slow. Staff and other golfers were all friendly...

Nice meal, not cheap, but very nice. Beautiful surroundings. Great staff.

Wonderful course and great new refurbishment to the club but sadly the restaurant/bistro is not a patch on our many previous visits - every item was a virtual deep fry no vegetables available and limited choice for a club of this class explains why it was so so quiet hopefully they can get the restaurant sorted

My daughters took me to the club for my birthday dinner .... 29/5/2021... I heard there was a new Head Chief, new menu etc. I was looking forward to trying out the newly created menu.
Well I certainly wasn't disappointed... 10 out of 10 !! . I had a chicken breast dish on sweet potato, asparagus, and really really yummy dressing over the chicken which tasted amazing ..... it was so good. I will definitely be going back. Welcome to the new Head Chef, I believe his name is Trent ...what a cook !!!

Sensational golf course and so inexpensive in comparison to Sydney. Well worth a round and a drink/meal afterwards.

Didn't play but had a great Chicken Parma whilst overlooking the golf course. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Will go back when visiting the area

Nice greens. Went here for a mates birthday and played terrible however I was not made to feel bad about myself. Staff are nice. The chips at the club are awesome and come in a big bowl.

Service good food fair+ good size. Staff obliging and friendly

Went for a coffee. Lovely outlook. Very clean. Would come back for lunch.
