We've recently settled in Port Macquarie and discovered our favourite dining spot! Early on, we tried the calamari at Golf Club Restaurant - it's the best I've ever tasted: fresh, light, and perfectly crispy. Unlike other places where calamari can be oily and heavily breaded, here it's always just right, demonstrating their impressive consistency. We've dined here multiple times, and the calamari remains a standout. The daily specials are a delight too. I was fortunate to find Blue Eye Cod on the menu one day - a rare find and my absolute favourite. It was the best cod I've had in Australia, cooked flawlessly, with a fresh, thick cut, juicy texture, and perfectly paired sides and sauce. I wish this dish was a regular menu item; I'd order it every visit! My husband, meanwhile, raves about the double chicken parmi. He told me it's the best he's ever had! Juicy and perfect size !
We highly recommend the Golf Club Restaurant. Not only is the food exceptional, but the views overlooking a beautiful golf field are simply amazing. It's a complete dining experience that should not be missed :)
