We enjoyed our lunch in Poppie's Bistro. We both had the Hamburger and Chips. The service was fast, the kitchen looked so clean and the Hamburger and Chips was delicious, fresh and tasty! Staff both in Bistro and RSL were friendly and even all the patrons said "hello" when we walked past! The Bistro is upstairs of the RSL and no bar available. But there is a lift to grab drinks to bring into restaurant. Water was available in Bistro. Very modern Bistro and comfy seats! We will be back to try some more dishes!! Highly recommend!

Had a very nice meal of chicken snitty with bacon and cheese chips and salad but they did not have pepper sauce disappointing for my husband. Dining is upstairs and you have to get your drinks downstairs they did have a lift but we saw nobody use it they must like to keep fit. Very nice night

Only stopped in for some takeaway Chinese .Amazing food for the price so if you are in the area in I would recommend.

Great and friendly place to visit

I spent Melbourne Cup 2020 there. Great covid safe environment. The beer was cold, I was paying $5 for Tooheys New schooners. Friendly salt of the earth country folk. I would definitely take children there, not a swear word to be heard, even when money was lost on the races. Will go back again.

Waited 9mins for service due to the President refusing to put Staff behind the bar. The employee was present in the Club but was not asked to work, even though the bar was very busy!

We recently went to the Chinese restaurant above the rsl for dinner. The Chinese food was honestly one of the best chinese I've eaten, the food was perfectly seasoned and cooked nicely. The service and people were super kind and helpful. They also have deals you can get, such as lunch specials or benquets.

We went on a night where it was quite busy, but the people were able to work very efficiently. The whole restaurant was basically full with people eating in, but we still got our order in a very efficient time. By the looks of it everyone was pleased with the timing of their foods, and the quality of the service.

Fairly typical for small town club. Bar is downstairs. Foor and good function area is upstairs. Disability access to upstairs is by lift - slow.

It's a good space but don't really recommend dining there... the food there was blend and not worth the price. Good ambience though
