Travelling from the Central Coast to have lunch here and take in the fabulous view, we were most disappointed in the meal. The oysters were no bigger than a twenty cent piece and the mornay was watery and flavourless to no end. The main meals size left a lot to be desired for what was paid also. A lovely day spoilt by a very ordinary meal!!

I wouldn't recommend eating here. We got 3 meals and 2 of them were not good. King prawn spaghetti, the prawns smelt bad and not large. Could not eat the meal. Chicken Ceaser salad, the sliced chicken pieces were tough like it was 3 or 4 days old. Too much ceased dressing also. Staff service was non-existent from placing the measa on the table. You have to make a pre booking to eat in the restaurant so we dined in the main area. Meals are ordered from the restaurant. Never going back there.

There's always a danger in giving good reviews. A place picks up too much business and you need to book months in advance to come back.

The yacht club has had a change in kitchen staff, which has resulted in some absolutely amazing food being served. Our attempt to try a few different dishes via the banquet menu, was greeted with some of the best food we've had, most certainly in all of Toronto. A recommendation would be to modify the dish sizes to a degustation size. Simply as would be doing your taste buds a disservice by not having multiple meals.

Unfortunately need to go to the bar in the next room to get your drinks, and the parking is limited near by. But certainly well worth the visit. Cannot wait to come again during summer to see the lake at sunset while enjoying another sensational meal.
Date night Bandits recommendation is, it is well worth the detour into the region for the meal. Serving staff were wonderful too. Both bar and restaurant.

I am 100% coming back as soon as I can! When we went I got the tortellini, for a starter and I can't remember what else but let me just say it was DELICIOUS! Such lovely staff as well (so friendly and welcoming) as soon as we got there they directed us to our seats and gave us a menu! The view was also fantastic, and you can even moor your boat!

Very disappointed with the food compared to several previous visits. My steak smelled rancid and was barely warm. Partners dish was tasty but no imagination all with one flavour. Oh well will not be returning in a hurry, was surprised to see it so empty for a Saturday night,with less than 10 other diners, maybe the food explains why.

Ordered the lobster thermidor very disappointing, dry and the lobster was cut into small pieces I honestly could not tell what it was

Was the venue of a wedding ceremony and wedding feast. Staff were exceptionally pleasant catering to all our needs. Ceremony was performed on the balcony overlooking the lake and plan B was in place if the weather became inclement. Great venue to hold your wedding.

I was 1of 4 ladies celebrating a birthday there last night. Could not find anybody in the restaurant to direct us to our table that we had pre-booked, so took a seat at the table set for 4 thinking it was ours after looking around and seeing there were no reserve tables.
After waiting for someone to come and take our order finally worked out that you had to walk through the restaurant and a cafe to place your order. Is was then that we were told we were sitting at the wrong table and to move to the next table behind were we were sitting. Your server in the cafe/restaurant would not allow us to individually order and pay for our meals then and there but told us we could come back later and pay for them separately.
When we return to the table we were sitting at we promptly moved to the table behind us unfortunately our glasses had left water marks on the paper tablecloth. When the server returned to the table we had been sitting at and discovered the watermarks on the paper even though she knew it was us and we were sitting right there she made us feel unwelcome for doing so and how people make her feel about this (apparently we were inconsiderate).
We waited a good 40 minutes for our meals that where only average....
Unfortunately we won't be returning which is a shame because it's a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water. Also I feel your waitress needs to dress more age appropriately, skin tight jeans on a ageing lady never looks good with a protruding belly.

Can't rate this place highly enough. Had delicious food, a great view and impeccable service. Wait staff were very friendly and accommodating to a fussy 3 year old. Will be back soon!

We booked in for lunch on a Sunday for a special occasion. Unfortunately no one spoke to us for an hour, so we went to the counter to order - the food did not come for another hour and a half. I understand that it can get busy and potentially we weren't spoken to or order not taken for the kitchen to catch up. However, other tables were being seated after us and their orders were taken before ours (which is why we went to the counter) at no stage was it communicated that there would be a long wait for food. We had young kids at the table and 2.5 hours wait and the lack of communication was very disappointing.

We only went for a Sunday lunch here but were disappointed. My husband and I both ordered two of the fish specials. The fish in both cases appeared to have been frozen and the sauce on mine was so overwhelmingly rich it overcame the flavour of the fish.

Great venue, stunning views as the sun sets on Lake Macquarie. Fantastic venue for your party.

A nice relaxed atmosphere. Very enjoyable with exquisite food. Highly recommend this venue.

If you look beyond the unsmiling and unhelpful woman in charge (twice we had to ask her to take our order, then we couldn't be bothered ordering dessert because she didn't bother to come back to ask what we wanted despite saying we'd like dessert), the restaurant offers great food and terrific view of the lake. The gravalax for entree was excellent and grilled salmon to die for! Dessert menu looked good - pity our previously mentioned unfriendly and unsmiling lady didn't come back.
Prices were reasonable.
I'd happily recommend the restaurant-but maybe you should be prepared to remind staff that you are there - nothing more frustrating than having those who arrive after you get served before you!

We had lunch on Sunday, they were totally unorganized. Lost our order had to wait 1hr 40 minutes for it to arrive. Salmon was only just warm when it finally arrived. Other tables got up and left after not getting their food. We are members of the club but will not be eating there again.

Lovely food. Served in a timely manner. Great company and the facilities were spotless.

Just had our engagement in the function area downstairs and I can not say enough great things about it. Karen was amazing and so accommodating on everything. Food was fantastic, venue was excellent and everyone went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend.

Nice place to relax, have a drink or eat. Easy access (level floors, wheel chair). Great views and plenty of weekend action.

The location and view are second to none, the restaurant staff courteous and patient, the food well presented and delicious. Covid precautions very good though no temperature testing.
