We go here to play pool, eat and gamble a little. Food is good.big place. No craft beer on tap and pool tables don't always work. Very nice staff. Always helpful

This place is ridiculous!!!! I ordered the food at 7:14pm and 40 mins in, I was told to wait longer. I asked the manager and she said wait until the text message comes. I told her I already waited 40 mins and to my surprise she responded with a rude voice saying "the wait is 1hr so wait for your text message!" WHAT IS THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE? I paid so expensive for my food and receive shitty customer service and no food until this point ( at 19:58pm when I'm writing this review)! My daughter crying for food, asked for refund and was still not refunded but asked it should come shortly but it didn't.

Never again. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else

So taking my nan to brunch we made the last minute decision to check the bistro out as it's been many years since we last come, And years ago this bistro was great, It was our go to place for lunch and dinner. We literally walked in looked at the menu My nan said this is an RSL Club you can't justify these prices and we walked out. That was a few months ago Fast forward to last night. We had a couple of beers played a few games Bar Staff is nice enough gaming staff are fantastic The atmosphere just isn't great any more it's definitely not the Great RSL it use to be. We decided to grab dinner After going through the menu My Husband said let's go elsewhere As $27 for a chicken schnitzel at a local club is too much (were use to paying $14.50 for 2 pieces a very full plate indeed) I said let's give it ago the prices may be worth it This is our first and only time. My husband got a Prawn Linguine For a dish that has so much going one It was flavourless he ended up put a fair bit of salt and pepper just too give it flavour! I wanted a Chicken Parmi As you can tell alot about a place by there Chicken Parmi's Well I was in complete shock when I read that you charge an extra $6 for ham! WTAF Charging an extra $6 for an ingredient that's automatically part of the dish. Like you don't charge people extra for putting eggs in an egg salad or Beetroot on a hamburger How Unaustralian Shame on you! So I just got a schnitzel The piece was small to medium But it was cooked very nicely for a frozen piece (And yes I know it's frozen because I've worked in Hospitality long enough to tell the difference) the veggies were cooked nicely it was a very basic pub meal definitely not worth the money though After this experience it makes up very hesitant to try your other restaurants at the club something we were excited to do.

I am a long time member of Smithfield RSL Club. Its nice to go back. The only thing the price of the food not the same as the other clubs. Very very expensive and not even great food. The only thing good is the Latte is very nice perfect full of froth.🙏

Despite the bustling atmosphere and full tables, my experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing.
The promise of a great meal based on the crowd was quickly dashed.
We ordered four different types of dumplings and fried wontons, only to find that the wontons were mostly fried dough with very little filling. The first batch of dumplings had thick dough and no sauce accompaniment, and despite hoping for better with the next batch, all four types arrived without any sauce either.
It was so busy that we couldn't even flag down a server for chili sauce or soy sauce. Overall, the flavors were lacking, and the whole experience left much to be desired.
