My husband and I enjoyed our last night dinner at the Rock salt restaurant inside South West Rocks Country Club.
We didn't expect such generous portions at a local club, the produce was so fresh. Our meal was scrumptious. My steak was very tender, the lobster was perfectly cooked, and the chicken was juicy ????"????- . Most of all friendly attentive customer service. We give it a 4.5 ??'??

Easy to access and clean spot. It's nice but not great. The food was average - not great. The staff were probably the best part of the club. They were really great. They were very attentive and engaging. Not the first place I would visit whilst in south west rocks. It's just kind of average. There is a bottle if you need one.

South West Rocks Country Club is a very large Club with all things sport and leisure. The arcade downstairs is very well set up.

Drinks is very well priced, Service was a bit hit and miss and didn't reach the same standards we have had all along the east coast in similar clubs.

The chicken parmi was very nicely prepared and went down a treat. 4.5 stars if I could.

Very disappointed with the food. if you're going to charge 38 dollars for one lamb shank it better be huge ,not the case. won't eat there again.

Great place to come for the classic pub experience. Large range of drink and food options. All food was good.

Fantastic complex with 18 hole golf course, fitness centre, swimming pool, tennis courts and a restaurant and bar serving meals 7 days a week. Golf course has lovely greens, but they are on the hard side, not particularly receptive, fairways are a bit dry at the moment. The layout is interesting with a lot of variation including some shorter holes requiring some planning off the tee. Very nice and friendly golf shop staff and Green fees of $36 for 18 holes. Electric carts are available. Lots of wildlife on the course including Kangaroos and lizards.

On holidays in SWR which is a beautiful location. Took the kids to ten pin bowling which happens to be under the country club. I don't carry a handbag or purse with me, everything is on my phone including a photo of my license, front and back. Get to the front counter and they won't let me in as I don't have my physical license with me (which the photo of is good enough to apply for finance but apparently not good enough to id you to go ten pin bowling) as the license needs to be scanned into the machine. I asked what happens if your only form of id is a passport which obviously won't go into the machine... "oh, we just type your details in in that case".... yet couldn't type my details in from the photo??

Very large club. Good basic menu. Good selection of ber and wine.

Dropped in for a sandwich and a coffee at the club and a look at the golf course. Definitely will return for a round or two.

The South West Rocks Country Club is a lovely club to visit, welcoming and friendly staff, varied sporting facilities. From the Bistro you can look over the sporting fields and watch the wallabies grazing. There is also an Osprey nest. Easy parking and meals are well priced and generous in proportions. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend SWRCC.

Please show you supervisor and young staff member in gaming room this it is clearly written on poker machine I was playing as per photo below. So asked for a coffee. Rude arrogant supervisor that had absolutely no customer service skills arrived with a very poor attitude. Disputed that they supply free coffee for people playing the machines. My husband and I have travelled Australia and have always had wonderful experiences in all the clubs we have visited. WE WALKED OUT AND WOULD NEVER COME BACK. Not the point of a free coffee the point is in front of others players disputed this. Evidently worked there for 10 months should know better.

Great course in good condition.

Awful service all round. 'Chef' verbally dressed down another staff member in front of customers. There's no options for kids meals with allergies/intolerances. The gentleman who got dressed down by the chef was lovely and friendly but that's where it stopped.
Bar staff were exceptionally rude and it was a huge effort for them to get our drinks. Like we were a huge inconvenience. We were served twice by 2 different people, both with awful and disrespectful customer service attitudes.

The meals were poor at best. Soggy, flavourless parmy. Only 1 flathead fillet from the 3 pieces of fish on the plate.
Weren't given a receipt or a buzzer. Server had no idea about the lunch specials even though they were the 'chef'.

I don't think I've given a review ever for an establishment this poor. Awful staff, awful service, awful food. Will not be back.

Average food and average atmosphere. The bar staff were rude, they seemed like they were made to go out of their way to make me a drink (the bar was empty). I have worked busy bars, so it makes sense when it's a hassle during a rush, but there were four staffed and the bar was dead quiet on a Wednesday.

The food was poor. $40 for a steak is a big ask for a club, only for it to be burnt to a crisp (I asked medium rare, like I would understand if you made it medium but $40 for well done when I asked for rare is awful).

The bowling alley downstairs is cute, it's a nice clean alley and probably the highlight of the club. $12.50 for a game is not bad.

For the only major club in the area, you'd think they could put a lot of that holiday pokie money into some decent service though. Avoid if you're just coming for dinner, there are plenty of other options in town.

Went to the Fleetwood Mac tribute show...Rumours. Was ok....the seating however wasn't ideal for the show. The seats were too close together and not facing the front...The bench tables separating the rows of chairs were very narrow...all in all...it was just very cramped. The club itself, from what I could see, looked great. Would definitely be a member if we moved to SWR.

Had dinner in the bistro....perfectly cooked steaks. Cocktails delicious and staff were lovely. Got the courtesy bus from Ingenia holiday park .... a great night out?

Very very noisy. Mains came out while we were still eating our entree. Staff seemed unhappy. Bar staff were a little confused when we were trying to order a bottle of wine (maybe they were in training). Had been looking forward to having dinner but unfortunately it was a disappointment.

We only went for lunch and ten pin bowling. Totally understaffed, poor girls run off their feet. Very nice venue though. Attending staff friendly & great sense of humour. Not keen on the menu for myself. Would recommend checking it out for yourself.

Decent waiting time, food came out pretty fast. Our table specificity asked for no dressing on the salad and the server wrote a note to the kitchen specifying this. When the food came out there was dressing on all the salads ordered. One of the ladies from the kitchen came out and started having a go at the server that was trying to juggle everything at once even though the server already asked them if we could all have no dressing prior to ordering. Despite that, the server was amazing and was going above and beyond for her customers.

Good food but the chef had a fight with the other staff over us not wanting dressing on the salads - gave us dressing on the salads anyway

Decent food servings and quality. The establishment itself is exactly what you would expect from a beach country town. Vulgar carpets, fluorescent lighting, NRL blasting, thongs and shorts.

Have eaten at the Country Club Bistro for years. This was the most disappointing ever. Ordered, told to expect 45 minute wait. Wasn't overly busy in comparison with previous years. One meal came out after an hour. Two hours later,after multiple enquires about our meals, our entrees arrived with our mains, not ideal. Corn still frozen, rissoles very raw, breads had to be asked for. We had an insulin dependent diabetic so not good for them.
Front of restaurant staff were doing their best but obviously some serious system issues. We like the Country Club but it makes it a bit harder not being able to eat there also.

The club has everything thing, golf course, Bowls Green, & you should see the the bowling alley it's amazing, the club is great, the staff are friendly, food is good it's a great place for the children with the bowling alley a great place for them to play plus you can eat & drink down stairs as well.

Nice club to visit. Was there for a social rock and roll party.
Staff pleasant, plenty of parking.

The bowling people are spectacular, the restaurant is great, the front desk is out of this world the chap who drove the bus was simply the best , the security lady in the auditorium is extremely poor at her job by turning a blind eye to jerks speaking so loudly while the artist is trying to introduce songs. So annoying, poor RSA rude mongrels waving at people trying to give them the eye to be quite. The male supervisor little better disappearing when the song finished to be not there when the loud mouths are destroying the ambience of the room.

Had a great time with friends at the ten pin bowls and best meal ive ever had there at the restaurant. Somethings changed since I was last there.

Pad Thai which Chicken and Chilli Barra with the best sauce every.Hubby would had used a spoon to drink all the sauce if there was one in his utensils package.

The restuarant provided quick and fantastic meals even though they were getting smashed with customers. Massive servings and reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

We went for dinner and made a last minute decision to do ten pin bowling.Dinner was good, not excellent for the price we paid. Three mains cost over $90 which was too much for the quality of food.Bowling on the otherhand was excellent. The lanes, shoes and balls seem brand new. It was a lot of fun and the staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back for bowling.
