Love sporting legends, great atmosphere, incredible choices, and flexibility with your order. 10/10 have eaten here now 6 times and have not been disappointed once. The staff are professional and prompt. The kitchen does not make you wait for your meal. You can hear them communicating with one another, which is always good to see a kitchen working well. Great place with fantastic $20 lunch menu. Great value and a pub that still serves complimentary heated bread rolls! Separated pokies area if that is your thing and a great dessert self serve with soft serve and lollies for the kids or big kid!

A Gentleman named Rio was the first staff member we came across, he was very passionate about his job.
Making sure we had enough room on our table for a high chair and wheelchair.

Made sure we ordered our meals before a bigger party ordered so we didn't go hungry.
Asked the chefs about dietary needs etc. Meals we ordered were absolutely delicious, full of flavour and really filling. Highly recommended.

Its been quite sometime to go and have a pokie - the music was clearly what certain bar staff enjoy.
Heavy rock Music ; the kind that annoys you to the core! It is hardly an enjoyable thing to listen to while trying to relax. please consider older consumers and aesthetics in music sets the tone.

Really enjoyed the Vegan Parma w vegan cheese / potato rosti. Side veggies were cooked lovely, side salad was nice and colourful

Ten minute wait on a Thurs lunch, very quick ? Hubby had the bangers & mash with veg l had fish with veg, both on seniors menu. The fish only just fitted on the plate and so juicy and fresh. Hubby cleaned up the lot! Thank you to the pleasant and happy staff. Food always delicious ?

Towards the TAB area you'll find a large sports screen with pool table and couches / tables to sit. All the staple beers on tap (draught/dry) at reasonable prices. Food was great, if you missed out on booking at the bistro, can order and bring your meal to watch the game!

Went here with a friend for lunch on a Friday. Picked our own table, waitress very friendly said you can stay here don't move. Menu great. Seniors meals varied choices. My friend had Fish & Salad with Chips. I had Beef Cheeks (so tender) with gravy, sweet potato mash, beans and broccoli. We loved our meals, atmosphere and staff were lovely. Afterwards we got a takeaway coffee from the lounge which was also delicious ?

Unfortunately wasn't happy. I'll wait a month and give it another go. Roast of the day was very nice. Hot veggies. I did not like the crackle straight from a pack of crisps sprinkled on the veggies. Come on please. Crackle from a pack of crisps. Ordered oysters Natural got Kirkpatrick. They were sweet and the size of a 5 cent piece. Staff acknowledged we ordered Natural but we were left with the Kirkpatrick and the kitchen was made aware of the error. Steak scotch fillet too much salt. Staff were great very friendly ??'? Drinks nice and cold

New menu is great, food is super quick coming out. Free bread rolls always a win and new ice cream and lolly station for the kids.

Very large place with big restaurant and function rooms. Also Pokies
We had the Bruschetta which was scrumptious and also the roast dinner washed down with water, beer and bubbles

While passing through, visited this place for dinner as reviews seemed to be good. To say it was a disappointment is an understatement.
It was said the staff are friendly. Perhaps if your previous interactions were with an ATM, yes, it felt as they went above and beyond.
Now the food... My son ordered a burger and specified he would like it without the tomatoes. Plate was placed in front of him with the comment "burger without tomatoes". First glance at it at was two pieces of tomatoes, perhaps equalling to one third of a juicy tomato.
My grilled barramundi. As the saying goes, if only it could speak. Based on how dry the "flakes" of barramundi were, one cannot be blamed for thinking, that poor fish has not opened its mouth for quite an alarming period of time.

And then there was the Carbonara. I have heard that old saying, to see whether the pasta is cooked, the old test is to throw it on the splash back. Well, the over cooked consistency here meant, forget about just throwing it on the splash back, why not go ahead and re do the grouting of that back splash tiles.

In summary, felt as the chef has lost that loving feeling.

Bottom line, if hungry, approx 100 meters from this place is a KFC. I highly recommend it

Came to the Sporting Legends for dinner whilst in town. This was obviously the place to go for a pub feed as it was buzzing for a Tuesday night. Staff were happy and friendly and found us a table straight away. Food was very reasonably priced and was decent quality. Portion size was again good for the money. Beer was cheap and cold and plenty of options both boutique and standard. Plenty of options on the menu. Heaps of parking, all in all very good.

Excellent parmas in lots of variety. Otherwise fairly limited menu. Service was friendly and efficient. Will visit again!

I just Wish we had something as good as this venue in Bairnsdale. The staff are super friendly the meals are 100%. Sunday Roast for lunch a huge Bang for you buck ??'?we will be back ??'?5 stars all the way (there was more crackle but I ate some ?)

Not a bad pub at all, great staff very friendly and helpful, sports bar was good has 2 pool tables, meal for awesome was very impressed with my chicken ceaser salad, meals came out in great time to, pokies were good because we had a win so was a decent night out all round ??'?

Waited an hour for our meals, my steak was burnt. And missus wasn't too keen on her mixed grill. Very disappointed will not be going back for a meal.

Staff very courteous meal size huge definitely value for money

I'm wondering if the staff are paid more to be rude and completely uninterested in their job's. We called hours ahead of our booking to say we were expecting less people the msg wasn't passed on and Nigel was so rude to us saying well he couldn't change the tables now and we felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The young girl behind the bar wasn't interested in checking our covid cert and when she had to serve us drinks it was as if we asked for one of her organs.

First time back for Friday night raffles and dinner for quite some time because of COVID. Loved the steak with mushroom sauce and enjoyed the raffles dispite not winning. Highly recommend!

The honey chicken tasted nice but there was way too much sauce. The sauce consistency was like water also.
