The Golf Course Reviewer

I must say, Springwood Country Club surprised me. Quite an underrated course I must admit. The Par 69 course is filled with small surprises that impressed me. Located outside the main town away from the noice, the club is home to an 18 hole golf course and a squash court.
There were definitely a few standout holes, but I must say hole 2 was quite an interesting challenge with the extremely steep approach shot. Other than those, the layout and scenery was very nice for a public course.
Practice facilities included a water driving range, two large nets, and a putting green. Lessons are avaliable on site for those needing them.
Maintenence was very well done, smooth greens with clean fairways and neat bunkers. It certainly surprised me to discover that this course is not privately owned with the quality I saw.
The clubhouse is home to a nice cafe and bistro overlooking the golf course, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Another thing that surprised me was that the club still uses petrol carts, which were certainly louder than the electric carts often seen in most courses. They were also a bit difficult to operate. Once you get used to it, they're like any other cart.
To conclude, I couldn't recommend this course anymore. It's great for golfers of all levels, or even to have a hit on the weekend. I would rate my experience and everything else a solid 4.6/5 (rounded up to 5) :)
